This smells

"The decision to pursue charges against Abrego García now, after he wasn't charged in 2022, led to the resignation of Ben Schrader, a high-ranking federal prosecutor who spent 15 years in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Nashville and was most recently the chief of the criminal division."

"The Trump administration is trying to save face by charging Kilmar Abrego Garcia with illegally transporting undocumented migrants, even though at the time he was deported, Abrego García was not under investigation and hadn't been charged with any crime."

What do you think?

  2. NO SHAW! It doesn't "Smell". And here is the entire story in a nut shell to prove you Absolutely wrong!
The Tennessee Star learned on this past Wednesday that the Disgusting Gang Member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an long time member of the Central American gang Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) who was deported to El Salvador under President Donald Trump amid legal action claiming the removal was by mistake, was suspected of being engaged in human trafficking by a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) officer who detained him in December 2022, leading the THP to contact the FBI for guidance. Within two hours, the FBI who ultimately received their information from Joe Biden requested the Tennessee Highway Patrol release Garcia and the other passengers in his vehicle. Tennessee Highway Patrol complied with the request.that was fiest issued by President Joe Biden.
The Star learned from sources coming from President Biden with the incident that Abrego Garcia was stopped for an unknown reason on December 6, 2022, and that the THP officer responsible for the stop immediately discovered Abrego Garcia was transporting seven passengers, with eight individuals inside the vehicle.

During a nearly two-hour traffic stop, the Tennessee Highway Patrol officer determined that Abrego Garcia (pictured above) was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license and began searching for information about him.
Something about the traffic stop caused concern in the mind of the THP officer that other law enforcement agencies should be alerted. One source told The Star that Tennessee Highway Patrol ultimately discovered Abrego Garcia was on a terrorist watch list, but could not locate Abrego Garcia on a deportation list. Another source told The Star that Tennessee Highway Patrol did not discover Abrego Garcia on a terrorist watch list at first but that another one of the seven passengers in the vehicle was on a terrorist watch list and he had a connection with Abrego Garcia.

  3. Then why this:

"The decision to pursue charges against Abrego García now, after he wasn't charged in 2022, led to the resignation of Ben Schrader, a high-ranking federal prosecutor who spent 15 years in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Nashville and was most recently the chief of the criminal division."

Why would this prosecutor end his career over this? Do you have an answer? Because his resignation says more about this new charge against Abrego Garcia than your comment.

If Abrego Garcia did what the Trump AG says he did, then let the trial decide his guilt or innocence. Trump's lawyer, Pam Bondi, has already tried the case and rendered a verdict in public. Shameful and unprofessional (and possibly illegal) action on her part.

“Abrego Garcia has landed in the United States to face justice,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said at a news conference in Washington. “He was a smuggler of humans and children and women.”

She added, “This is what American justice looks like.”

Two people familiar with the investigation said it made a significant leap forward when an imprisoned man recently came forward offering information about Mr. Abrego Garcia, but there was concern and disagreement among prosecutors about how to proceed. In recent weeks, a supervisor in the federal prosecutor’s office in Nashville resigned over how the case was handled, these people said.

Ms. Bondi went on to level accusations against Mr. Abrego Garcia that were not included in the indictment, claiming that co-conspirators told investigators he had helped smuggle “minor children” and gang members during dozens of trips around the country. She linked him to more serious crimes, including murders and the abuse of women — even though he has only been charged in connection with smuggling.

< i>She also claimed, without providing evidence, that his seemingly law-abiding life in Maryland as a contractor, father and husband was a cover for a criminal activities spanning nine years. Ms. Bondi, who spearheaded the administration’s public relations campaign to discredit him during the court battle, predicted he would be convicted and returned to El Salvador for imprisonment."

Bondi has inserted herself and delivered a verdict in a federal case that hasn't been brought to trial so that the accused can defend himself.

This reminds me of the Soviet era when Communists grabbed a citizen for and said this: "Give him a fair trial, then shoot him."

Bondi's actions in this high-profile case is outrageously unprofessional and it stinks!

  4. We have a fascist administration pursuing absolute power to be invested in the FOTUS. His cult of MAGA is loving it because they want a dictatorial authoritarian tyrant making decisions for them while they believe how much he cares them and the country. It's an illusion they're allowed their minds to accept.

As the republic falters under his assault on the Constitution and the rule of law.

    1. Yes, I saw that. Trump has a talent for choosing unsavory people to work with. He is, after all, a crook, and so he's attracted to other unsavory people who have questionable reputations. And some, like Bannon, who are convicted felons, like Trump himself.

  6. The Captain of the Mother Ship chimes in with a dose of un-American blather:

"I don’t care what Justice Scalia once said, or even about the Constitution if they really both say ‘ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS HAVE RIGHTS IN AMERICA’. "

Tell me you hate our system of justice (the Constitution!) without telling me you hate American justice! LOL!

The Captain goes on: "There can barely BE a worse BUM than the guy who’ve they’ve now brought BACK from Salvador to the States! Abrego Garcia….Adult illegal trafficker, porn pusher, child trafficker, etc etc etc……..and we want to make sure this guy GETS HIS RIGHTS???"

Again, in Communist countries, people have no rights, no defense attorneys, no Habeas corpus, no due process. And Geeez is fine with a form of government that destroys democracy and imprisons citizens without due process.

IMO, she and her sailors would have welcomed the Nazis and the Commies, so long as they rid their country of people they don't like.

Abrego Garcia has not be able to defend himself from these new charges brought by Trump's AG, Pam. He has the right to face his accusers and present his case for judgement before a court of law and to have a judge or jury decide his innocence or guilt. The AG, Pam, has no right to make that decision before Abrego Garcia is put on trial.

John Adams, defending the British soldiers during the trial of the Boston Massacre was reviled for doing so. The British soldiers were acquitted by the facts!

  7. More from the Captain:

"Hakeem Jeffries is eager for ICE agents to be easy to spot, no masks…..He says that if cops don’t wear masks, why should ICE agents? What do you say to that loathsome reptile?"

I'd say Jeffries makes a valid point.

I'd also say that, IMO, the Captain is a tad unhinged.

  8. Well, when a magician points to one and only one direction I like to look elsewhere - I'm just stubborn like that. Whatever is in the Epstein files must be juicy for this many counter measures to hit the streets at the same time.

I hear "human trafficking" from this administration and I think - he had undocumented relatives in his vehicle and he was giving them a ride.

Humans such as Delores up on top have every detail memorized, every talking point in lock step with the MAGAsphere propaganda machine and I'm here to say it's all bunkum. But hey, 100% for memorizing every talking point. As there are so many I'm going to say it wasn't an easy job for someone of such small intellect.

I don't bet often but based on history here is how I believe it played out: Tennessee cop pulls over family of Brown folk, calls the FBI because of course. FBI looks at the case, no one is a criminal so per regulations they are told to leave it. Tennessee is all upset because their male body parts were stepped on by the Famous butt Incompetent and didn't get a chance to terrorize themselves some Brown folks. When they have the chance, retribution is guaranteed because there is nothing on this Earth more fragile than the ego of a mediocre White male in a position of power.

    But Potato Pahtahto, amirite?

    1. Delores is an escapee from the WYD (Who's Your Daddy?) blog. "She" most likely copied, cut, and pasted her comment.

AG Pam has decided that she's the judge and jury in this case and horribly prejudiced it in front of America. IMO, she's nothing but a Trump lackey, who is in her position because she dropped the Trump U. scam suit against Trump in Florida just after the Trump Organization contributed $25 thou to her election fund.

As I said, Trump's a criminal and he attracts unsavory, corrupt people.

    2. Also, Dolores, like others on the WYD blog never come back to engage in conversation once I answer them. They drop their copied, cut, and pasted comments, then slink away, never to be heard from again.

  10. I haven't read the indictment, but it sounds like Garcia has been charged with Conspiracy To Rideshare. That's the best they could do? Pam Bondi also did a bang up job of trying to smear him and poison the jury pool by calling him a groomer. These 21st century Nazis are the worst

  11. Show me the man and I'll tell you his crime. What, you opposed all the Leticia James (et al) "Get Trump" lawfare?

    1. We already did. We showed you the accused criminal, Donald Trump, and then he was adjudicated a sexual assaulter and then found guilty of 34 counts of fraud. But it's only "lawfare" when your crooks are found guilty, isn't it.

And elections are only fraudulent when Trump loses, isn't it. Funny how that works, isn't it.

    2. She literally "ran" on the "get Trump" platform.

    3. It’s a prosecutor’s job to go after people who break the laws. She was correct in going after Trump. He was found guilty of breaking the law. That’s called justice, not lawfare. You’re in a cult.

  12. Always interesting to see those who support women's right fight for a person accused of trafficking women. Garcia is an upstanding illegal and Pam Bondi should be ashamed that she is accusing him of anything. Maybe they can have a big mural of him to celebrate him as a man of honor.

    1. May I remind you that Garcia has not been convicted of trafficking women. That's what Pam and her office is accusing him of.

BTW, Trump wasn't just accused of sexual assault, but was FOUND LIABLE for sexual assault. Who are the women supporting that abomination? Mostly Republican, I guess.

Also, Trump wasn't just accused of committing a felony, he was FOUND GUILTY as charged, with dozens more felonies against him. Who are the people who support a convicted felon as president? Republicans, I guess.

The problem with what Pam did, is that she poisoned a possible jury pool by accusing him and judging him before he had the right to defend himself.

She had told America that Abrego Garcia WAS NEVER COMING BACK TO THE US. And she was wrong. That's why she's acting like a two-bit lawyer who barely passed the bar. What a disgrace!

You often defend people who are accused by saying everyone is supposed to be deemed innocent until proven guilty.

But not in this case. You don't apply your caution to Abrego Garcia. I wonder what's different about him and why you so quickly denigrate people who support women's rights for "supporting" Garcia.

But we're only adhering to what YOU say we should: Assume he's innocent until proven guilty.

  13. He is in the country illegally therefore he is a criminal. His visa is no longer valid so he should be thrown out and except for those suffering from TDS all agree that illegals are criminals.
You do remember that biden wasn't charged with anything because he was a senile old man and that came from a democrat interviewing him.
Why do we need politicians when it is judges who run the country. Garland was about the same caliber as pam except he went after concerned parents standing up for their kids not gang banger's dealing in human trafficking. The left seems to have a habit of making criminals into martyrs and the last election showed that voters feel differently.

Your tolerance for having a criminal in the White House is shocking.

    2. Wow is skud ever triggered. They make unsubstantiated claims, Shaw Kenawe answers with some follow up observations only for skud to skedaddle to their next comment. Triggered is as triggered does.

Here is what made me tell the cat breakfast was going to be late - they've walked on my legs twice in this endeavor so yes, pain is involved. yeah, it's that kind of day.

Anyhoo: skud says "Why do we need politicians when it is judges who run the country." Talk about jumping from metaphorical frying pan into the Constitutional inferno. skud's been mainlining disinformation again at least that's how I see it.

So skud, there are three co-equal branches of government. The fact that judges are ruling against the FOTUS admins actions and unconstitutional EO's isn't "Unelected Judges are ruling the country!!!" - a real thing I heard on Fox by the way so if skud says they never listen how do they have the Fox talking points nailed every time? But I digress.

Judges are supposed to call out the Executive when they overstep their boundaries. Congress has a part to play in all this too although thus far they've rubber stamped every claim to the purse made by the FOTUS admin, forgoing their own power and upsetting the balance which has lasted for at least a couple of centuries.

You are correct Shaw - the Right does have a tendency to favor the criminal element. I'd say a smart Democratic Party candidate could use that fact but it is a truth that most Americans whose ancestors landed on these shores all those years ago were less likely to be a Pilgrim or landed gentry and more often than not an indentured servant or deported criminal. It is in our blood. Not sure what WeThePeople can do about that.

  14. Ms. Shaw, You do relish in the felonies trump was convicted of. Falsifying business records and paying off a hooker don't seem to be in the same category as human trafficking but I'm sure you feel differently. What he was convicted of are business matters which most billionaires not named trump have committed.
I would rather have a president who was guilty of sloppy records keeping than a president who was unaware of his surroundings and was deemed a senile old man. Who was in charge of the government auto pen for 4 years?
Who should be found guilty is the media for their coverups of the previous and current administrations.

    1. Has Garcia been convicted of human trafficking? No. Was Trump convicted of fraud? Yes. See the difference?

And here you are dismissing people who cheat in business -- who commit fraud! Because everyone in business does it! Did you teach your children that lovely value? Cheat because others do it, and it's not as bad as trafficking children, so go ahead and break this law? Is that how you raised your children? Dear Gawd!

You also have no evidence that former President Biden was not in control all the time while president. Until that is proved, it's just your opinion.

Also, thanks for letting us know that you'd rather have a convicted criminal and adjudicated sexual assaulter represent you and your country than Biden.

Trump just the other day threatened Musk if he "dared" to join the Democrats! Threatened a man for exercising his right to leave a political party and maybe join another.

This is what a filthy dictator does to those who don't obey, worship, and aren't loyal to him. And you think he's a good leader?

Every anti-democratic, anti-American fascist crook and politician agrees with you.

  15. You are correct I have no evidence that biden has been incompetent for his entire term. Other than an interview, multiple books, staff members accounts and observations I have nothing.
Never said breaking the law was OK but isn't it breaking the law to lie to the American people for four years. Of course that would put a bulls eye on the DNC and I know you won't allow that. The sex assault was adjudicated by a biased judge not proven by a jury of his peers and the remainder was sloppy books and trusting your accountants.

Everyone with any sense knew the divorce of donnie and elon would be ugly. That's the way trump works and until the democrats come up with some plan to pick a leader and develop a platform trump will continue to huff and puff with no real resistance, except chuckie trying to hold his glasses up.
