This is the POTUS talking about an American citizen whose faith is Muslim, who has committed no crime, and who has worked hard and earned everything admirable that he's accomplished.
(It is Trump whom we should worry about, since it is HE who is the actual convicted criminal/felon!)
This sort of rhetoric coming from America's leader sickens me to my core. Our children and grandchildren are watching and listening to him! This is the man the current Republican Party believes best represents America?
Yesterday I featured a post by a Conservative (who comments on the MAGA blog, Geeez). That post exposes the bigotry against Jewish people that festers in many parts of the MAGAsphere.
This meme that shows Trump insulting and slandering an American citizen running for the US Senate because of his name and religion shows us how widespread that racist rot is in the Conservative/MAGA universe.
A fish stinks from the head.
PS. Before one of my commenters arrives and dismisses this smear campaign against an American citizen's religion as "kayfabe," may I remind him that Trump has a history of being a depraved human being that reaches back into his teens. He wasn't "kayfabeing" back then. It was and is what he is.

It simply matters not to the -FJ's, the Joe Conservatives, the geeeZ's, the Sam Huntington's, the Malcontent's, etc. of the bigoted MAGAverse. They follow their rotting POS trump regardless the filth and lies he daily spews
ReplyDeletePeople who share trump's filth are, as Hilary Clinton identified in 2016, deplorables. As well as despicable, disgusting, revolting, and definitely anti Christian.
It is truly sickening to witness the deep rot that apparently exists in the MAGAverse of trumplandia.
Does anyone believe those who accept the appalling character flaws Trump displays on a daily basis would accept those same horrendous flaws in a Black or woman or ANY minority POTUS? Imagine if Kamala Harris had partied for decades with America's most notorious child sex traffickers and rapists! Imagine if she had been adjudicated a sexual assaulter/rapist and had to pay a judgement in millions of dollars for defaming her victim! Imagine if she had cheated on 3 husbands and had affairs with other men while married to those 3 husbands! Imagine is she had called the men and women who served their country and died or were wounded in that service -- imagine if she had called them "losers and suckers!"
DeleteWe ALL know that the Conservatives and Radical Evangelicals would have been marching in the streets with pitchforks and torches against her and all those who support her.
What Trump IS is a strong advocate for a particular cultural way of life unpopular with globalist multi-cultural neoliberals like those who post here.
ReplyDeleteWhat Trump is is a man with no morals. He supported a mother who called her daughter, a liar with no evidence to back it up. That daughter was raped by her stepfather, that mother‘s second husband, and she stood by the man who raped and abused her daughter and son and never saw her daughter and son after for almost 50 years. Trump supported that! Anything positive you say about him doesn’t matter and it’s not true because he is a very bad damaged human being. He’s not a strong advocate for anything except what benefits him and his family. He’s proved that time and time again, but you’re caught up in some pop culture psychology to excuse it. It doesn’t. He’s a terrible rotten, no good, very bad human being. Period!
DeleteHe has morals... they're just Master morals, and not your 'woke' Slave morals.
DeleteYou're misreading Nietzsche. A true 'Master' creates their own values from a place of strength and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Trump's entire political identity is built on grievance, victimhood, and complaining about how unfairly he is treated. That constant obsession with his enemies and his deep need for crowd validation is actually the definition of ressentiment—which is the core of Slave morality.
DeleteTrump communicates in the language slaves understand. And no, he doesn't care what you think of his policies. When was the last time he enacted one you liked?
DeleteAnd Trump "deals" with his enemies in the only language that THEY understand. Leverage.
Did -FJ just try something? I ask because Shaw calls out Trump's political identity as built on grievance and all the other emotional regulation issues of toddlers and -FJ just switched politics and political identity to policies.
DeleteDon't know how folks reason in their respective houses but in mine those are two entirely separate topics.
Well, when you are standing on a sandbar with a rip tide pulling away the sand as you watch I guess skipping around in an online debate seems perfectly legit.
LOL Leverage. I guess that's the MAGA name for blackmail, extortion, and outright theft. OK then.
Trump communicates in the language of racism, idiocy, narcissism and duplicity. No wonder the Klan, Proud Boys, Patriot Front, semi-literate racists, the lowest of IQ dupes love him.
DeleteThe Right has forgotten what sociopathy is. Easy as falling off a log. They've never had empathy or concern for anyone but themselves. They're HAPPY to see everyone who disagrees with them suffer. And they're HAPPY to inflict that suffering.
The Left has forgotten what democracy is... and has substituted B.A.M.N. for the governing process. They've transformed "politics" into woke kayfabe performance art/ theatre.
ReplyDeleteThat’s an interesting opinion. However it’s not true. But you’re certainly entitled to it! And we can all shake our heads and go back to what we were doing.
DeleteIt's not? The why all the Trump squawking Philomela?
DeleteHesiod, "Works and Days"
FABLE OF HAWK AND NIGHTINGALE
[202] And now I will tell a fable for princes who themselves understand. Thus said the hawk to the nightingale with speckled neck, while he carried her high up among the clouds, gripped fast in his talons, and she, pierced by his crooked talons, cried pitifully. To her he spoke disdainfully: `Miserable thing, why do you cry out? One far stronger than you now holds you fast, and you must go wherever I take you, songstress as you are. And if I please I will make my meal of you, or let you go. He is a fool who tries to withstand the stronger, for he does not get the mastery and suffers pain besides his shame.' So said the swiftly flying hawk, the long-winged bird.
The real kayfabe is MAGA. MAGA, like kayfabe is straight up BS.
DeleteMy criticisms against Trump are not futile, weak, and change nothing.
DeleteTrump is a deeply flawed and erratic ruler who dominates regardless of the rules. You see Trump as "Master Morality"-- a forceful ruler and now me as an aggrieved victim?
I’m not a victim of Trump, and I’m not aggrieved. I am a citizen making a rational evaluation of a public official. Disliking someone because they are dishonest, erratic, and cruel isn't a sign of being 'hurt'—it’s a sign that I have standards for human behavior and leadership.
You and MAGA confuse dominance with strength. A genuinely strong human being has self-control, takes responsibility for their actions, and doesn't need to constantly insult people on social media to feel big. Trump’s behavior—the constant lying, the blame-shifting, the desperate need for praise—isn't 'Master' behavior. It’s the behavior of a deeply insecure man who can't handle criticism.
Trump is the definition of vulgar and low-brow.
If you want to talk about high standards, look at how Trump conducts himself. He is vulgar, narcissistic, and obsessed with low-level grievances. (He's called Norway a "shithole country" because it didn't give him the Nobel Peace Prize, and the government of Norway has no control over the awarding of those prizes.) Trump is deeply stupid as well. He is a reality TV character. Rejecting him isn't about 'woke morals'; it’s about having the taste and intelligence to see through a cheap conman.
One more thing. I don't oppose Trump because I'm bleeding-heart or fragile. I oppose him because a functional society requires basic guardrails like the rule of law, keeping your word, and respecting the peaceful transfer of power. Supporting someone who tears those down isn't 'edgy' or 'alphamale'—it’s just reckless and short-sighted.
DeleteTrump is vulgar and low-brow because polite and accommodating hasn't worked with Democrats since '68 (look how batsh*t Hillary got since Nixon). B.A.M.N. wasn't a Republican slogan.
DeleteOh PUL-eeeze! This is your conspiracist opinion. Period, which you're entitled to, and I even publish here. It is based on your skewed perception mixed in with stuff you've read and digested over a lifetime.
DeleteHillary Clinton is MAGA's favorite bug-a-boo. I'm not going to change your perception of her because it's a waste of my time. But your claim that it's the Democrat's fault for Trump's chaotic, bizarre, and immoral behavior reminds me of those husbands who beat their wives and then blame their wives for their barbaric behavior.
Trump is vulgar and low-brow because he's a stupid man with a serious personality disorder, which is getting worse before our eyes. It is the MAGA cultists and Congressional enablers (and Trump's close family members) who are responsible for putting Trump in the office of the presidency.
Your BAMN reference (whatever the hell that is) and shifting responsibility for the disaster that is Trumop is nothing more than your way of dealing with your inability to see what is in front of your nose.
Ah, the fresh smell of racism in the comment section. Oh, it's hidden in the "B.A.M.N. for the governing process" statement above.
DeleteBy Any Means Necessary - attributed to Malcolm X (loosely) when faced with the bureaucracy of our current government and dealing with an issue that needs attention now not next election cycle. Of course our troll hates it. They benefit from the current system so why change it? The fact the current system only helps those who don't really need the help is kind of the point.
Slave. Master. Nietzsche. It's like philosophy 101 when we were debating the concept of Might makes Right. The point of the lecture was humans are depraved beings. Everytime someone comes up with something horrific there is another one sitting next to them thinking, hmmm... needs something extra. This is the lesson I gained when I dove into the abyss. I know, you are supposed to only look but I leaned in, and being a clutz, well, there you go.
The benefit of learning all that, aside from some disturbing realizations about my own soul, is that the reason for a government is to ensure our species continues. Used to be small potatoes but there are too many of us now.
But this drifts away from the point of the post which is the grievances of one Donald Jessica Trump and his rapidly decaying carcass. But never fear fellow travelers! He has the best that modern medicine can provide which is why he's still up and waddling and not melting in the corner somewhere.
So - to do list.
1. Remain hopeful. There are actions being taken by so many of our fellow citizens who see exactly what y'all are seeing and commenting on. They are keeping their heads down because yeah, fascists in power.
2. Vote. I'd say who to vote for but that's not the message here/now. Every rally organized by the young folks I follow has been nonpartisan. Vote. That's the message.
3. When it's time for us to act (aside from the aforementioned voting) you will know. How? I follow Jamie Raskin and Robert Garcia. They have the T and not a word more from me. No spoilers here but hee hee. I'm doing the wigglebutt happy dance as taught to me by my service doggos. And hoping beyond hope our election results are too big to rig and that the blue wave washes over DC in a celebration of cleaning up what has been sullied. All those moving parts have the potential of creating something healing but only if the timing is correct. /more happy dance
-FJ... you're working overtime. Nobody outside of a group of about 6 ppl kows what B.A.M.N. even is. Even I had to look it up. Tambien kayfabe. Maybe you can coin a post with The Cathedral, Lawfare, B.A.M.N, Kayfabe and a few more political pissed off insider terms.
DeleteAmazon offers a red baseball cap with the letters SNAFU on the front.
ReplyDeleteWe Army vets know what that means, and from sales volume, many
others know as well.
Cool! Wish I had known before now. I'd be sporting one through election day.
DeleteThis... "Trump is vulgar and low-brow because polite and accommodating hasn't worked with Democrats since '68 (look how batsh*t Hillary got since Nixon). B.A.M.N. wasn't a Republican slogan."... is the point, the distilled personal opinion, we've all asked -FJ/Joe C/Thersites [I assume they are all one person, correct me if I'm wrong] to share with us.
ReplyDeleteWithout getting to far in the weeds, let me break it down or, like Luther, the Obama translator, translate it. MAGA supporting conservatives believe1968 broke the US political system. Many believe, maybe Vance, Nixon was unfairly railroaded by the political elite and made to resign. Historically, the eastern political "elite" were never big fans of Nixon. But neither were they of Goldwater and he's the guy, along with TN Senator Howard Baker who ultimately gave Nixon the nudge.
Hillary Clinton was a known fabulist/liar/person who struggles with facts and the truth, before her run in 2016. She had a history. So conservatives, and not a few Dems, were predisposed to worry about her impending presidency and see much of what she said during the campaign as a bunch of over the top lies.
Once you add in the smugness of statements like "It depends on what the meaning of is... is" and "there is no controlling legal authority" and how they were used to evade responsibility for immoral actions and potentially crimes, you can see the issue.
MAGA will argue, indeed, that's what -FJ's quote is saying, that Trump is simply playing the same game Dems have played for years, albeit in a less polite, genteel way.
To many MAGA supporters, Dems often say all the right stuff in public while knifing you in the back in private. Trump is just pulling back the curtain on the immorality of everyone in politics.
On a personal level, I get all of this. I've said to any of my conservative MAGA friends who will really listen, that I too believe "elections have consequences".
Because they do.
America voted for Trump. That's the system. He won, he SHOULD get to govern. America, or the people who voted anyways, voted for what he said he'd do, and HIS style of government, as long as it does not violate the Constitution.
But here's where I differ.
Many of my MAGA friends consider themselves devout Christians. As one who has felt outside of the political system for years because of my faith, and who has refused to vote for candidates because of my faith, I simply do not understand how essentially, my tribe, reconciles faith and Trump.
I don't know a single devout believer who wants their kids or grandkids to grow up and be like Trump. None. To me, that's a tell.
And not a good one.
You are talking about the same hillary who called all of the women who her husband raped “narcissistic loony toon" (CNN) “failed cabaret singer who doesn't even have much of a résumé to fall back on”.(reddit) or threatened Broaddrick to keep silent. Maybe it was slept through an attack on an embassy. Yep, she is a real winner and it is no wonder people didn't like her.
ReplyDeleteBB, I may order one because it can be delivered November 3rd when the dems take over and have no plan other than raise taxes and increase give-a-ways.
It's time to raise taxes, institute a wealth tax on billionaires and trillionaire, increase the minimum wage to a $25.00 living wage, substantially reduce the war making budget, junk Citizens United, reinstitute safety nets obliterated by DOGE, and so much more!
ReplyDeleteWhen Democrats take back the house, and maybe flip the senate too good things WILL start to happen. Unless moron man trump veto's everything. If he does, in a sense it may be a blessing. As it could ice the Republicans in minority status for a generation or more.
