  1. Concur. ICE is the topic du jour again and the conversation has changed. Where before folks were "accepting" because the story was ICE was going after criminals and who doesn't want criminals off the streets?

But then ICE started killing folks all over the place, enough to make those who were supporting them to sit up and take notice. Yes, they wanted criminals deported but... not like this.

What did folks think was going to happen? ICE isn't out of control, in fact they are very carefully following orders as handed down from the highest authority. Fascists always gotta fascist.

    1. No ICE agents have been killed. However, American citizens and LEGAL immigrants HAVE BEEN killed by ICE. I've yet to read anything about that fact from any Trump supporter. Silence is complicity.

Trump and his regime are concocting a "Democrats are Commies" campaign for the mid-term elections, and Trump's ghouls in ICE are killing American citizens and legal immigrants, just as a totalitarian regime would. Sounds more "Commie" to me than anything the Dems are doing.

That seems like a natural reaction to a Trump agency that's killing Americans and legal immigrants on American streets. If this were happening in any other democracy in the world, people would be on the side of the protestors, not the people doing the killing.

We know which side you're on, -FJ, don't we.

  5. They have a long way to go to expel the 10 million who crossed without an invitation from the previous president. Maybe if he would have enforced keeping the border secure this wouldn't be such a massive job. Of course he took great steps to secure the border by appointing someone to take charge of the border, some called her a czar. The problem is she can talk for hours and confuse any person and any issue but not fluent in Spanish so was ineffective.

  6. -FJ... video evidence shows an ICE department untrained, ill equipped for their jobs and too quick on the trigger.

Here's how Harris County, [Houston]Texas DA Sean Teare put it... the actions of federal immigration agents “in no way resemble” the tactics of “every law enforcement agency” he’s worked in, and that “either these agents are completely untrained, or intentionally putting themselves in situations where they can justify firing into cars.”

I get FAFO, but we have law enforcement ppl all across the US who have never used their guns and in just a few months, we have multiple deaths at the hands of ICE.

And not a single real injury to an ICE officer, no after action reviews, nothing.

Ask around if you personally know any good cops. They are disgusted being tarred and feathered by the amateur hour known as the Trump ICE Department. They'll tell you these guys have no idea what they are doing.

Detainees at ICE facility in Texas were beaten and abused, rights groups say
    By Kanishka Singh
    July 15, 2026

WASHINGTON, July 15 (Reuters) - Detainees at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Texas told two rights groups they were ‌beaten by guards, denied medical care and prevented from contacting family and lawyers, according to a report issued on Wednesday.

The report, issued by Human Rights Watch and the American Civil Liberties Union, spans dozens of pages and is based on 80 interviews HRW conducted with detainees that focused on conditions at Camp East Montana, which is located at the U.S. Army's Fort Bliss in El Paso.

"People detained at Camp East Montana reported routine beatings and other excessive force by guards, chronic malnutrition, and unsanitary and degrading living conditions," the report said, citing interviews. "Together, these abuses violate fundamental protections under U.S. and international human rights law."

  11. This is why we can't have nice things... Both -FJ and Skud, regularly post, and we've all documented it, untrue statements as facts.

Did Pres Biden mistakenly allow way too many, by some accounts up to 2 million with more entering through legal means, like asylum claims? Yes and anyone who says no is in the same territory as Skud and -FJ.

But facts matter. At least they should, and both of those people have shown as disdain for facts, research and truth.

Opinions are fine. We all have them and we can all share them. But when we present them as fact, that's a problem.

    At least, IMHO.

Now I understand why someone like -FJ might feel as he does about how the police or ICE treat people here illegally. Especially when he's have been conditioned to view some people as "invaders".

But what about US citizens exercising their Constitutional rights to peacefully assemble, or to protest? Does our federal government now have the right to shoot us too?

It seems that people like -FJ and Skud are arguing for the right of Americans to do whatever we need to do to stop the "invasion" or expel people who are here without our permission.

I wonder if they felt the Native Americans had that right also, or if it really does come down to "might makes right"?

So you change the subject and deflect from the reality of the inhuman and wholly unAmerican tactics being used by Trump’s ICE agents.

IMO, they’re nothing more than armed and masked hooligans and killers, answerable to no one, and a plague on our American soil.

A majority of Americans reject what Trump and ICE are doing in our name.

AI Overview Polling shows that a majority of Americans reject the use of lethal force and aggressive tactics by federal immigration agents. Following fatal ICE shootings, nationwide surveys found that 61% of Americans believe ICE tactics have "gone too far" and a majority oppose the agency's use of physical force in these incidents.”

These two posts are about ICE killing a young father who was in this country LEGALLY. ICE admitted they detained the wrong person. 1. “Significantly more Americans are killed by gun violence than by undocumented immigrants. Gun violence accounts for tens of thousands of deaths in the U.S. annually, whereas comprehensive state studies show undocumented immigrants have homicide conviction rates considerably lower than native-born U.S. citizens.

For context, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention typically reports tens of thousands of firearm-related deaths each year. Conversely, multi-year analyses—such as the peer-reviewed research on crime rates in Texas published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences—consistently find that undocumented immigrants have lower violent crime and homicide arrest rates than native-born citizens.”

Now, that doesn’t mean we should accept homicides by undocumented people. What I mean is that Americans ACCEPT firearm deaths in schools, churches, temples, theaters, etc., and then believe homicides by the undocumented are out of control. Why is that, Skud?

What have we done to protect the thousands and thousands of Americans from firearm deaths? Or are only the homicides by undocumented people appalling to Americans?
