NOT EVEN CONSERVATIVES LIKE MR. TRUMP

Trumpublicans are NOT Conservatives. Trumpublicans are cultists who adore a Liar, a Cheat, and a Fraud. Real Conservatives moved away from the disaster that is Trump long ago.

And here is proof that now it is only cultists who support the twice impeached, Putin-supporting and loving Former Guy:

Conservative think tank's exclusive gathering will include Biden official — but not Trump

"A private, off-the-record gathering of conservative leaders and wealthy donors will convene this week in Sea Island, Georgia, with appearances by a Biden White House official and several critics of former President Donald Trump.

Trump was not invited to the exclusive event, which will be attended by some of the Republican Party's biggest donors, according to two people familiar with the event who were not authorized to discuss it.

The conservative American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum this year will be held at The Cloister, a high-end hotel complex in Sea Island, and feature invite-only discussions, meals and access to miles of private beach."

[snip]

"...instead of celebrating Trump, like the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando last month, this year's AEI World Forum will feature Democrats alongside congressional Republican officials and possible contenders for the party's 2024 presidential nomination. One of those Democrats is Brian Deese, Mr. Biden's top economic adviser."

Here's all you need to know about the current state of the GOP.

They welcome members like this...

Unless and until Republicans of all stripes stand up and repudiate this type of thinking and unequivocally state that there is no place place in the GOP for people like this, we will never move forward.

It's time for for the somewhat sane, of which I count Skud, Silverfiddle and a few others, to call out the extremists among their crowd and denounce their views. Opposition is fine, but to declare Dems worse that murdering, invading communist Russians is horrendous.

Too bad they didn't invite him. He might have accidentally fallen off a balcony.

skudrunner said...

There are a fringe group who supports him but conservatives do not. Unlike the fictitious number of 30% who support him it is dwindling down to not even be relevant. The GOP is not without major faults and past support of trump is one of them. He is loosing support faster than CNN.

Dave Miller said...

Not true Skud... the majority of the GOP supports Trump for 2024.

And few will criticize him publicly.

If they don't support him and he has so few people supporting him, and is losing support faster than CNN, as you claim, why are Republican critics so hesitant to criticize him by name?

Those that follow IQ45 and lauded him were NEVER actually Conservatives. He is Extreme, he has always been Extreme and corrupt, those who remotely have done any due diligence on the man knew who he was. What they didn't know was that him running on their ticket wasn't a Joke, I don't think they took him seriously until 2016 and by then absolute fealty to him was mandatory lest they be a moving target. He and other Authoritarian bent Men and Women are ruthless about eliminating anyone who poses a threat to their dominance and power. In an Interview long ago he actually gave the Republicans a warning... that if he ever ran for Office he'd run on their ticket because he Believed Republicans to be Stupid. That's what he actually thinks of his Base, Stupid Marks he can Con, Manipulate and use up for his own Gain... sadly, it worked like a Charm... and still is... until he's pushing up Daisies he will always be a danger to not only our Country, but others as well... he's Parasitic and will suck the life force out of any Host he attaches to.

Bohemian It never ceases to amaze me that 35% of the American voting population took a look at the Talking Yam and decided, "Yeah! That's just the man to lead this country!"

During the 2016 campaign, I remember reading about Trump talking about walking through the dressing rooms during the Miss Teen beauty contests he ran and bragging that he got to see a lot of those teens naked. What kind of a dirtbag does that? The kind that 35% of this country admires. That revelation from Trump, plus his close friendship with Epstein and his procurer, Ghislaine Maxwell, should have been enough for the Republican Party to run as fast as they could away from Trump. Instead they embraced and idolized him. It's a cult now, and nothing more.

PS. I'm looking forward to spending a week in the beautiful state of Arizona at the end of the month!

Thanks for stopping by.

I don't understand why anyone still supports Trump. Just the other day, the former POTUS made an insane, juvenile joke, suggesting that the US should 'put the Chinese flag' on F-22 fighter jets and 'bomb the s--t' out of Russia."

Trump suggested that the U.S. should "blame China" for the offensive and then watch as the two countries engage in a conflict. "And then we say, 'China did it,'" Trump said. "Then they start fighting with each other, and we sit back and watch."

That's something an 8-year old would suggest, not a former POTUS. But most Americans know that Trump has the mental maturity of a spoiled brat.

Dave Miller said...

Shaw... what kind of idiot would encourage a war between two nuclear superpowers? Because nothing could go wrong there.

And what kind of people, the 35 percenters, still support the man and hope he regains the presidency? You read some of those people in the blogosphere and you find out that Obama was right. They're clinging to their unread bibles, guns and bitterness.

It's as if the US was at war and it looked like a Dem might get credit for winning the war, they'd be angry. Oops, that already happened with FDR during WWII.

These folks really are deplorable and the conservatives who silently sit by without a full throated condemnation of Trumpism, are just as bad.

This is what's taking over the former GOP:

We need to build more gallows,” the speaker said, adding that such a deadly fate would “make an example of these traitors who’ve betrayed our country.”

The speech via video at the Feb. 25 conference organized by far-right activist Nick Fuentes, who has espoused racist and antisemitic views, wasn’t from another online agitator or fringe radio host.

Rather, it was delivered by Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers, a Republican lawmaker who represents tens of thousands of constituents and has found a rising national profile as a face of the radicalized wing of the GOP."

[skip]

"While her support for former president Donald Trump’s election falsehoods puts her in line with many Republicans, Rogers has moved unapologetically farther to the edges of American politics: Calling for jailing and executing her political opponents, identifying herself as a member of the Oath Keepers militia group, and attending a conference organized by a group linked to QAnon, the violent anti-government ideology."

[skip]

“She’s so great,” said Trump, who has endorsed Rogers’s reelection, at an Arizona rally in January."

And Trump approves of this hate-filled and dangerous rhetoric and the candidate herself!

tRump continues to exist politically because enough American still support him and the party of ignorance and greed.

Can't help but to wonder why skud won't emphatically denounce tRump on many levels Dave. But I suspect it for the same reason the t-shirt guys won't.

Gas was cheaper under the guy with a taste for underage girls who sold out US interests to Putin and spent $150 million on golfing while bumbling a pandemic that led to 400k deaths and shut down the world economy before attacking the US Capitol and trying to kill his VP.

Dave Miller said...

Shaw... here's what is taking over the GOP...

Ronald "RJ" Regan who is running to be a GOP member of the state legislature in Michigan had this to say about Putin...

“Putin said, ‘I have to protect my country, I have to protect my children, and I can’t count on the United States,’” Regan said.

“So what he did was took some proactive action, he went into Ukraine, knocked out the bio labs, knocked out the missile sites, so he can protect his people”...

Ukraine was no threat to Putin's kids, but Regan reflexively defends him because that's what the GOP does these days. It sides with Communist, Russian dictators over US friendly countries and leaders.

BTW, Regan also had this to say about rape...

“Having three daughters, I tell my daughters, ‘Well, if rape is inevitable, you should just lie back and enjoy it,’”

Just lie back and enjoy it. That's what he tells his daughters. Lie back and enjoy being violently penetrated by someone. Because why not?

This is the GOP today.

Disgusting.

Some conservatives *used* Trump. But he has always been the opposite of what they believe in.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Howard Brazee You got that right!
I'm always astounded at how those cultists are so easily duped by the conman.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Dave M.

The extremist cultists of the GQP are now officially pro-international bloody murderer? And see rape as benign and something that women should just accept?

I get a kick out of once in a while reading AOW's blog headlines and reading that it's THE LEFT that's unhinged!

I don't EVER remember ANY leftie minimizing the crime of rape and making a joke of it, do you?

I don't ever remember ANY leftie praising and admiring Putin, and now after committing these international crimes anyone doing so has to be seen as an anti-democratic, anti-liberty, pro-dictator Loonie!

This Reagan character is insane! Why would his daughters live in the same house with him?! What an cretinous thing to say about rape!

Shaw Kenawe said...

Paula No matter what Biden does, skud and the Trump cultists will say he's making things worse, even when a number of Republicans agree with what he's doing.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Anonymous @12:51

Many Republicans are not willing to do admit and face the fact that as president, Trump sided with Putin against Ukraine, against the West and against democracy.

It is up to us to keep reminding America that Trump is pro-Russia and anti-democracy!

Dave Miller said...

Shaw... regarding Regan, who won the GOP Primary, his daughter urged ppl not to vote for him. Publicly and on social media.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Correction:

ROBERT Reagan, Not Ronald.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Dave M.

What kind of a father says something like that? Do these Trumpublicans purposely try to outdo each other with the vilest things to say? That poor daughter. What a horrible person she has for a father!

Would Robert Reagan tell his sons that if anal rape is inevitable, they should just roll over and enjoy it? I'm sorry to be so graphic, but that's what's the difference between that and what he told his daughters?

Dear Gawd!

Shaw Kenawe said...

We are well rid of the Putin-loving, anti-democracy, anti-liberty idiot:

Former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said that after working under former president Trump, it was clear to her he "admired" Russian President Vladimir Putin and his willingness to stifle dissent.

"I think he feared him. I think the man intimidated him," Grisham said of Trump and Putin during a Tuesday appearance on "The View." "I also think he admired him greatly. I think he wanted to be able to kill whoever spoke out against him."

Who are the crazies who'd want this menace back in the WH?

Dave Dubya said...

Robert Regan's daughter tweeted, "If you live in Michigan and 18+ pls for the love of god do not vote for my dad for state rep. tell everyone"

He's an authoritarian monster.

In 2016, Trump openly asked for Russia’s help as he ran against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. He subsequently used material stolen by Russian spies to attack Clinton every day in the final stretch of the race, even though he knew it had been stolen by Russian spies.
Once in the White House, Trump repeatedly attacked NATO and the European Union ― actions that aligned with Putin’s long-term objectives of weakening or destroying both institutions. He falsely claimed that the military alliance created by the United States after World War II and the free-trade zone were somehow cheating Americans. He mused about withdrawing from NATO entirely, and reportedly intended to do so in a second term.
Trump also continued to praise Putin and defend him, even telling the world in 2018 that he believed Putin over his own intelligence agencies regarding Putin’s work to get Trump elected. A year later, he tried to have Russia readmitted to the G7 group of large democratic economies, from which it was expelled for invading and annexing Crimea in 2014. Trump said he understood Russia’s need to keep the Crimean Peninsula because it had built a base there for its “large and powerful submarines.”
Also in 2019, Trump tried to extort Volodymyr Zelenskyy, then the newly elected president of Ukraine, into smearing Biden, at the time the Democrat he most feared as a 2020 opponent, using $391 million in congressionally approved military aid as leverage. The aid was released only after a whistleblower complaint about it became public, and the episode was the basis of the first of Trump’s two impeachments.

The One

There's no question that Trump admired the anti-democracy, anti-liberty Putin because he himself is both.

But his cultists are deliberately blind to that.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Dave D.,

There's something terribly wrong with Robert Reagan. Even his daughter see it.

Won't be to important if we destroy the planet by our ignorance, greed, and power lust. But guess all that is really what's important eh? Ya sure as hell don't see animals, marine life, or plants trying to destroy their habits due to ignorance and greed.

With everything that's come out about Trump, post 2020 election, and with what we saw him say and do with our own eyes, how could any sentient American still be loyal to this stain on America?

And yet, there are millions of people who still worship this despicable anti-democracy creep.
