UPDATE ON THE GARCIA CASE: If you dare criticize what the Trump regime did, you could be put in prison!
White House 'counterterrorism czar' Sebastian Gorka says Americans who criticize deportations like that of Abrego Garcia are 'aiding and abetting terrorists' — a criminal offense. pic.twitter.com/ZdjahFyvmG

It is the Trump regime that is anti-Constitution and against the rule of law. The people who are calling for the return of Kilmer Abrego Garcia are on the side of the law -- The U.S. Constitution. Gorka is lying.
"A clearly illegal move, literally a crime, committed by Trump here. The IRS should just say no, but Trump installed loyalists throughout his administration, so he could trample over the Constitution and U.S. Code to pursue his retribution, and to arbitrarily punish anyone who won’t bow to him. He’s nothing more than a gangster, a two-bit thug in an ill fitting suit. If the IRS caves, this will go to court and he’ll lose. An honest AG would press charges against him, but she’s anything but honest (that’s why she got the job)." --Boston Globe reader
ReplyDeleteThe criminal Felon Fuhrer must be living in his ignorant head 24/7 dreaming up his next assaults on our Constitution and the rule of law.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately a sizable share of our voting population applauds the Felon Fuhrer's assault on our Constitution and the rule of law.
MAGA was but a divisive tactics used by the Criminal Felon Fuhrer to get his non thinking sheeple to rally around. Using the playbook authored by Adolph Hitler. The book Trump the criminal Felon Fuhrer kept on his nightstand.
As long as this thug criminal is allowed to trample our democratic institutions, the Constitution, and the rule of law nobody is safe in America unless they bend a knee to Fuhrer and kiss his fat ass.
Harvard is entitled to billion dollar tax breaks? Who knew? Why don't I deserve a tax break and billion dollar grants?
ReplyDeleteMaybe because you're not as important or relevant to America's cultural, educational, judicial, political, and historical history as Harvard is? Ever think of that?
DeleteYeah, that used to be true. Harvard was once great... but its' relevance today is shrinking daily.
Delete"The vast majority of public and private universities and colleges are tax-exempt entities as defined by IRC Section 501(c)(3) because of their educational purposes—purposes that the federal government has long recognized as fundamental to fostering the productive and civic capacity of its citizens—and/or the fact that they are state governmental entities. In turn, states generally grant tax-exempt status to organizations, including universities and colleges, which qualify as tax-exempt entities under Federal law."

As usual, -FJ, you can have your own opinions, but you can't have your own facts.
Violate Title IX and see how long your federal funding lasts, BB.
DeleteLive by the Fed$... Die by the Fed$!
Next year let's revisit the above list. :)
DeleteThere was a Harvard long before Trump and there will be one long after.
ReplyDeleteHard to keep up Shaw... A POTUS ignoring the SCOTUS. A POTUS refuses to support due process, a legal right enshrined in the US Constitution, to a suspected criminal. The economy is heading off the cliff. And yet, we miss the small stuff.
ReplyDeleteLike this.
GOP Rep. Dan Meuser said the “Left has to look in the mirror too” after condemning an arson attack against Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, citing what he calls Democrats’ use of “violent and hostile commentary” as a contributing factor for these kinds of attacks.
How is this not essentially the "She needs to wear more conservative clothes" argument GOP ppl have used for years to rationalize or excuse rape?
Honestly, Meuser would have a lot more credibility if he had in the past, said all political violence is wrong [think J6] or had been critical of Candidate and President Donald Trump when he has actually called for explicit violence [punch them in the face, knock them out, lock her up, etc.] towards political opponents.
Finally, for me personally, no one and I mean no one, has any credibility if they supported, either quietly or with full voice, the pardons of the J6 offenders. Anyone who does not believe the people who were violent towards the US officers that day do not deserve long sentences and jail time, simply needs to leave the political arena. IMHO.
I grew up in the 60's and saw the extremes of political violence. I know ppl personally who were impacted and experienced the "recent" political violence in both Portland and Harney County, Oregon. I know ppl who have spent time in prison after being charged with domestic terrorism charges in the US. I've lost friends killed by political violence in Mexico.
Protest all you want, peacefully. But if you get violent, be prepared for the consequences. And if you can't, or won't say that, then shut up because you have no right to comment on political violence, or even enter into the discussion.
IMHO
The people acting out against Garcia still will not face the fact that the Trump regime denied Garcia DUE PROCESS. Maybe they don't know what that means. And if that's true, they should educate themselves before making fools of themselves.
ReplyDeleteSo what you are for is an elite university who has an endowment in excess of 50 billion dollars would get funds from working taxpayers. Where is the leftists outrage against billionaires when they support the peak of billionaire excess. I am not surprised that the left would support taxpayer support for harvard since they are all for paying tuition for other rich kids.
ReplyDeleteSee BB-Idaho's post above for enlightenment. Would you tear down everything that has made this country a leader? It seems you and others who've posted here would love to see that. Why?
DeleteDid it ever occur to you that there are things in this country worth supporting?
Or are you a cynic who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing?
Many people do want to be enlightened Shaw. Their solidified ego combined with wilfull ignorance is all they ever listen to it seems. Sadly.
DeleteShould read do not want to be enlightened.
DeleteWhy should the average taxpayer support an elite private institution that produces some of the most successful billionaires in the country. Shouldn't they support the elite institution that made them rich.
ReplyDeleteI would rather see that money go to support our veterans and homeless but you would rather support the uber rich who you and the left proclaim to detest.
Hypocrites are abundant in the democrat party with the multi millionaire bernie and the leader of the party AOC stumping against millionaires, ironic isn't it.
Take the money that tRump wants to give billionaires and millionaires through making his 2017 to cuts permanent as well as additional cuts to the uber wealthy to do that skud.
DeleteSkud said... "I would rather see that money go to support our veterans and homeless..."
DeleteSkud, I thiunk we can do both. The US can "support our veterans and homeless" and make education available at some of the world's best universities to many deserving and qualified students who normally could not afford such an education.
My wife has many cousins, all from pretty meager beginnings who have studied at Harvard and other Ivy League schools on scholarships. Without those scholarships, that would never have been possible. As a result, yes, each of them makes a nice salary. The American dream.
Do a few billionaires get in too? Of course, and the exceptions always get the most publicity. But many other regular folks get in too.
Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water...
Rev, I guess haavard would have to do away with scholarships if they lose their federal grants. After all with their tuition rate 50 BILLION doesn't go very far especially in the Boston area. From 2020 to 2021 it only grew 12 Billion or 34% so not receiving federal funds would take them out of the grant phase and they would have to seek funds from their billionaire alum's.
ReplyDeleteThere are a number of non-private schools where students can go but you would miss the opportunity to network with the truly rich and famous lizzy warren.
skud, like tRump supports throwing the baby out with the bath water.
