For some unknown reason, with no explantion from the president, the post depicting him as Jesus has been taken down. Additionally, Trump is reported to have said he's being portrayed as a doctor.

ReplyDeleteNo one can argue that Joe Biden was in tip top shape in the final years of his presidency. The same was true for FDR. But both of those men had competent people around them who ensured the US would not go off a cliff and would not be mocked around the world.
ReplyDeleteYou can argue that some decisions did not get carried out well in each case, for example the Afghanistan withdrawal and the Malta conference, but the core mission of both those decisions was sound. Right now Trump cannot even explain what the core mission is in any of his decisions, Certainly not the Iran debacle.
It's to the point that anyone arguing for the continued presidency of Trump literally is rooting against America, albeit indirectly, or unknowingly.
POTUS Trump is embarrassing the US on the world stage and tarnishing our respect, something his supporters frequently said was important to them when Dems were in office.
POTUS Trump has ruined our relationships with countries within the NATO alliance, all long term strategic partners of the US. At the same time he has equivocated and not been resolute in dealings with the Chinese, North Korea and Russia.
Our economy is struggling. If you have a 401k, you're nervous as can be and if you have children, I bet they are struggling to either get a good job or buy a house.
POTUS has no Reagan style "kitchen cabinet". He has no VP he will listen to if he says "Boss, this is a bad idea." There is no James Baker guiding the hand of state. And there is no real pushback from anyone in his own party when he goes off the rails. Which is happening with increasing frequency these days.
His recent response to the Pope when he responded with a first grade "He said mean things about me" taunt shows it. His lies about why he posted the latest image, that it's him being a doctor, are not to be believed. Because they are the ass covering lies of a third grader trying to avoid blame from his teacher.
Did Biden, FDR and other presidents make mistakes? Sure they did. Were there failures in their admins? Yes, of course. But at this point, the emperor has no clothes. Yet his supporters keep seeing him through their rose colored MAGA glasses and propping him up.
It's time... though I can't believe I'm saying it.

Viktor Orbán steered Hungary toward an "illiberal democracy" by systematically consolidating power, weakening institutional checks, controlling media, and targeting minority rights since 2010. Key actions included packing the Constitutional Court, curbing judicial independence, restructuring electoral laws to favor his Fidesz party, and creating a government-aligned media network. He also attacked minorities, including LGBTQ communities.

Just recently he said the Pope should stick to speaking out on only moral subjects, not politics. Meanwhile, his boss, Trump, speaks out on nonpolitical subjects, and mocked the Christians' savior by pretending, through an internet meme, that he is Christ-like in his duties as POTUS.
JD Vance is a protege' of Peter Thiel. Vance went from being an author of a best selling book, to a less than 2 years serving US Senator to VP of the US.

I get it Shaw, but at this point, anything is better than Trump. And if that anything, with a Congress and probably a Senate, which gets to vote on the next VP is dominated by the Dems, I'll take a Harvard educated Vance, chastened by the Dems, over a self aggrandizing mind addled Trump any day.
