Trump never achieved an approval rating of over 50%, even the day after his inauguration on January 20, 2017.

President-elect Joe Biden isn't even president yet, and he's already attained a 55% approval. And Trump is still wallowing in the low forties. As he has been during his presidency.

Trump trolls come here every day and denigrate President-elect Biden and ignore the fact that a majority of the American people are happy with the election results and with President-elect Biden.

But, no matter how many times we prove that Trump is a liar, a cheat, a failed businessman, a misogynist, racist, etc., the unfortunate truth is that he captured 47% of the popular vote. And yet Trump keeps repeating "I WON!," as if repeating it will make it so. 

Trump now says that the burden of proof is on Biden to prove that he actually received 80 million votes! Of course, it doesn't work that way.  The burden of proof lies with TRUMP and his insane idea that he, not Biden won the election. And yet, Trump keeps repeating the fantasy that he actually has the proof but the judges won't let his people admit the evidence. 

Unbelievable, bordering on insanity. His base eats it up (along with his requests for donations to help his defense). A grifter until the very end, Trump is known for his career of lies and self-serving distortions and treachery, and trickery and tawdriness. It's what got him elected, which is more a damning indictment of American citizenship than it is of Donald Trump. He could not have succeeded were it not for the hand-holds and greased ropes and smoke-and-mirrors of a sizable number of people who thought that he was a good idea. 

Trump will leave us soon, without a single solitary accomplishment outside his lone election. He is now an old man, shorn of the grandeur of the presidency, an office that he used as Huey Long once did in Louisiana, a mountebank Elmer Gantry; a fraud who yet commanded an audience because he could entertain them and divert them with the delusion that they were great; that they were worthwhile; that they were the salt of the earth. If they trod on toes and bent the law to suit their purposes, well, what was wrong with that? After all, what else is success if not the other side of the coin of someone else's failures?

I am overjoyed Trump will be exiting the White House in under two months but equally astounded that he received nearly 74 million votes. He has been a complete failure as president, but it's impossible to deny that he has prodigious talent at selling his lies, his conspiracies, and his fake love of America and her citizens, who are, during HIS presidency, dying at an alarming rate during the worst pandemic in over a century.

Pardons are only for guilty people; accepting one is an admission of guilt. 

In 1915, the Supreme Court wrote in Burdick v. United States that a pardon “carries an imputation of guilt; acceptance a confession of it.” 

Over the years, many have come to see a necessary relationship between a pardon and guilt. Ford carried the Burdick quote in his wallet, defending the Nixon pardon by noting that it established Nixon’s guilt.

In light of that report, it is now established that Michael Flynn is a convicted felon, and Trump's pardon confirmed that.

How many convicted and pardoned felons does that make? Too many to count in the most dishonest, corrupt administration in my lifetime.

This must include how Jared got financing from Qatar, Elliot Broidy selling influence, Bill Barr corrupting Justice, why Trump did not use a secure phone, the accounting for all his self-dealing with his hotels and golf courses (why hasn't there been a simple story about how much money would have been saved and spent on say, vaccine research, mask distribution, VA Health care, border control, etc., if Trump had played golf at Camp David? 

Trump must be exposed to light, it's the thing he's feared his entire life. He's a fraud, has been a fraud, and will continue to be a fraud without a total reckoning with our country.

Graham (R-S.C.), to question the validity of legally cast absentee ballots in an effort to reverse President Trump’s narrow loss in the state. 

 In a wide-ranging interview about the 2020 election, Raffensperger expressed exasperation with a string of baseless allegations coming from Trump and his allies about the integrity of the Georgia results, including claims that Dominion Voting Systems, the Colorado-based manufacturer of Georgia’s voting machines, is a “leftist” company with ties to Venezuela that engineered thousands of Trump votes not to be counted. The atmosphere has grown so contentious, Raffensperger said, that both he and his wife, Tricia, have received death threats in recent days, including a text to him that read, “You better not botch this recount. Your life depends on it.” 

 “Other than getting you angry, it’s also very disillusioning,” Raffensperger said of the threats, “particularly when it comes from people on my side of the aisle. Everyone that is working on this needs to elevate their speech. We need to be thoughtful and careful about what we say.” He said he reported the threats to state authorities. 

 The pressure on Raffensperger, who has bucked his party in defending the state’s voting process, comes as Georgia is in the midst of a laborious hand recount of roughly 5 million ballots. 

President-elect Joe Biden has a 14,000-vote lead in the initial count.

The transfer of power occurs on Inauguration Day whether Trump concedes or not. Concession is a tradition, not the law. It gives the loser a chance to exit with dignity. If Trump chooses to exit in cuffs with a security detail, so be it. Trump has been throwing away American traditions and norms for the last 4 years. He's done nothing but bring out the ugly.

The only noteworthy thing this administration has done is expose the GOP's willingness to put party over country.AFAIC, let trump embarrass and destroy himself in front of America and the world. I don't care if trump doesn't concede, just as long as he leaves the White House and the government.

A win in Pennsylvania would give Joe Biden the electoral votes he needs to defeat President Trump. Mr. Biden nearly doubled his lead in Nevada and also leads in Georgia and Arizona. Both Senate races in Georgia appear headed toward runoffs.

Most television networks cut away from the statement President Trump gave Thursday night from the White House briefing room on the grounds that what he was saying was not true.

Trump has lost his mind!

  

Trump's niece, Mary Trump, warned us about Trump becoming unhinged and unmoored from reality if he loses the election. The one thing that terrifies Trump is being seen as a loser. That may explain his strange and frightening appearance at the White House podium this evening:

In a scene worthy of any Banana Republic, Trump declared himself the winner of the 2020 election.

Just when you thought he couldn't be more insane, he finds a way to surprise you. If there is any doubt about how little he cares for our democracy, here is your answer:

Trump just spoke from the White House in what could only be called a surreal, grievance-filled rant, insisting he won the 2020 election even though he trails Joe Biden in electoral votes and hundreds of thousands of outstanding ballots have not been processed.

Trump complained about "phony polls" and "suppression polls" that he said were manipulated by "big media" to hurt Republicans, and repeated a lie that he had an early lead in some states before it "miraculously" got "whittled away in secret."

IMO, this is an attempt to create civil unrest. This is despicable!

If Nevada goes for Biden, he can win the electoral vote today. We'll know by 1 PM, eastern time.

Meanwhile, the popular vote shows Biden with more votes for him than any other presidential candidate in American history!

And don't forget! On election night, before Trump won the necessary 270 electoral votes to be re-elected and before a majority of the votes were counted, Trump declared himself the winner!

That is exactly what a dictator does! And yet half of my fellow Americans wanted this unworthy man to lead America for another four years!

"President Trump and his allies pressed their claims Thursday that election officials have allowed ballot fraud to infect the counting process in the battleground states poised to decide the presidency, but they offered no evidence of irregularities and met with two immediate defeats in court. 

 In Georgia, a local judge in Chatham County, home of Savannah, denied the Trump campaign’s effort to disqualify ballots that a Republican poll watcher claimed may have arrived after the 7 p.m. deadline on Election Day. In court, the poll watcher offered no evidence that the ballots had arrived late, and county election officials testified that they had arrived on time."

It ain't over until ALL THE VOTES are counted.

Biden:   227

Trump:  213

Trump falsely asserted election fraud, pledged to mount a legal challenge to official state results and made a premature claim of victory.

Washington Post:

Biden’s campaign manager slammed Trump’s early-morning statement, in which he falsely described continuing to count votes as fraud, calling it “outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect.”

In a statement, Jen O’Malley Dillon described Trump’s speech as “a naked effort to take away the democratic rights of American citizens.” She said it was not up to the president to make such a call.

“The counting will not stop,” she wrote. “It will not stop until every duly cast vote is counted. Because that is what our laws — the laws that protect every American’s constitutional right to vote — require.”

It's amazing to understand that so many of my fellow Americans would want four more years of a guy who called the election for himself WITHOUT HAVING WON THE NECESSARY 270 ELECTORAL VOTES!!!

Trump doesn't know how our representative democracy works! And yet almost half of my fellow Americans still think he should be the head of that representative democracy?!

UPDATE:

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy may have to testify under oath about the U.S. Postal Service’s apparent failures to adhere to court orders in a lawsuit over operational changes that disrupted the delivery of mail-in ballots during the election.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan in Washington said at a hearing Wednesday that he was “shocked” to hear about the USPS failures to follow through on the orders, including not completing a mandatory sweep of mail-processing facilities to look for undelivered ballots by 3 p.m. on Election Day.

“At some point, the postmaster is either going to have to be deposed or appear before me and testify under oath,” Sullivan said. “The court has been very clear that it expects full compliance” with its orders.

If you haven't voted already, be sure to do so tomorrow. 

We all know how important tomorrow's election is.

Do we want another 4 years of a reckless, law-breaking con man whose idea of governing is to pretend a raging pandemic doesn't exist and that a quarter of a million American deaths mean nothing? 

Do we want 4 more years of lies, lies, and more lies? 

Do we want 4 more year of hearing Trump tell the American people that he has a "beautiful and better" health care plan and he'll show to the American people when he figures out what that plan is (There is no plan!). And Mexico isn't paying for a wall!

Do we want 4 more years of our children and grandchildren having to hear the POTUS call people juvenile names, make fun of handicapped people, mock POWs, denigrate women and treat our allies with contempt?

Trump has done all of this and worse. These are behaviors and ethics that we tell our children and grandchilden are not acceptable in civilized, decent human beings.

The Trumpublicans and right wing Evangelicals  have shown us that character, honesty, honor, decency, maturity, dignity, and consideration for our fellow Americans -- none of those are important to them as long as their portfolios are doing well and they can "stick it to the libtards."

IOW, they've lost their honor in service to a liar, cheat, and fraud. They are to be pitied.  We all know now that their once Conservative principles really mean nothing to them as long as they can support a dishonorable conman who hates the same people they hate.

Tomorrow we'll find out if America cares about the ideals it has fought for since its founding or if America will continue to abandon every principle it once stood for to a liar, cheat, and fraud.
