DONALD TRUMP: "Climate change is bullsh*t!"
And Trump also calls it a hoax, except it's not a hoax in Ireland where he wants to build a sea wall to protect his golf course from the rising seas due to climate change:
Donald Trump applied for a permit to build a seawall for one of his golf courses in Ireland
The application specifically cites global warming as a reason the seawall is needed
The Republican presidential candidate publicly says he doesn’t believe in climate change and has called it a hoax.
And this:
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly called climate change a hoax and even referred to it as bull**** on his Twitter account.
But that didn’t stop him from citing climate change as the reason for building a seawall for his golf course in Ireland, according to a permit application for the wall obtained by Politico.
The permit application specifically cites global warming as a reason for building the seawall, as well as rising sea levels and extreme weather.
So according to Trump, climate change is happening, but only in Ireland.
But it's "bullsh*t" and a "hoax" where he doesn't own a golf course.
Got that?
He is totally wrong, summer is coming and the climate is going to change from cold to warm. Everybody knows this and I assume so does he.
ReplyDeleteIs climate change another word for global warming?
skud: "Is climate change another word for global warming?"
ReplyDeleteIs ignorant snark the only response you have to postings at this blog?
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is very likely human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented in the past 1,300 years. -- NASA

MIT: Exploring the Impact of Global Environmental & Economic Change
Science and Policy Working Together
Understanding the complex, long-term changes in our land, air and water requires breakthroughs in measurement, modeling and prediction.
Responding to these changes requires innovative policies that comprehend agriculture, energy needs, trade and finance — along with the political and communications savvy to organize a genuinely global approach.
The Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change is MIT's response to these research, analysis, and public education challenges.
At the heart of much of the Program’s work lies MIT’s Integrated Global System Model (IGSM), a linked set of computer models designed to simulate the global environmental changes that arise as a result of human causes. In this way, it explores the interplay between the Earth systems and the human systems.
Let's see, your opinion and Donald Trump's opinion vs. NASA and Scientific American Magazine and MIT?
Willful ignorance driven by political tribalism vs. facts.
I wonder which one anyone with even half a brain and who values facts and rationality would choose.
Attempting to change the minds of those suffering from fossilized cognitive brain dysfunction is a losing battle. Something most over at the Stench Trench suffer from. skudrunner as well is apparently so afflicted. Although, from time to time skud has shown flickers of light and understanding.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Trump believes that the ocean levels are rising cause it keeps raining somewhere in the world and all the rain is filling up the oceans.

ReplyDeleteSo Trump believes in global warming if it affects his wallet and now he's going after big donors to fund his campaign?
Vox: "Donald Trump, who has spent months decrying politicians who take big money for their campaigns, now says he will accept money from big-dollar donors for the general election.
Trump's team announced last week that he will create a fundraising apparatus that will take big checks from the wealthiest donors to fund a campaign that could cost upward of $1 billion, according to Bloomberg.
"He's done a complete 180," says Josh Stewart, a spokesperson for the Sunlight Foundation, which tracks money in politics. "A central part of Trump's campaign for the nomination was that he was not bought and paid for and would self-fund his campaign. Now, he's going back on that."
Trump believes in global warming and is going to have the big, big money men (who he'll be indebted to) contribute to his campaign.
Next he'll announce he'll make American taxpayers pay for that beautiful wall in Mexico.
Stay tuned!
It's business
ReplyDeleteYes, Anon, with Trump it looks like it's going to be business as usual. He's going to take big contribution bucks from the big players, and they'll expect something big in return.
ReplyDeleteTrump is nothing more than warmed over politics only with Louis XIV bling.
Yup, it's business alright. Drumpf business. Which means it's ALL Drumpf and the Yuuuuuge and Great things he has in store as he Makes America Great Again.
ReplyDeleteThe beach in front of the 18th green is disappearing at a rate of about a yard each year.
ReplyDeleteIt's likely that you can't charge as high a green's fee on a 17 hole course.
ReplyDeleteWell Drumpf should be able to understand "global" warming because everything is warm (and dark) where he keeps his head.
LMAO!! Good one.

ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it that Donald Trump is as status quo candidate. His chump supporters think hes' a rebel? Yeah. He's a frikken billionaire who hangs with other billionaires and as we've seen, he's going to ask for fundsf rom the big buck boys, so he'll be indebt to them as every other presidential candidate has been. He's more of the same with a bigger stupider mouth. And bad hair.
Hank,
ReplyDeleteThe system is rigged, and Trump is part of the system that does the rigging.
Trump, the billionaire welfare king.
Yup, we are saddled with two status quo candidates. Voting Libertarian or Green is looking better every day.
ReplyDeleteI believe it has something to do with principles. Something the two major party candidates are sorely lacking in.
