WHAT CHANGED HIS MIND?

History will NOT be kind to Trump's supporters (many are abandoning him because of his 180 on the Epstein files). MAGA refuse to see him for the criminal, liar, cheat, fraudster, sexual predator and pal of Epstein that he is/was. Trump and Melania partied with child rapist Epstein and his procurer, Maxwell, for years.

Photos of them together are all over the internet.

There's a reason Bondi lied about the list:

Trumpism:  The Age of Moral Numbness, brought to America by his morally numb supporters.

  1. In February, US Atty General Pam Bondi was directly asked on FOX News about the Epstein client list. Here’s what she said, echoing the sentiment you highlighted Shaw… “It’s [Ther Epstein client list] sitting on my desk right now to review.”

Now she is saying there is no list.

Obviously there’s something wrong here. Either Bondi, the nation's highest law enforcement official, was lying then, is lying now, or the Trump Administration has destroyed the list.

If Bondi was lying to the American people, in service to Trump, should she face any consequences? If she was not lying and actually had the list she said on FOX she had "on her desk", then where is that list now?

From any angle, this is bad. It either exposes a major coverup or the extent to which candidate Trump and his entire admin will go to lie and mislead the American ppl not for security purposes, such as in war, but for political purposes.

Either way, the American people are owed an explanation. An explanation any earlier version of the GOP would have gleefully called for had this been a Dem president.

    1. When two things said by the Trump administration are incompatible, they cannot both be true, accepted, or happen simultaneously due to their inherent differences.

The Epstein client list cannot be on Bondi's desk and not exist at the same time. This isn't Schrödinger's cat, it's Trump's DoJ covering up the truth.

We should not accept this and allow the administration this blatant dishonesty.

  2. The "Schrodinger's Epstein List" is yet another element from "1984" called "doublethink", believing two contradicting statements as true.

Trump is the American blend of Hitler and Big Brother.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.
It was their final, most essential command.” – The Party (1984)

“Just remember, what you are seeing and what you are reading
is not what's happening.” – Donald Trump

  3. An interesting post I found from montemader on Instagram that the Attorney General of Florida from 2011 - 2019 was Pam Bondi.

I knew this in the back of my brain but yeah, of course The List disappeared. Luckily (or not) there are still players in the mix who most likely have insurance policies, otherwise I'm certain they'd already be unalived.

Powerful people do not like being challenged and will fight to the death to protect what they've pillaged. So you know, dragons.

  5. From "The Onion:"

"Trump Urges Supporters To Move On From Societal Disdain For Pedophilia

WASHINGTON—Facing mounting backlash from his MAGA base over his perceived ties to the Jeffrey Epstein case, President Donald Trump reportedly encouraged his supporters Monday to simply move on from society’s widespread disdain for pedophilia. “It’s time to just accept that some people like having sex with kids and focus on the fantastic things we’re doing to win back the respect of the world,” said Trump, who expressed frustration that instead of celebrating the passage of his domestic spending bill or his historic deportation numbers, many of his supporters were getting distracted by “something that people have done since ancient Greece.” “Are people really still talking about the sexual abuse of children? Let it go! Our administration is making America great again. That’s the story, not whether I or anyone else ‘diddled’ an underage girl! The case is closed. Sometimes kids get molested. Maybe they shouldn’t dress like such sluts!” Trump went on to state that he has had many pedophile friends and associates over the years who have been fine, hardworking Americans."

  6. Publishing the list would embarrass a lot of "important" people but other than embarrassment it serves no purpose. I will suspect there are several politicians, (clinton, trump) for sure and millionaires and billionaires (gates, kraft) but it would be interesting to see. There is a number of rich and powerful people pressuring the administration to bury the list. The list probably has both republican and democrat so I don't think either party wins.
I am all for publishing it even if hunter is on the list.

    1. Epstein was a notorious pedophile -- he raped underage girls -- and his girlfriend, Maxwell, was his procurer and groomer. Don't you think we should know who Epstein's clients were? Or should the people who were good friends with Epstein and Maxwell get away with what they did?

We know a lawsuit was filed against Prince Andrew by Virginia Giuffre, alleging sexual assault, but it was settled out of court. Prince Andrew denied the allegations, but he did pay her off. I wonder why. If he were innocent he would have sued her for defamation.

Prince Andrew can't have been the only famous wealthy man who indulged himself with what Epstein offered.

As far as we know, Hunter Biden is NOT on Epstein's list, but Elon Musk said this: “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

Musk has also claimed Steve Bannon is on the Epstein list. Interesting, eh?

You know whose names are NOT on the Epstein list?

      Barack Obama's and Joe Biden's.

    2. So you have seen the list or are you just guessing. Who else was on it. Why didn’t the previous admin go after it because they would have loved to further embarrass trump.

  7. It has been a confusing time on the interwebz lately. Apparently the Right seems to think that the Left doesn't want the Epstein list released because it might implicate important Democrats.

Personally I don't care whose name is on the list. What I and so many others on the Left side of the political spectrum want is what we've wanted all along: accountability from people of power for the crimes of SAing children. Not sure why this is such a touchstone issue but I guess when one side has used SA as a strawman against the other for decades (Nationalist Christians - looking at your treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community) it's jarring to discover those who've been the loudest accusers turn out to be the most prolific abusers.

  8. ... the loudest accusers turn out to be the most prolific abusers.

The loudest use the noise they make as their cover. Until it blows up. And it eventually always does. Follow the money and the graft and it always leads to the dirt pile.

  9. Anon/Skud... We're just guessing, based on the visual evidence of who has/had associated with Epstein over the years. But honestly, we just want to know. Is that wrong? Maybe so, but perhaps if Trump Admin officials like FBI #2 Dan Bongino, AG Bondi, VP Vance, FBI Director Patel had not spent years hyping the list in an attempt to smear Fmr Presidents Clinton, Obama and Biden for being on that list or not releasing it, this would not be a thing.

This is all the making of the MAGA Fever Swamp.

Next time you show up, why not trying telling us... was AG Bondi lying when she said the list was on her desk, on FOX News no less, is she lying now while saying there is no list, or has the list been destroyed?

    What's your opinion?

  10. Dave, I do believe bondi is lying or there is a thief in her office. How can a file be on your desk one day and not the next. Of course that brings into question the massive russia files schitt had but never produced.

Politicians are by nature lying, corrupt individuals and that goes for all sides, now that we have a growing independent selection. Look at schiff if you want a perfect example of hyping a list for five years and coming up empty handed.
We haven't had the two parties work together for the good of the country since RR and O'neill.

At least bondi not publishing the list gives dems something to do because working for the people is out of the question.

BTW, since epstein records were available during beach chair's reign why didn't he make them public?

    1. Maybe you don't know how our government works, skud? In case you're unaware, all of the branches of government are in the hands of the Trumpublicans. I surprised you didn't know that.

Do you know how a bill becomes a law? Apparently not. It is IMPOSSIBLE now for ANY Democrat to propose ANY legislation while the Trumpublicans hold all the power in the legislative, executive, and judiciary branches of government. Unless YOU know of a way that Democratic House members can propose legislation that helps Americans and can get it even to come to the floor of the House, your suggestion that the Dems working for the people is out of the question is nuts.

The legislative power to help Americans is COMPLETELY in the hands of the Trumpublicans at this time. Perhaps you forgot that actual fact?

Meanwhile, Joe Biden and the Democrats passed DOZENS of bills that did just that while he was president. You, in your ongoing crusade to denigrate everything and anything the Democrats do, ignore that fact. This blog has time and again listed every policy Biden passed that helped Americans, and you pretend either you didn't know about it or cannot bring yourself to acknowledge that fact.

As for the question on why didn't Biden pursue the Epstein files.

First, the president isn't directly in control of criminal investigations so it's not really his decision unless he's somewhat overstepping his bounds to interfere with the judiciary, like Trump unlawfully does. Biden didn't do that. He believes in the Constitution, not rule by fiat, like Trump does.

Second, generally law enforcement doesn't just publish incriminating evidence about people for shits and giggles. It's seen as a form of harassment. They either charge people or keep the info to themselves.

If you're insinuating the list never existed that might be the case, but Trump's administration suggested it did and that his enemies were on it. If Biden had named anyone specifically, it would be slander; and doing so more vaguely is just as bad if not technically illegal. If you think the list does exist it seems pretty likely Trump is pretending otherwise to protect someone who is on it, and there's a pretty short list of people Trump is loyal enough to other than himself to do that.

    2. Skud... you should have stopped at Bondi is lying. Adam Schiff is not germane to whether or not the Attorney General of the US, a sworn officer of the court, lied to the American people.

That's the thrust of this post and she's in the middle of it.

Anyone who thinks a US AG can lie to "we the people" and not face consequences needs to check their partisanship.

  11. Now to Skud's questions about Biden not releasing the files.

Maybe because there was never anything to release?

Remember, this entire episode has been fabricated whole cloth from the imaginations of the MAGA crowd, certain everything would make the Clinton's and Dems look bad.

Maybe the simplest explanation is this...

The entire MAGA world, made all of this up and is now caught in a massive series of lies.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Why would the AG say the list was on her desk if it wasn't, sounds like a lie because either it was never there or it disappeared which is doubtful.

I reread your post and didn't see where you gave any explanation why the previous administration didn't press the issue. Granted as has been shown biden was not in charge of anything but garland had a grudge against the GOP and you would think he would have pushed, unless it is embarrassing to to many powerful people.

You are incorrect that I denigrate everything the dems do. I support their efforts to allow women to make decisions on their own body. I agree that the mass firings of government employees. Your right that I disliked the open border policy and supporting rich kids tuition. Both parties and a significant number of their supporters don't see the warts. The democrats are only in the attack mode with no solutions to anything except give away everything and just make the rich pay for it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Skud,
If Garland "had a grudge against the GOP", maybe it was because of the GOP's grudge against him. They KILLED his appointment to the Supreme Court to deny the Black president his duty EIGHT MONTHS before an election, saying it was "too close" to the election.

But as we know, the ONLY standards Republicans have are double standards as the rammed through Barret DURING an election.

I hope that refreshes your memory. If you want to denigrate Garland, why not do so because he was too slow to investigate Trump and his criminal thugs for attempting to defraud the country and beat cops bloody to overturn an election.

Now those thugs are Trump's praised and pardoned "heroes". "Law and order", Republican style.

  14. Dave, Your naivete doesn't suit you because I know you can do better than be a yellow dog.

  15. Skud... it's the AG, speaking in her official capacity, as the nations lawyer. Not Trump's, not the administration.

I expect politics. I don't expect lies upon lies about evidence. That in itself, in a court room, is illegal. Just ask former lawyer Giuliani.

Now Trump is saying the entire Epstein file was made up by Obama and Comey. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Epstein die during the Trump Admin in 2019?

Obama was not president and comey was not the FBI Director, it was Wray, whom Trump appointed.

Are conservatives too stupid to see through this? Is Trump losing it? Is he just lying about everything now because he's behind the 8 ball?

    I'm just asking questions...

    1. Lets see Les, CNN, Tapper, ABC, "Some former staff and close observers of the Biden administration, as detailed in recent books and reports, have described private instances of Biden struggling with memory and experiencing a decline in his mental and physical capabilities during his presidency. CNN reported on one such book that claims Democratic lawmakers, White House aides, and donors were shocked by Biden's diminishing mental and physical capabilities."
Special counsel Robert Hur, in his 2024 report on Biden's handling of classified documents, described Biden's memory as having "significant limitations", which further fueled the debate.

Come on Les, you knew this or at least you should being the enlightened person you are.

    2. You, as expected, did it answer the question.

Getting older, experiencing moments of momentary memory lapses does NOT mean he ws in charge of nothing.

Regardless YOUR view or any other MAGA's view of President Biden's performance the actually documented successes are what they are.

Was he at the top of his game? No he wasn't. Did he make a few mistakes? Sure did. What president hasn't?

I know what I know. And I know what you apparently don't.

BTW, I am not enlightened. That takes years of study, practice, dedication, and devotion. Few become enlightened in one lifetime. My understanding us It is very rare. But it is possible. Given my age it's unlikely this time around.

BTW, Biden is no longer president. Give him some grace. And turn your criticism toward the current occupant and his obvious cognitive decline and incessant lying.

The past is gone, done, dead. The future not yet here. Focus on the present moment. Focus on the now skud. The past is only useful if you learn something of value from it while it is happening. The future can't do sh*t cause it ain't here yet and never will be.

Life is a continuous flow of the now. And nothing else.

    3. Excellent response. You may not think you’re enlightened in the Buddhist sense — experiencing awakening and the end of suffering. But, in the common understanding of the word, i.e, the belief that science and logic give people more knowledge and understanding than tradition and religion, you definitely are enlightened, IMO.

It takes a lot of discipline and deep understanding to achieve that.

"If someone started a whisper campaign alleging I had done something terrible that I didn’t do, I’d move heaven and earth to clear my name. Which is why I find it so odd that in the case of Donald J. Trump, who by the photographic record was once a friend of the most notorious child rapist and sex trafficker in American history, and has been linked to said rapist’s crimes by some extremely credible women—it’s just so strange that he’d suddenly tell his followers that it’s time to move on. Forget about that “creep” Epstein. Focus instead on how I was the victim of Sleepy Joe’s dastardly plot when he stole the 2020 election."
