The Trumpublican's CPAC will have the Hungarian dictator, Viktor Orban speak at their gathering in August

Is there an explanation as to why the Trumpublican Party's CPAC wants to host this dictator as a featured speaker in August? Can anyone explain why Orban, a man who promotes racial purity, is the darling of the Trumpublican Party?

Here's one explanation from the Washington Post:

I don't know about all of my readers here at P.E., but I do know that the men in my family -- my sisters' husbands -- (my husband wasn't born until after WWII) fought the Nazis in WWII. They fought against the idea of "racial purity" and the genocide of people who Hitler thought were not of the "pure" Aryan race. In fact, in my lifetime, I've never met an intelligent American who was FOR the idea of "racial purity" because it does not exist.

Right now, in America, in a country where thousands and thousands of men and women gave their lives fighting Nazism, a group of people, Trumpublicans, are now embracing and promoting a man who echoes what Hitler did in Germany in the 1930s.

Where is their shame? What the hell happened to these people? Where is their patriotism and honor for the men and women who fought and died for an idea that the Trumpublican Party now embraces?

 

"A gathering of US conservatives in Texas next week will still include Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as a speaker despite his recent comments which prompted a long-time ally to resign from his government and compare his comments to Nazism. 

 In a speech over the weekend to supporters in Romania, Orban railed against a “flood” of migrants being “forced” on Hungary. He said he wanted to prevent Hungary from becoming a “mixed-race” country, adding that countries with a high level of racial mixing are no longer countries. Zsuzsanna Hegedus, who is Jewish and his long-time ally and adviser, resigned. The Romanian foreign minister also criticized the remarks."

NOTE:  There is no such thing as a "pure race" in Hungary or any country.

But GUNS! GUNS! GUNS! She is a legislator who knows GUNS!

And here we have Lauren Boobert, whose husband was arrested for exposing himself to a minor, and who has a police record herself; who got her GED just before being elected to Congress; and is proud to tell her constituents that she'll bring a weapon to Congress along with her recently acquired GED. Aren't the people in her district Lucky Duckies? 

Eric Greitens, running for US Senate from Missouri, was the 56th governor of Missouri from January 2017 until his resignation in June 2018 amid allegations of sexual assault and campaign finance impropriety.  He's proud to tell you, while holding his lethal weapon, that he'll go after all the RINOs (y'know the Republicans who aren't insane) when he's elected. He seems nice.

I don't even know who this jerk is, but LOOK! he's holding a weapon, so that must mean he's a Trumpublican running for office who knows nothing about legislating, but everything about shooting things. WooHoo!

And lastly, here's another Trumpublican, Dr. Oz. The MAGA-Republican insurrection fantasies even inspired him to try his hand at the cosplay, promising to use his gun against “an overly intrusive government," which, for those in the back who didn't quite hear that correctly, means he'll commit crimes against the United States government if it doesn't do what HE wants! We have a word for that sort of thing, boys and girls, -- treason. The MAGAts love Dr. Oz!

None of Texas' quality of life metrics were in the top 50 percent of U.S. states, according to a new report. The study found weaknesses in the state's childcare, health resources, inclusiveness and voting rights.

 "Texas is the second-worst state to live in but the fifth-best state for business, according to a new report. 

 The 2022 version of CNBC's "Top States for Business" study found that Texas scored just 72 out of a possible 325 points in the "Life, Health and Inclusion" category, earning an "F" grade. 

 CNBC said quality of life was given "particular attention" in this year's study and considered factors like crime rates, environmental quality and health care. 

For the first time in 2022, the availability of childcare was also a factor. The inclusiveness of state laws, including protections against discrimination and voting rights, was also among the factors. 

 "Skilled workers are still flocking to Texas despite longstanding quality of life issues," CNBC wrote. "When they arrive, they are finding limited childcare options, a stressed health care system with the highest rate of uninsured, new curbs on voting rights and few protections against discrimination." 

 None of Texas' quality of life metrics were in the top 50 percent of U.S. states. The CNBC study found weaknesses in the state's childcare, health resources, inclusiveness and voting rights."

Here's my take-away from last night's January 6 hearing:

 

Trump was told about the riot within 15 minutes of returning to the Oval Office – but he didn’t call law enforcement or military officials. Instead, he tried to persuade senators to delay the certification vote. 

While he watched his mob storm the Capitol, he tweeted out an attack on Mike Pence – putting a target on the back of his Vice President and encouraging the mob. 

He ignored the pleas of multiple advisors – and even his own children – to condemn the violence and tell his mob to back down.

Trump deserves prison time for his traitorous behavior. Those who continue to support Trump and who dismiss what happened on January 6, are a clear and present danger to our country.

What sort of immoral monster poses with a lethal weapon like this and glorifies it as mothers and fathers bury their massacred children?

Governor Abbott skipped every single Uvalde funeral. 

But look! He loves his lethal weapons!

This is what the Republican party has become. 

They have no platform. 

They have nothing to offer to further our country's progress. 

It's just "GUNS" and "JESUS", and punishing girls and women.
