UNITED AIRLINES TRAINING VIDEO

A friend from fb who lives in Sweden:

I think a lot more people will be taking the flight voucher and hotel room rather than risk a random beat-down by hired thugs. Kind of a "cake or death" thing. Related: I'm starting a ska band called "Overbook Beat-Down."

  1. The flight was not even overbooked. United simply decided they wanted to move one of their crews to another city and we're going to use that plane. So they had to remove people.

What a PR nightmare. Most people already hate flying, so an airline decided to make the the experience even worse. No one thought this through?

Did they even try to add a Pepsi to the offer?

  2. Dave, United damaged their brand forever, IMO. When I think of that airline, I'll forever think of a bloodied passenger beaten by the organization he paid to fly him to his destination.

The video is an example of the PR nightmare that United will endure. I know I will NEVER fly United.

  3. BuzzFeed News:

United Airlines lost nearly a billion dollars in market value this morning — one day after a video showed a man was dragged off an overbooked flight. Will the stock recover?
