Idiot FOTUS fires six NSC staff on advice from conspiracy idiot, Laura Loomer...

and other insanity from the idiot king:

It was a remarkable spectacle: Ms. Loomer, who has floated the baseless conspiracy theory that the Sept. 11 attacks were an “inside job” and is viewed as extreme by even some of Mr. Trump’s far-right allies, was apparently wielding more influence over the staff of the National Security Council than Mr. Waltz, who runs the agency. A longtime supporter of Mr. Trump who has frequently spoken of her desire to work with him, Ms. Loomer was one of Mr. Trump’s most vicious online enforcers during the 2024 campaign.

Thomas Friedman, NYTimes:

"Donald Trump is not known for doing his homework — he’s more of a go-with-my-gut kind of guy. What I find most terrifying about what Trump is doing today is that he seems to be largely relying on his gut to bet that he can radically overturn how America’s institutions have operated and the way the nation relates to both its allies and enemies — and get it all right. As in, America will become stronger and more prosperous, while the rest of the world will just adjust. Next question.

Well, what are the odds that Trump can get all of these complex issues right — based on trusting his gut — when on the same day that he was announcing his huge tariff increases on imports from the world over, he invited into the Oval Office Laura Loomer, a conspiracy theorist who believes that Sept. 11 was an “inside” job. She was there, my Times colleagues reported, to lecture Trump about how disloyal key members of the National Security Council staff were. Trump subsequently fired at least six of them. (No wonder so many Chinese asked me in Beijing last week if we were having a Mao-like “cultural revolution.” More on that later.)

Yes, what are the odds that such a president, seemingly ready to act on foreign policy on the advice of a conspiracy theorist, got all this trade theory right? I’d say they’re long.

What is it that Trump, with his grievance-filled gut, doesn’t understand? The time we live in today, though far from perfect or equal, is nevertheless widely viewed by historians as one of the most relatively peaceful and prosperous in history. We are benefiting from this pacific era in large part because of a tightening web of globalization and trade, and also because of the world’s domination by a uniquely benign and generous hegemon called the United States of America that is at peace and economically interwoven with its biggest rival, China.

In other words, the world has been the way the world has been these past 80 years because America was the way America was: a superpower ready to let other countries take some advantage of it in trade, because previous presidents understood that if the world grew steadily richer and more peaceful, and if the United States just continued to get the same slice of global G.D.P. — about 25 percent — it would still prosper handsomely because the total pie would grow steadily larger. Which is exactly what happened."

The Idiot King gives the finger to what he called "suckers & losers."

These soldiers were serving their country when they lost their lives. Trump chose playing golf over respecting them.

  1. Congress, the Supreme Court, and Republican voters have enabled Mr. Trump. Existing laws and the U. S. constitution prohibit the actions taken by the president and his minions, including Mr. Musk. But few federal officeholders have the decency and common courage to uphold their legal and constitutional responsibilities. Instead they cower, kowtow, and praise the magnificent clothing of the naked emperor. It sounds quaint to say it, but where is virtue among elected leaders? Where is virtue among Republican voters? Instead of virtue, the ruling ethic of Trumpistas is hurt somebody, hurt them bad and often, hurt them until they are thankful if you just stop hurting them. What shameful thuggery masquerading as patriotism.

  2. Oh, FOTUS, be careful of what you ask for, you just might get it. Yes, you will fundamentally change the way our institutions operate but better? Without a plan?

    OOOOOkkkkkkkkaaaaaaayyyyyyyy.

So, I am reminded of these axioms:
    - ETTD - everything Trump touches dies
    - Evil never serves it's own purpose for in the deed it commits it also sows it's own demise.
    - What goes up must come down, if one is one a Ferris Wheel or a sine wave. There is a solution, change the paradigm.
    - When all is darkness around you and that is just not ok, be the light you seek. You can find it because it was inside you all this time.
    - In a world where everyone is shouting "Boil that dust speck!!" be a Yop. No more hiding in the corner - and this advice is as much for me as it is anyone else.

As for Loormer, there is a reason she is called the names she's called. The girl chained herself to Trump Tower to get his attention. Stalker much?

  3. Remember those halcyon days of Trump mocking President Obama and saying he'd be too busy working as president to play golf?

We got no soldiers in active combat so the loss of any soldier is magnified. Why couldn't he go and pay his respects?

Because he's a BS artist. Doesn't really respect our soldiers and contrary to his statements, he's too busy playing golf to be president.

While all of America suffers financially.

And again, silence and evasion from his enablers in the electorate.

  5. Anon, Grey One, Dave, Les,

I’m not the only one who thinks Trump is an idiot.

Joe Walsh was a GOP Representative: “He’s an idiot. If you didn’t know that before, know that now. He’s an idiot.”

    1. So the remedy for eff ups at the NSC is to have a crazy conspiracy woman tell an idiot president who she thinks needs to be fired? That’s how things are done in a Banana Republic and lunatic asylum, so maybe that’s why you’re good with it.

    7. That's changing the subject. The Government never censored your posts. They have censored mine. Your posts here are NOT being censored. Mine, for 9 years, were subjected to a regime of censorship. And Les is now worried that "his" might now be subjected to that self-same regime.

    8. I have no idea what you’re talking about. It is not anyone’s fault here that your posts were censored by the government. And why should we be interested since we have no information on the circumstances or reasons for it. But why are you upset now? Your hero, Trump censored an international news organization for counting to use the “ Gulf of Mexico” instead of the “ Gulf of America.” And Trump’s regime kidnapped a foreign college student off the streets of an American city for writing an article in a school’s newspaper criticizing Israel.

Get used to censorship. You voted for more of what you’re complaining about.

  14. Were you against tariffs when they were proposed by nancy, barry, chuckie starting back in 2008. So this proves that the democrat elite are not against tariffs they are just showing their hatred of trump.
The problem is trump is the first one to follow through while the others sat on the sideline and did what they do best for the American worker, nothing.

CNN, President Obama slapped a stiff 35% tariff on Chinese tires in 2009 after American companies complained about unfair competition.
Nancy, "In terms of tariffs, it’s interesting to note that the average U.S. MFN [Most Favored Nation] tariff on Chinese goods coming into the United States is two percent, whereas the average MFN tariff on U.S. goods going into China is 35 percent."
bernie, 2008. Bernie Sanders Free trade without tariffs will destroy American manufacturing.
schumer, In 2005, Senators Chuck Schumer and Lindsey Graham proposed legislation imposing a 27% tariff on Chinese goods to combat China's currency

    1. Skud, if you don’t understand the foolishness of your “ whataboutism “ comparing specific temporary tariffs on China of years ago to what Trump did this week, I can’t help you.

You, like too many willfully blind Americans, are so determined to normalize the authoritarian tyrant, felon and sexual assaulter in the WH that you post inane comparisons to justify your acceptance of his insane actions.

PS. How’s your IRA/401k doing? Trump devastated mine and millions of other retirees who’ve worked hard and saved so that these last years could be lived in relative security instead of the Cho’s and fear we are now experiencing. Trump did that to us, and he will live to regret his stupidity. I guarantee that. History is rife with examples of what happens to tyrants like him.

The loyalists as singing from the MAGA choir book, everything is fine, and if it's not fine it will be, and if will be never happens then pain is good for the little people. You should be proud to suffer for your dear leader.

So - a bit OT - judge in the misplaced deported immigrant told the DOJ lawyers they had until 11:59 pm on 4/7/25 to get them back into the states. Lots of conjecture flying about as to whether the FOTUS admin will follow the judges orders or ignores the judges orders creating that moment in history where everyone says This is the time and place everything blew up.

I don't do anticipation well, especially after the stress of will I or won't I have my social security for this month. I will - worked out and I had a lovely conversation with my rep. Gave them all the support even as we've always acknowledged the system does need work, just not the crash bang of kids who know nothing of how legacy systems operate.

I'm going off line for a bit. Lots of marches today and I can't be there in spirit if I'm focused on the melee online.

  18. Skud... regarding tariffs and Dems, not that you will research or check your ideas for truth before you spout off.

No Dem leaders in the modern era, post WWII, have ever, I repeat, ever, advocated for universal tariffs, excepting Russia of course. None. Not one, not two. none.

    Targeted tariffs? Sure. Universal? Never.

So here's your lesson in logic for today.

Dems are and have been for a long time in favor of strategic, targeted tariffs to induce a particular outcome or policy advantage from the target of a tariff. Never a universal tariff on every country on the planet, again, except our enemies in Russia, with no stated objective or reason.

    Who treat allies like this?

The guys you vote for, that's who. Thanks for supporting the loss of trillions of dollars of wealth from Americans of all stripes... from every state.

Now go back to work taking Social Security and Health Care access from us too so we can pay for a tax cut to the billionaires who help get your favored candidates elected.

  19. Ms. Shaw, So it is not about tariffs but about trump. The democrat leadership was for them before they were against them. BTW if you do some research the tariffs they were not talking about specific tariffs but tariffs overall. I'm sure that's irrelevant because it was proposed by democrats and we know they are no longer valid discussions.

I do not think there is any reason for any country to impose tariffs on anything. That is because I believe in competition and free markets but I am sure you differ in your opinion because we are talking about trump.

For decades the US has prospered because the government boost up the stock market by pouring cash into it and falsely controls employment by boosting the government workforce. This comes at a cost to the taxpayer and how long can we increase the debt and burden our great grandchildren.

David, You make it sound like our allies don't impose tariffs on us. Look at UK, Canada, India, Australia, Germany and see if they have imposed tariffs in the past. We have always faced universal tariffs we just didn't call them universal.

Actually grey a lot of my comments are from 2018 which is far less than 17 years ago. Where has it been said anyone is doing away with SS. Maybe for our kids and grandkids but not those on or about to be on SS.
