A Minnesota Democrat state legislator, Melissa Hortman, was assassinated with her husband 60 days ago. Yet, only Charlie Kirk's death is being recognized. Is this a double standard?

That's because Trump is an agent of violence and chaos. He should have calmed the nation last night, instead he poured gasoline of the fires of rage.

    America has lost her way.

  2. Big Surprise. Neo-Nazis hate being accurately compared to the OG Nazis.

I condemn his murder, but Kirk didn't condemn the Minnesota assassinations.

Let's no mince words. Let the MAGA and corporate media dutifully sing their accolades for Kirk, for I have come to bury Kirk, not to praise him.

His words tell us exactly what kind of white nationalist neo-Nazi he was:

“Woke is the new word for Communism. And Trump needs to exploit that Kamala Harris is a communist.”

"The great replacement of white people is far more sinister than any redistricting project. That is at the core of the Democrat project, at the core. And Jasmine Crockett is just some circus act in that entire operation. But it's deathly serious. She — you shouldn't take what she says seriously. It's just a joke. What she represents is very serious, which is the continue attempt to eliminate the white population in this country."

Enjoy Charlie and Jack Posobiec's conversation from The People's Convention, where they discuss Jack's new book, 'Unhumans,' alongside Joshua Lisec. They dive into the history of Communist revolutions, socialism and Marxism, the links between Communists and today's liberals, and other history you may not know, but should.

"Ketanji Brown Jackson - is what your country looks like on critical race theory. KBJ is your country on CRT. KBJ - Ketanji Brown Jackson - is an embodiment of the tyranny that we currently live under. She's an ideological, unintelligent, yet confident fanatic who is so dismissive that you might even ask the question of what a woman is."

"The Civil Rights Act, though, let's be clear, created a beast, and that beast has now turned into an anti-white weapon."

The Naval Academy is on lockdown from a shooting, Charlie Kirk’s assassin is on the loose, Russia is launching drones into Poland, and Trump is at a Yankees game.

Trump's reaction to Russia sending drones into Poland's air space: "Maybe it was a mistake."

Weak little man afraid to stand up to Putin.

  3. Charlie Kirk is being lionized by too many GOP Congress critters as a "martyr for Christ" even though everything Mr Kirk said and did was the opposite of the instructions Christ left for his followers. But hey, there is a political agenda to achieve so everything is on the table.

I've heard this term several times - that this is the Reichstag fire of our times. Only.... here's the thing. It's been said and hypothesized that while one person was held accountable for the fire back in the day, there was no way one person could achieve the size of the fire, so help had to be given but who did the helping? Nazi's blamed the communists (of course) but a lack of hard evidence meant that lead went cold. What hasn't gone cold is the idea that the Nazis did the deed themselves using their scapegoat as cover.

So when the right wing podcasters and politicians start throwing around these old emotionally charged terms I have to ask myself... who gains the most from Mr. Kirk's death? It's not the LGBTQIA+ community as they are now all targets for the wrath o' MAGA. Neither does the Left gain any political points because their message is and has been for decades is violence is not the answer.

Whenever a story in reality is just too neat with all the edges tucked in I'm immediately suspicious. Reality is messy, very messy and the whole narrative around the shooter of Mr. Kirk is just too seamless, as if the narrative was crafted instead of grown organically.

Anyhoo - that's my opinion. I'd love to say I have all the facts but nope, just a feeling.

We will know more based on how the Trump regime acts in response. If he goes full Nazi and uses Kirk's death as a reason to seize all the levers of power we will know that if he wasn't involved personally someone within the higher ups of the MAGA crew was not only aware of but approved the ending of one C Kirk in order to achieve their political goals. It is the Nazi way.

  4. Charlie Kirk referred to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as a "huge mistake" and a "destructive force in American politics". He claimed the law was used as an "anti-white weapon" and that it established a "permanent bureaucracy" to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). He made these comments during a December 2023 political conference and other events.

He also blamed the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the law and was highly critical of the slain civil rights leader, calling him an “awful” person. Mr. Kirk said he desired a colorblind society but blamed the veneration of Dr. King for what he saw as America's fixation on race.

We can speak out against Kirk's killing, but we can also document his words and his contributions to where we are as a country because of his words.

  5. Shaw... here are some of the words of Utah Governor Spencer Cox from immediately after the shooting up until today...

"It [the killing of Charlie Kirk] is an attack on the American experiment. It is an attack on our ideals. This cuts to the very foundation of who we are, of who we have been and who we could be in better times…”

"We can return violence with fire and violence. We can return hate with hate. And that's the problem with political violence, is it metastasizes, because we can always point the finger at the other side, and at some point we have to find an off-ramp, or it's going to get much, much worse. These are choices that we can make,”

"To my young friends out there, you are inheriting a country where politics feels like rage. But through those words, we have a reminder that we can choose a different path…”

"I still believe that there is more good among us than evil, and I still believe that we can change the course of history. I'm hopeful because Americans can make it so…”

“What we’re seeing is, our adversaries want violence. We have bots from Russia, China, all over the world, that are trying to instill disinformation and encourage violence. I would encourage you to ignore those, to turn off those streams, and to spend a little more time with our families.”

How were they received? Well perhaps the esteemed Admiral Mustang from the HMS Mothership can give us a clue. Here's his thoughts on what are generally pretty measured words, calling to our better nature...

"Spencer Cox, the governor of Utah, should immediately shut his pie hole lest he destroy the state’s case against murder suspect Tyler Robinson. "

Mustang however might have a point, albeit in a different way.

If I were Robinson's lawyers, I would immediately ask for a change of venue due to a poisoning of the potential jury pool, by President Trump who has already appointed himself judge, jury and executioner through his multiple posts on social media.

I would say "Your honor, our greatest president, Donald J Trump, elected by great majorities of people across the land, has used his gigantic platform on Truth Social, Fox News, X and more to irretrievably taint the jury pool. Through his statements he has made it impossible to find a fair, unbiased jury to consider whether or not my client is guilty. Therefore Your Honor, since we cannot move the trial anywhere in the US where we can find people who have not been influenced by our great president's words, and as such there is no way we can get a fair trial, I move for dismissal."

  6. What America is currently experiencing is the very deep ignorance and extreme hate that has fueled and consumed fundamentalist Evangelical and Zionist Christianity in America today.

This evil has so embedded itself in the Christian psyche in America that its extreme ignorance, delusions, and hate WILL eventually result in expanding violence and untold deaths.

  7. David, That was really a profound statement. Maybe trump should have used your approach in NYC. You do give a lot of credit to fox news but seem to ignore the left stations like, msnbc, nbc, cnn, abc, cbs, NYT, Wash Post. You didn't find it disgusting that the representatives showed disdain for kirk even with him being murdered. They should be ashamed of that action no matter their personal opinions but that just shows their opinion of free speech is only one sided.

Kirk was a very good presenter and had facts to any debate he had. Can you name one thing he said that was not true. His murder and the lefts reaction will not bode well for the left because it shows that their definition of inclusive only applies to them. Unlike a lot of speakers and politicians he was available for any question. Try asking a questions to liz warren or nancy or many of the other political crooks left and right.

    1. Kirk said the Civil Rights Act was a bad thing for America
Kirk said MLK was an awful person
Kirk said women’s place is in the home, not in school or work
Kirk said Black women like Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson & Michelle Obama only attained what they did through affirmative action, and that Black women were essentially stupid

He said lots of other hateful things about people he opposes. He may have like to debate people with opposing views, but his ideas were appalling.

    2. Skud asks, "Can you name one thing he said that was not true."

Either, as we suspected all along, Skud doesn't read, or disregards, what we write, or he truly thinks Charlie Kirk would never steer you wrong. (Likely)

I accept Skud's concurrence with Charlie Kirk's message:

“Woke is the new word for Communism. And Trump needs to exploit that Kamala Harris is a communist.”

"The great replacement of white people is far more sinister than any redistricting project. That is at the core of the Democrat project, at the core. Thanks for letting us know where you stand, Skud, that you can't possibly be racist, amirite? You're just whatever Kirk was. It really adds up and tracks with your history on the subject.

  8. Kirk's death was an unfortunate and sad event. But to lionize him as the FOTUS indicates ought be done is far from sensible. Kurk's ideology and alignment with evil deserves absolutely no lionization IMO.

  9. skud believes with their full chest that Charlie Kirk brought facts to their debates. Sure Jan.

And Shaw!!!! (no disrespect intended, trying to get the correct vocal tone using only the written word) skud asked for ONE (not two or three but one) thing. You provided multitudes. Ha! You lose. Game set match!

And yes, that's exactly how Mr Kirk "debated" his opponents.

By the way, how is the left responding to Kirks death skud?

I ask because based on my extensive research to a person they are calling for thoughts for Mr. Kirks young family. I've heard expression after expression of empathy for his young wife. I've read declarations from too many to name stating that violence is not the answer. Yes, many condemnations have been expressed with WHAT Mr. Kirk said. No where did ANYONE say he didn't have the right to say what he said. No where did any politician express their opinion that the Right were animals or vermin that needed to be exterminated.

When those on the Right thought the shooter was Transgender or an Immigrant... well, I'll let your imagination fill in the blanks as their words were horrific. The death threats were and continue to be real.

For example, Nancy Mace condemned the shooter and called them all kinds of pejoratives until (UNTIL) she found out they were not only White and male but Mormon and a registered Republican too. Then it was all tots and pears and keep this young man in your thoughts. I have thoughts about that 'lady' but they will remain just that, thoughts.

The hypocrisy from MAGA/GOP/The Right was already noted but with the death of Kirk it's been amped up to elventy bamzillion. And our skud swallowed every drop only to spew it here. Just... ick.

I get it skud. Your voices of authority told you The Left were a violent problem which needed a solution and you dutifully came here to tell us how horrible we are. Message received. That said, just trying to help, but you seem to have a peck of motes in your eyes. Might want to take care of those seeing as you need your eyes to navigate the world.

  10. Add to the list of what Kirk said: Black people are too dumb to fly planes, and slavery was good for Black people. If skud wants to claim Kirk was good at bringing up debating points, he can tell us how those two points add to peaceful dialog.

  11. Kirk, was a white supremacist who supported racist ideologies. His views represented what is deeply wrong in America today as well as with Fundamenralist Evangelical Zionist Christianity.

Kirk was simply good at bringing up debating pints skud himself agrees with wholeheartedly.

  12. Skud asked... "You didn't find it disgusting that the representatives showed disdain for kirk even with him being murdered?"

Skud... could you provide statements showing their disgust? I mean, I've got to plead GOP like ignorance. I've looked across a lot of political feeds the last few days on X and from multiple news sources and have not seen a single elected representative expressing personal disgust for Mr Kirk.

His ideas, which Dave D and others have highlighted? Of course. But Kirk personally, as a man, husband and father? His right even to speak his mind? That, I have not seen. I'm not saying it does not exist, but just that I have not seen it.

What I have seen from our elected leaders on the progressive side of the aisle is profound sadness at the violence and many statements that "political violence is always wrong".

Aren't you disgusted that no elected national leader from the GOP, including the President, the VP, and member of the cabinet, the Speaker of the House, from your state no less, no the Senate majority leader have just flatly stated political violence is wrong and has no place in a democratic society?

  13. Shaw, as it relates to political violence, JVL at the Bulwark had a great quote...

"...it is precisely because political violence is a powerful undercurrent in America that our leaders have a "special duty to tamp it town" and do everything in their power to keep it in remission."

So, a couple of questions, especially for Skud and our more conservative members.

Yes, or no... do you agree with the statement from JVL?

    If not, tell us why.

If you do agree, tell us why GOP leaders have not been as vocal as Dem leaders as condemning political violence overall?

    1. Dave, I assume you do have television in Mexico so I am surprised you didn't see when it was proposed a moment of silence for kirk and someone yelled NO. "Before his death was announced, House Speaker Mike Johnson held a moment of silence in his honor, which then shifted into a shouting match between Democrats and Republicans"

The conservatives and liberals have different opinions and both are correct in their minds. You say he has a right to his opinion which is correct and in his mind he is always right. As seems to be the norm, leftists vilify anyone who doesn't agree with them. Call conservatives fascist, nazi's and other hate filled names. There has been a history of conservative speakers not allowed on campuses, In October 2024, conservative commentator Matt Walsh's event was met with strong protests and disruption. (republican's asked to leave restaurants, sanders ( A co-owner of the Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia, asked Ms Sanders and her family to leave as a protest against the Trump administration.) and representatives harassed out side a restaurant ( Mitch McConnell harassed at restaurant as fellow diners) (
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was harassed outside a restaurant in February 2023.)

If a conservative disagrees with a liberal the conservative will debate or ignore them. If a liberal disagrees with a conservative the liberal will shout and throw things. I realize in your mind conservatives are never right when most often we are just from a different side. Kirk was entitled to an opinion and most times that's what it was, his opinion. It is very difficult to debate a liberal because, like your post, they come from an emotional not factual approach with more vitriol than facts..

As to your last sling, yes speaker Johnson said House Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters the shooting "detestable" and said political violence "has to stop."

    1. And there's the inner Skud, still FAILING to denounce Kirk's racism. Finally, he admits it. He believes Kirk's racism is a valid opinion as he presents the far Right's usual sneering bitter resentment against the amorphous abstract "left", lurking somewhere under his bed or in his closet.
OK. I realize metaphors don't penetrate the closed minded sort.
Those "evil libs" dwell ONLY in his amygdala, the primitive fight/flight/freeze/fawn center of his brain.

"Most of the time the conservatives don't attack leftists even if they are wrong", says Skud who does it all the time.

  15. Skud surmised... "Dave, I assume you do have television in Mexico..."

No Skud, I do not. I work with indigenous people for whom television, as opposed to food, is an unaffordable luxury.

As to the rightness, or correctness of either side, I would simply say this... political violence has been part of America since our founding. But for the most part, our presidents and political leaders have realized one of their most important jobs in light of that violence, is to at least try and bring us together.

There is no political right side left side equivalence on this issue. While themselves contributing to the division in America, all of our modern presidents up until Trump, did work to tamp down the political violence and rob it of justification.

Remember GW Bush working to convince people that the great majority of Muslims around the world, and in America, wanted peace. And even President Biden, while calling out the fringes of our society, appealed to the moderates of both parties to leave our uncivil behavior and discourse behind.

As for Speaker Johnson... here's his entire official statement on Kirk's death...

"Utterly devastating. Charlie was a close friend and confidant. He will be sorely missed by so many. Every political leader must loudly and clearly decry this violence. Our prayers go out to his wife and young children. May he rest in peace.”

Speaker Johnson said "every leader must decry this [political?] violence".

Why did he not do so in his official statement? Yes, call for prayers. But where was Johnson calling "loudly and clearly" decrying this violence and saying it does not belong in American society?

Steve Scalise was shot. Rep Hortman and her husband were murdered in their homes. Paul Pelosi was beat with a hammer in his home. The home of Gov Shapiro was bombed. There were two attempts on the life of President Trump. 10 people were killed in a grocery store in Buffalo. Charlie Kirk was killed speaking at a college. Over 100 US officers were brutally beat in a riot at the US Capitol.

Where were the words of reconcilliation, peace, and rejection of "all political violence" after these events from President Trump?

    Where Skud?

    You tell us.

Those are the words a grieving country needs in times like these. All our previous presidents, full of faults themselves, understood this. Followers take their clues from their leader. What is the message followers of Trump are taking from his words demonizing me, my friends and my family, simply because we believe he is a bad president?

Why can't, or won't he, along with the rest of the GOP leadership simply say all political violence is wrong and bad for America.

I'll tell you why, because he and they, most likely don't believe it.

And if that is true, God help us.
