RUSH LIMBAUGH: Attention seeking anti-woman slime

We understand why Limbaugh goes off on his tantrums and insults and slurs people, especially women, in the news:

IT ATTRACTS ATTENTION.

And like any juvenile, he knows that the louder and the more dispicable language he uses, the more attention he attracts.

The mouthpiece of the GOP has certainly had a banner week of attention.

The fetid fumes emanating from the Hindenburg of Gasbags have spread over the land, but will, without a doubt, eventually come back to envelope him in his own foul putrescence.

Good luck with that Rush!  And enjoy your newly found attention as your wallow in the effluence flushed from your diminishing cesspool of malodorous influence .

Think Progress:

Yesterday, as ThinkProgress noted, conservative shock jock and strident women-basher Rush Limbaugh called Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown student who House Republicans wouldn’t let testify at a contraception hearing last week, a “slut” and a prostitute. “She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception,” Limbaugh said. But on his radio show today, Limbaugh showed no remorse and instead reveled in the attention. Referring to Fluke, Limbaugh demanded that women post sex tapes online if they use insurance-covered birth control:

LIMBAUGH: So Miss Fluke, and the rest of you Feminazis, here’s the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex. We want something for it. We want you post the videos online so we can all watch.

Ed Kilgore of Washington Monthly:

Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Jay Bookman summed up the current state of the controversy:
If Limbaugh hasn’t gone too far this time, then “too far” no longer exists. Those Republican politicians who have genuflected to Limbaugh in the past — do any of them have daughters? Wives? Sisters? Mothers?
Will any of them dare to raise their voice in protest or disgust? Because again, if this is not going too far, what is?

RUSH AND THE GOP CONTINUE THEIR WAR ON WOMEN.

Limbaugh's not going to sit still while Gingrich challenges him for the title of "most bloated and disgusting misogynist". He's more free to talk like this since he's not running for office.

Of course this also appeals to the sniggering prurience of the prudish mind, so characteristic of the right-wing base.

He's safe from pay-back in kind, at least. I doubt anyone would want to see videos of whatever he gets up to down in Puerto Plata.

"After being bombarded on Twitter, mattress store Sleep Train said that it would no longer advertise during Limbaugh's top-rated show following days of outrage over Limbaugh's statements about Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown student who was denied a chance to speak at a Congressional hearing about birth control.

"We are pulling our ads with Rush Limbaugh and appreciate the community's feedback," the company wrote in a tweet.

The Twitter campaign focused on Sleep Train, but there are plenty of other advertisers: Pro Flowers, Domino's Pizza, Lending Tree, Life Quotes, e-Harmony, OnStar, Hotwire, CARBONITE, Select Comfort, The Neptune Society of Northern California, Oreck Corporation, Mid-West Life Insurance Co. Tennessee, AutoZone Inc., Mission Pharmacal (Citrical), LegalZoom, Blue-Emu, Citrix Online (GoToMyPC), and American Forces Network."

And again, silence from the leadership of the GOP party about this latest screed from our own modern day Bull Connor...

Can Lisa, Geeez, Debonair Dude, Malcontent, Jo-Jo Politico or any other right wing blogger come up with such a slew of examples where National Democratic leaders have called women sluts, made fun of the figures of our First Ladies, sent around racist inflammatory e-mails that said were meant to be private and publicly rooted for our Presidents to fail?

Anon... you can be sure we will soon be hearing how libs are trying to deny Rush his First Amendment right to free speech...

However the truth will be far from their rhetoric... we are allowing him to speak freely... just not without consequences...

Appreciate the post: I cannot listen to the man. His mother
noted "he flunked everything" and he continues to amuse the least
common denominator.

Narrow blood vessels lie alongside the intestines of the earthworm and they absorb the nutrients from the
alimentary canal feeding the rest of the body. Below are listed a few
popular pubs where one can chill in Mumbai. The decline of the East
side blues scene was disheartening, but, it also gave rise to
the need for a fresh start, which came in the form
of the next blues-only venue, Antone's, founded by the late Clifford Antone, during the summer of 1975.
