ReplyDeleteWhat changed? The Geneva Conventions were born out of the mid 19th century to civilian and combatant injury and death during times of war. In 1949 after WWII, many countries, including the US, strengthened those conventions, again, to limit civilian injury and death during war.
However, POTUS Trump has publicly said he rejects those conventions and as POTUS, he is only restrained by his "own morality".
