Why does he do this when parents of public school children know that public schools cannot give a student even an aspirin without the parents' permission.
Trump is saying, again, that children go to school as a male or female; the school then performs complicated surgery on them without the parents knowing; and those children return home days later as a different sex!
(Has this been reported by any American parent of public school children? Anyone?)

Whether or not an individual MAGA cultist believes this lie isn't the point, accepting the lie as a story all of MAGA shares is the point. It's a narrative which they can focus on and yes, some cultists will take this literally. Does anyone remember that poor deluded soul who went to rescue kids from a pizza parlors hidden dungeon only the restaurant didn't have a basement? Yeah, it's exactly like that.
ReplyDeleteAs the purity tests and shunnings continue the concentration of MAGA delusions gets stronger and stronger. These are dangerous times as those who truly believe they have nothing left to lose will do unspeakable things. I personally turned this emotion inwards back in the day. Too many MAGA folks aren't the self sacrificing sort so they will turn this energy outward.
Just be observant, know your exits - all of them, and keep alive so your vote will count. A bit of a ghoulish thought but it is the season.

I realize that the only solution to a problem is to throw money at it so maybe we should give millions to rich kids to pay for a degree that has no employable meaning and just do away with RRR and replace it with gender studies.

ReplyDeleteSupport raising taxes on corporations is another lofty goal which means you support raising prices and moving jobs off shore. Corporations do not pay taxes out of profit they just raise prices because their commitment is to shareholder value. If something can be built in a tax friendly environment they will move. Check out Ford, GE, AE, Cisco,IBM, Pfizer as an example.
