Affordability is not a new word. It is not a made up word. No one made it up to make Trump look bad.
What he said is either wrong, because he believes his statement to be true, or a lie, because he knows better.
What should we make of these statements from Candidate Trump?
"Starting on Day 1, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods."
"When I win, I will immediately bring prices down... a vote for Trump means your groceries will be cheaper."
"We are going to drill, baby, drill... And we will get your energy costs down by 50% within your first 12 months."
"On Day One, I will sign an executive order to blast through every bureaucratic hurdle to approve domestic drilling... We will flood the system with American oil and gas, and prices will tumble almost instantly."
Les... that federal deficit is going to require a recession [defined as a drop in US economic spending for two or more consecutive quarters] to get started. Simply cutting our spending, to get it under control, will trigger that recession.
Then I'd assume the market would watch and see if we mean it. If we do, perhaps after 2-3 years we'd start to see economic pick back up. Provided we stick to a plan that one, cuts spending and two, raises new revenue.

As to trumps stance on inflation. Prices went up at a staggering rate during the previous administration due to incompetence and the president not being engaged on what was going on. The current administration had an opportunity to bring down inflation, a little, then he decided he would make his mark in history and started a war, implemented tariffs with no rational and insulted anyone who didn't say he was great.
We still don't have a good alternative for president but hopefully in the next two years a leader will come forward.

ReplyDelete1. Who pardoned a psycho gain-of function researcher who created a virus that killed millions of people around the world? There is no proof or existence of a "gain-of-function" researcher who "created" a virus. Even the politicians, like Paul, and intelligence agencies investigating a potential lab leak agree that Fauci didn't create the virus.
2. Who started a war in Ukraine and then prevented the Ukrainians from signing a peace deal resulting in hundreds of thousands of even more deaths? Putin started the war in Ukraine when Russia attacked. Zelensky and Ukrainian leaders have stated have repeatedly stated that they made their own sovereign decisions not to sign deals that required surrendering vast amounts of Ukrainian territory.
3. Who weaponized the DoJ and tried to frame a US president for a non-existant [sic] election collusion operation in 2016 and then failed 2x to impeach him? Short Answer? No one. Longer answer? Mueller Report documented extensive Russian interference and numerous contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, though it did not find a criminal conspiracy to collude.
As to the impeachments... The Democrats in the House impeached Trump. And there were members of his own party who voted for conviction in the Senate both times. There were others who said Trump clearly did what the Dems charged, but that removal from office was a bridge too far for them.
Additionally, many House and Senate members took to the floor in their chambers and pronounced the POTUS guilty, responsible and morally culpable for the insurrection of Jan 6.

Well -FJ, non-citizens are legally barred from federal welfare and cannot legally vote in federal elections. If you mean the major fraud case in the Midwest, that was a pandemic food program, not Medicaid, and it was for $300 million, not billions. The mastermind was a native-born American, and the others involved were naturalized U.S. citizens—meaning they are legal Americans with the constitutional right to vote. As for non-citizens voting, actual state reviews, audits and even research from the Heritage Foundation show it is incredibly rare, and the few people who try it are caught and prosecuted.
2. Were the residents of Springfield OH who were granted asylum after a American led Presidential assassination and coup in Haiti 2021eating cats before they got to the US? Well -FJ, maybe some were. Just like in the states, some people in highly rural areas eat/ate muskrat or opossums to survive. But as it relates to the US, VP Vance has admitted he made the story up about Haitians eating cats in Springfield so as to promote a specific narrative. BTW... the local Republican mayor and governor checked all this out fully and found zero truth to it.

No one is asking for your sympathy, because we don't care. But if you want to come here and lie, you might get some facts you don't like, or more likely, you refuse to acknowledge.
