Trump didn’t write that book. While "The Art of the Deal" is credited to Donald J. Trump, the book was actually written by Tony Schwartz, who served as the ghostwriter. Trump hasn’t the intellect to put two cogent thoughts together, never mind write a book. Nor does he have the discipline to do so.
You are desperate to fashion Trump as some sort of Nietzchen Übermensch, when, in fact, he’s one of Eliot’s “Hollow Men.”
Anyone else notice how completely off balanced, frazzled, and pissed tRump looks? He just might be getting close to the edge. He better watch his blood pressure. He just might pop an artery. If he does? Oh well.
Having lived with a couple of narcissistic humans in my life I am cringing in advance because I know what is coming. I know the voices whispering in his ears (Miller, Voight, Homan). The debacle that was the G-7 conference (for the US, everyone else seemed to do just fine) will be the icing on the FOTUS's humiliation cake.
Oh, things will continue as 'normal' for a bit but then... Yeah, anyone who has lived in an abusive household knows this time. I called it sucking wind wherein I was almost afraid to breathe because.... Anyhoo...
So, what's next? Oh, I'd say more of the same but on steroids. Arresting Democratic lawmakers. Stripping legal immigrants of their decades of work with Immigration before sending them back to the regimes that wanted to end them in the first place. Eradicating anyone who doesn't look/walk/talk exactly like MAGA. You know, Make America Great/White Again.
We've already had the military detaining an American citizen. ICE feels emboldened enough to arrest politicians for the crime of asking to see the warrant. ICE is detaining American citizens for the crime of 'fitting the profile'.
Added note - not sure who said it but yeah, ICE imposters have already struck across the nation. As of this comment I've read three stories of such events.
Pretty much none of the actions taken by this administration are legal of course but they've been done and once done, they can be done again. Once the case gets to SCOTUS I'm sure MAGA's pocket judges will deliver.
OK let's add religion to the equation.
The Nationalist Christians over on their podcasts are giddy I tell you, giddy with the idea that their apocalypse as foretold in Revelations is about to kick off. I'd say you don't want to know because I needed a shower after listening to them euphorically speak of how all us demons (aka the usual scapegoats for Nationalist Christians) would be crying and dying but if you want to see for yourself, be my guest. As I said, I needed to get clean afterwards and I swim in the sewer of the Interwebz on the regular.
Democratic spokespeople keep using the idea that parents won't want their kids sent to die in another drawn out war so nothing to see here, move on. Only they've not witnessed how Nationalist Christian families have been indoctrinated. Each and every one of them would sacrifice their own child if it meant their concept of a deity would return to rain down fire upon their enemies. To a person they are warriors for their idea of Christ. I call them zombies for Christ but your milage may vary.

This will not end well. I've read enough history to know what will happen to an authoritarian like Trump. It will not be glorious.
