Funny, isn't it? Or is it?

Timothy McVeigh planned and committed one of America's most horrific domestic terrorist attacks on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, killing 160 men, women, and children.

Timothy McVeigh belonged to a extremist Christian sect.  His actions and affiliations were linked to the extremist Christian Identity movement, which is a racist and anti-Semitic belief system. His connections included the importance of the date of the Oklahoma City bombing (April 19) to the movement, his association with the Christian Identity compound Elohim City, and his admiration for The Turner Diaries, a book revered by Christian Identity adherents.

This was posted and admired over at the Mother Ship today:

No American that I know blames all Christians for the Oklahoma City bombing. Do you know of any individual or group of Americans that hold Christians responsible for that terrible, terrible day?

Yet the woman who runs the Mother Ship proudly posted this, and probably thought it was funny because it implicated the newly elected mayor of New York City, Zorhan Mamdani, as a Muslim terrorist who killed 3,000 Americans on 9/11.

Mr. Mamdani was 10 years old on 9/11.

The people who publish trash like the above meme are what drags America into the gutter.

  1. Fortunately, the Mothership consists of a circle of a few hate loving Christians vying for some attention from somewhere.

  2. Roman Empire christianity happens to be the religion responsible for more suffering and death than any other dogmatic religion since created 325 CE by Roman Emperor Constantine and the bishops he oversaw during the Council of Niacea.

It would be a blessing if the Roman doctored version of christianity disappeared from existence entirely.

  4. There is no situation so bad it cannot be made worse by religion. The person making that horrible comment is someone we're supposed to look to for moral guidance?

  6. The ADL seems to want preemptive regime change in the NYC Mayoral office. They're offering a convenient tool for Republicans to undermine his office with unverified anecdotes of antisemitism.

    https://www.adl.org/resources/press-release/adl-launches-initiative-track-and-monitor-mamdani-administration-policies

ADL is establishing a dedicated New York City citywide antisemitism tipline, extending the organization’s decades-long incident response work to meet this moment. The tipline will serve as a hyper-focused resource for New Yorkers to report antisemitic incidents in the city, including on the streets, in schools, in their workplace.

"ADL creates new 'Mamdani Monitor' project to track his administration policies"

The leader of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an organization that fights antisemitism, is explaining his group's decision to set up a special project to monitor Zohran Mamdani, the mayor-elect of New York City.

Mamdani is the first Muslim and person of South Asian descent elected to lead the nation's largest city, which includes a Jewish population of well over 1 million people. He is also a critic of Israel and its war in Gaza. After his victory, the ADL took an unprecedented step: announcing an "initiative to track and monitor Mamdani administration policies and appointments."

The project includes tracking actions by Mamdani's administration "that impact Jewish community safety and security." The ADL's announcement also said it was setting up a citywide tip line for people to report antisemitic incidents in New York.

Jonathan Greenblatt, the ADL's CEO and national director, discussed the move on NPR's Morning Edition. Greenblatt was at the center of controversy in 2016, when the ADL questioned the rhetoric of President Trump's first presidential campaign, and more recently during the Israel-Hamas war, when it accused pro-Palestinian protesters of using antisemitic messaging.

After the ADL announced its scrutiny of Mamdani, the mayor-elect told reporters, "I take the issue of antisemitism incredibly seriously."

Mamdani continued: "I think anyone is free to catalog the actions of our administration. I have some doubts about Jonathan's ability to do so honestly, given that he previously said I had not visited any synagogues, only to have to correct himself."

ADL's CEO and national director Jonathan Greenblatt is mining anti-Muslim bigotry and Republican resentments to blame Mamdani for antisemitism. What he never mentions is the rise of antisemitism is highly correlated to Netanyahu’s mass slaughter of Gazans. He also ignores the actions Trump has taken against legal immigrants for voicing their condemnation of the Israeli leadership.
