I wonder if the Trump Admin will go to the SCOTUS about this? I wonder what day the Mothership will complain about the left never letting Trump do what he wants to make America great. I wonder when they will say this judge, an obvious leftest America hater was just SO NASTY!!!
I wonder if the mothership will understand that Trump broke the law by putting his name on a congressionally designated memorial to President John F. Kennedy? That would be like Trump putting his name on the Lincoln memorial and renaming it the Trump Lincoln memorial! Trump broke the law the courts told him he must obey the law. That’s all this is; it’s simple. Why should anyone have a problem with that?
The Funding Gap: With Trump walking away from his $257 million overhaul plan, there is currently no approved roadmap or unified funding source to replace the roof, secure structurally troubled areas, or fix the aging facility
Why should anyone believe what Trump and his administration said about the JFK performing art center? Why should we believe it needs all the repairs and that it was falling apart? Trump is a liar and a cheat and he’s corrupt. Why should we believe anything that he says?
Actually -FJ, who cares about funding at this point? The rehab and repair of the Kennedy Center, if it is indeed needed, is not germane, nor the issue.
Trump can still do his repairs. If he really cares about the institution, he will. If he doesn't, we will see that his interest was not on the well being of the arts in the US, but rather seeing his name on a building.
What's germane here is the law. And if the law says A and you choose to do B, it is illegal. Plain and simple. SCOTUS Justice Breyer said...
“One, you follow the law. Two, if you don't like the law, you gather with other people, and you get it changed through a democratic process.”
SCOTUS Justice Scalia said...
"It may well be stupid, but if it's stupid, pass a law! Don't think the originalist interpretation constrains you."
And SCOTUS Justice Gorsuch said...
"If you don't like the law, you go across the street. You change it. It's not my job to do their job... To me, it's what keeps us free."
Why is POTUS Trump so enamored with trying to work around the law, the law that Gorsuch says, "keeps us free".
You'd be a lot more fun here if you stuck to the issues at hand.
Well -FJ, first, I'm not sure POTUS Trump was ponying up his personal money. And second, the US is not like the rest of the world. Or universe for that matter.
I'd also add, most people get their name on a building after they invest their money or get the project done.
Of course he does. For the Imperial Ruler believes himself to be the law

In most universes (NOT LocoDem) $257 million gets you your name on the building.
