The U.S. Senator who said this about Donald J. Trump,

Lindsey Graham (Hypocrite Extraordinaire -- SC),

[Trump is a]"race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot"; a man who lacks both presidential temperament and chief-executive judgment; a man who has "conned" the GOP; a man who had either shot or poisoned the nominating process; a man who "disturbs" and "scares the hell out of me"; a man who "is the most unprepared person I've ever met to be commander in chief."

Is now getting behind the race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot and con man who is the most unprepared person he's ever met to be commander in chief and is supporting Trump for President of the United States.

This is why people detest the current T-GOP and why it has a 20% approval rating by the American people:

  • They have no core values
  • They have no core convictions
  • They're not loyal to America
  • They are loyal to a political party that is rotten to the core.

  1. Shaw, I wouldn't listen to Graham if he told me the sky was blue. But you are definitely correct, he's a hypocrite to say all that about Trump then turn around and support him.

  2. But, even though the American people give the GOP a 20% approval rating, Trump will still get more than 20% of the vote. He'll likely lose to Hillary, but not by that much. I'm guessing the reason (in addition to election fraud) is that many people just can't be bothered to get out and vote. Because if the participation rates were higher I'm convinced there wouldn't have been a Republican president for some time (no president gwb for certain).

  3. The GOP's gift to America is a candidate that is hated more than Hillary and who his own party says is unfit to be commander in chief? Donald Trump, like today's GOP has no core values, so it makes sense that they'd choose him.

After McCain chose Sarah Palin in the summer of 2008, the McCain/Palin ticket was ahead of the Obama/Biden ticket and that was in the late summer early fall of 2008. And remember how SHOCKED! the Goopers were when Romney lost to Obama in 2012 because they were sure the polls had Mittens ahead? I remember. We'll talk about which polls matter in August or September, not in May.

Donald Trump has higher negatives than Hillary and is detested by Hispanics and Latinos and women. Ya can't win in a general without those groups. But keep talkin about Trump and his 3 point lead over Hillary.

  5. Democratic Party Favorability as of Jan. 2015. Better than republicans but still not a net positive.

Seems as though the old Lesser of Two Evils apply on this one.

  6. The "NeverTrump" movement sure seems to have fizzled.

A splintered Repub convention was a big hope but it seems the donors are going to make a go of Drumpf.
He'll say anything and he may be more difficult than we imagine for Hillary to handle.

  7. Given current polling data Drumpf is now very competitive. He can no longer be taken lightly Ducky. HRC is going to have a tough 5 months and Drumpf is without a doubt going to go nasty with a vengeance.

What is impossible for this fiscal conservative to really grasp is the number of conservatives that readily accept the Drumpf's bs and outright lies.

  8. Ducky finally came to his senses....of course the donor class will support Trump and the dems have a flawed candidate on their hands. Hillary has baggage, and not a carry on but a steamer trunk and her biggest piece of baggage may very well be Bubba.

  9. These Wealthy People Refuse to Give Donald Trump Money. Here's Why.

Charles Koch: 'Possible' Clinton could be better than GOP nominee

"[S]tatisticians say that such polls do not merit the intense coverage they receive because, by showing such drastic reversals, they are likely to be inaccurate.

“It takes a lot to shift public opinion, especially when pitting two candidates who are as distinct as Clinton and Trump,” wrote Columbia University political scientist Andrew Gelman in The Washington Post on Thursday. “Preelection polls jump all over the place. Sometimes Hillary Clinton’s ahead by 20 points, other times she and Donald Trump are nearly tied.

Jumping polls can make for frenzied reporting, but much of this is just noise.”
In another example of a poll that “jumps all over the place,” a Reuters/Ipsos Trump vs. Clinton presidential election tracking poll has Trump coming from behind to virtually tie Clinton on May 12. But by May 15, just three days later, Clinton had opened up a 6.2 point lead in the same poll. The Real Clear Politics polling average as of May 19 shows Hillary Clinton with a 3.3 point national lead over Donald Trump.

  10. Ms.Shaw, do you search for every left leaning poll or article that will put salve on the wound that is Hillary Clinton?
All the past election histories have no meaning this time. You along with the main stream republicans have missed the boat on this one, you have misjudged the anger that is boiling in the average voter. Hillary is the past, she is what most view as part of the problem. It seems as if people are ready to upset the apple cart.

  11. It's Hillary in 2016. You're either with us or against us. (To borrow a page from GWB.) The only thing that matters right now is supporting Hillary and spreading the word. There is no neutral ground. This is way too important. Most of these commenters are just dicking around trying to prove how smart and savvy they are. (Pamela excepted.) It's this type of canoodling and putzing that could allow this devil to take the office of the president. Wake up people. This isn't what we want.

I don't want to hear about a whole lot of Hillary negatives. You guys are missing the point of what is going on. Get on board. There is a lot at stake. No more wasting time. What is it that you want to happen? We need your help. Maybe you don't really care. I guess it's just a big joke to most of you.

But take heart. There is no way that the old fossil will make any significant inroads into the California primary which is only two weeks away. It's already time for the Bernie Bros to put up or shut up. We don't need them to take the White House.

No way in hell Trump can take either California or New York in the general. I have no idea what protocol these recent polls are using, but it's not math that takes into account the electoral college. You guys are all over the map, kvetching about some baggage that Hillary supposedly carries. Bitching that your candidate didn't make the cut. Don't lose this chance to change the world.

  12. ",,,you have misjudged the anger that is boiling in the average white, over 65, male voter."

    There. Fixed that for you.

And you've missed the anger Hispanics, Latinos, Muslims, women, young people, Asians, the disabled, African-Americans, and people who are not poorly educated have against the " "race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot"; a man who lacks both presidential temperament and chief-executive judgment; a man who has "conned" the GOP;...a man who "is the most unprepared person...ever...to be commander in chief."

That would be Donald J. tRump.

  13. Flying Junior:

"You guys are all over the map, kvetching about some baggage that Hillary supposedly carries. Bitching that your candidate didn't make the cut. Don't lose this chance to change the world."

The Anonymous commenters who come here are the same types who were crowing about the YUUUUUUGE crowds the McCain/Palin ticket got when McCain chose the half-wit, half-term governor as his running mate. People were angry in that election, remember? And I remember how angry people were in the 2000 election. In fact, have there been any presidential election where people weren't angry and wanted change?

Barack Obama won two elections, the first one on the idea of HOPE AND CHANGE.

What these Anonymous characters don't see is the anger AGAINST tRump by people who are not insane enough to elect an incompetent lying loud mouth.

Let's see how he does in the debates with Hillary. You can't bully and brawl your way through those. You actually need to know and understand foreign and domestic policies.

"Bomb the shit outta 'em" is not a foreign policy.

  14. Well Flying Junior you can lump me in with the dumb shitz I guess. Since you singled out Pam as being the only exception you apparently think none of us are applying thoughtful analysis to the candidates as well as the polling data.

Sorry, some simply don't just go either the flow of a particular party line and accept purity in any political ideology. Speaking now for myself I never have and never will. PERIOD.

Having said that Drumpf must be defeated. You may like my most resent post over at, you know, the contrarian corner. :)

  15. RN... to be fair, I think the guys are talking about folks like me, who have stated they hate Trump, but also are not fans of HRC. I know Trump will be horrible, but I really do not think HRC is the person to lead, or unite, our country either.

What should someone like me do?

If I hear folks correctly, they are saying "hold my nose" and support her.

    I just can't do it.

FJ... to be fair, I think GWB said "you're either for us, or agin' us"... perfect cowboy English...

  16. Dave, I feel exactly as you do. Both Drumpf and HRC stink to the proverbial high heaven. Voting for Drumpf is not an option for me, period. Were I living in a state that was considered a swing sate I might have to hold my nose and vote for HRC as she is, after all, the lesser of two evils. Since MA is undoubtedly going to go HCR and it's electoral college votes will go to her I may simply sit this one out. Or, vote Libertarian again as a protest vote against the corruption and lies that both major parties have been complicit in for YEARS.

FJ, I've held my tongue out of respect many times when you have disagreed or been critical of guys like Dave and me. This time I simply could not do so. Hope you understand.

  17. I'm sure that we all want the same things. We just have different ideas about getting there. Even Uncle Jim loves life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Me? I love Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer. Governor Brown and President Clinton. Loretta Sanchez and Kamala Harris. I even like our current president.

  18. I believe we Flying Junior. I believe we do.

I also respect our sitting president.

Me, I like a good craft beer and a nice spring or fall day in New England.

Did I mention the importance of family? Especially the little ones and the future they represent?

Well, it is early yet to wax philosophical. Or poetic for that matter.

As the sands of time trickle by...
