From what I've read, this weekend's "No Kings" marches across the country (and even the world), has Trump and his courtiers worried.
The millions and millions of Americans across this country will show MAGA and the world how unpopular and disliked Trump and his administration is.
Trump thinks his minority MAGA represents America. MAGA does not.
The anti-Trump and anti-authoritarians are the majority in America.
It is ABSOLUTELY a tRump and republicon shutdown.

The no kings protest is interesting. If we had a king or a dictator why is the king or dictator allowing the minority party to shut down the government. Granted things have changed in the last four an a half years and both parties are not working for the American people. The democrats passed a temporary spending bill in the house giving time to negotiate.Schumer decided if they don't get their way they will shut the government down. What he has said we are not interested in negotiating and we will make everyone suffer if we don't get what we wanted.

Your information is wrong. The Democrats want the Trumpublicans to NOT increase healthcare costs. They’re working for the people. The Trumpublicans are keeping the government shut down so the Epstein files stay hidden. The Trumpublicans run the entire government, and they have the power to open up the government. What we all need to understand, I know that's hard for someone with so much hate, the shutdown affecting families is both sides fault. They are paid 175k plus all the money the can steal for to do a job they appear to not uderstand. Its is about time as Grey says "we the people" should demand better of our hired help.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure there are more facts of the matter but these are the ones that are sticking to the white board of my mind tonight:
- Trump is on record for telling the GOP to F'ck the Democrats, he doesn't need them. Guess that's the Democratic Party's fault too.
- The GOP control the Executive, Judiciary, and Legislative branches of the government but it's the Democratic Party's fault for the shutdown.
- The GOP is on record for reversing monies already approved by Congress using the traditional bipartisan effort because they wanted to punish their political opponents. The fact a majority of the rescinded funds hurt Red States has not surfaced in any of the MAGA press.
- SNAP runs out of funds in two weeks - guess MAGA will blame the Democrats for this too???
And skud thinks all this pain and suffering is the fault of the Democratic Party.
WeThePeople do deserve better. Better citizens, better politicians, and most important better business partners who aren't doing their dead level best to destroy the only home of humanity.
Just read that the RSVP's for the No Kings Day protests topped 10 million humans. This is epic.
Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to fire hundreds of thousands of government employees, defund hundreds of hospitals and health care centers across the country, destroy the soybean market for domestic production, kidnap grandma's and grandpa's who have been here for decades doing the work to immigrate legally, call their political opponents vermin and other words of disparagement, and finally, cause the price of groceries to skyrocket in price.
I know MAGA has their plan but did they field test any of it? Based on the results I'm witnessing here/now I'm going with nah...
NO KING'S is as large as it was and will be again for a reason. It's because 60% of America disapproved of tRump's agenda and his lack of compassion and basic decency for those most in need. As well as his fascist authoritarian methodology.

I was always taught that negotiations were a means for compromise and it seems chuckie is not interested in negotiations. From what has been reported there was a CR that changed nothing except provided money to keep the government functioning.

This is just political posturing at the expense of the public who pays the bills.

In Kentucky, a 60-year-old couple making $85,000 per year could face an increase of $23,700 in annual premiums.
In Nevada, a couple making $85,000 is facing an additional $18,100 in annual premiums.
In Minnesota, the cost is projected to increase by over $15,000 for that couple making $85,000 and in Maryland, $13,700.
I don’t know about anyone else here, but my budget could not absorb that kind of increase.
But Skud and most of the GOP doesn’t care. Because they don’t believe government should be involved in the health are business because it reads of “socialism”.
Yet we never hear the GOP or the MAGAverse complaining about you know, the current admin actually taking ownership positions in companies. Or farm subsidies, or support for hoteliers when their employee bases is being deported.

Since the enhanced subsidies are not set to expire until the end of the year why would schumer object to negotiations and open the government in the meantime. It is all about blaming the other guy.

Biden put the enhanced subsidies in effect during covid and he put in that they had a sunset.
