Answers:
In 2008, we lost an average of 317,250 private sector jobs per month. In 2010, we have gained an average of 95,888 private sector jobs per month. (Source) That's a difference of nearly five million jobs between Bush's last year in office and President Obama's second year.
In FY2009, which began on September 1, 2008 and represents the Bush Administration's final budget, the budget deficit was $1.416 trillion. In FY2010, the first budget of the Obama Administration, the budget deficit was $1.291 trillion, a decline of $125 billion. (Source) Yes, that means President Obama has cut the deficit -- there's a long way to go, but we're in better shape now than we were under Bush and the GOP.
On Bush's final day in office, the Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 closed at 7,949, 1,440, and 805, respectively. Today, as of 10:15AM Pacific, they are at 11,108, 2,512, and 1,183. That means since President Obama took office, the Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 have increased 40%, 74%, and 47%, respectively.

Alas, Shaw, I fear the coming wave.
The Dems will not beholding the House, and perhaps this is a good thing.
They were never on board with Obama and were, it seems just waiting for a Dem to win so they could trot all of their pet projects.
And so they did.
Our representatives and Senators are the reason this election is lost. President Obama wrongly believed they gave a damn about more than their personal districts and projects.
What he forget to factor in was the fact that after his eight years, they will still be in Washington and they voted to protect that interest more than anything else.
The Dems were not loyal to President Obama and his vision as much as their own survival.
The irony is that because of that, many will be losing their seats tomorrow night.
I see that wave as well. But I do not despair--yet. When the House is taken over by the GOP, they own, along with Mr. Obama, whatever happens to this country.

The contrast is amazing, but alas the people don't care I guess...sad really, but like you Shaw I see this as a chance for America to see the GOP's plans. Either they will work with the president or they will take the country down. But if they do try and take us down I hope it destroys them for good!

Ah Nevada, It is not looking good for Harry. I'll be posing on this tomorrow, but I think he is going to lose by 2 or 3 percentage points.
Jon Ralston, the top political writer in Nevada, predicts that somehow Reid will pull it out. By maybe a vote.
Nevada will lose Dina Titus, a Dem who was elected in 2008 to the House.
The statehouse will remain Republican.
Let's not forget that by and large, Nevada is a conservative state, part of the original Sagebrush Rebellion, and so for a Progressive or Liberal to win, it's an uphill battle, even with the Democratic base in Clark County [Las Vegas].
Perhaps Nevada is close enough that Harry can win with the The Professor's Cell Phone Theory.
I hope so, but I am not confidant.
Your analysis is accurate though on the House. On 1/1/11, if they win, the GOP can start implementing their plan, and then finally, after two years of nothing from those hacks, we can have a real choice in 2012.
I believe the Dems will then win and finally be ready to really support a reelected President Obama.
Shaw, Sarah Palin, with her most recent diatribe and language, is just another in a long line of conservative "jesus loving" politicians who use names and character assignations to skewer their opposition, much to the delight of their conservative "jesus loving" friends.
How this gets squared with a biblical admonition to consider others better than ourselves [Phil. 2] and Jesus words that to call someone a fool is equal to murder, [Sermon on the Mount] I cannot fathom.
I guess I should add before tries to jump in on this that yes, the Dems do the same thing, but they are much less likely to be operating from a standpoint that they are following God's will as they go about their life in politics.
