UPDATE: --Go read Infidel753's analysis on the Clinton/Trump race so far and why "sad person" and the rest of the Trumpistas will have to be kept away from high-rise windows and sharp objects come November.
****************************
It appears that even the fringiest of the fright wing fringies are looking at what the natural outcome will be from backing a genuine
as their nominee for POTUS.
Here's an example of one of their laments:
"But most or a great many of us made it to polite civilized society. We respect and nuture nature and all of its inhabitants. We treat each other with respect until evidence presents itself that this was an unwise choice. We allow others freedom of choice until their actions repulse us as civilized humans so much that we must focus out[sic] attention on restraining the fucks.
And now here we are, after all of this, after all of the lives lost and sacrificed of civilized warriors and citizens willing to lay down their lives to protect this polite civilized society find ourselves about to Lose to the most ignorant, mentally diseased libtarded fucks on the face of the planet?
It can't be. It simply can't be."
Oh, but yes, sad person, it simply will be.
(Don't you love the part about "We treat each other with respect..." which then segues into calling Democrats "...the most ignorant, mentally diseased libtarded f**ks on the face of the planet?")
We shouldn't be too hard on these poor souls because it looks as though they're suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect. Also, it is they who paved the way for the
who now represents them and their party.
I'll let PM Carpenter explain the reason for their weeping and gnashing of teeth:
Some quotes from despairing GOP lawmakers: "It is pretty gloomy these days"; "If I had to bet, I'd definitely bet that Trump loses"; "I think it will be Hillary"; "If he continues the next 90 days like the last week, then he will lose big time."
And of course Trump will continue like Trump, since his only remaining strategy is to bury yesterday's outrage with a fresh outrage (goodbye assassination threats; hello Kenyan Obama and Crooked Hillary as ISIS's co-founders). Toddler Trump is building a monument to a landslide."
And there's this from DeadState:
"According to a new McClatchy-Marist poll, Hillary Clinton holds a devastating 15-point lead over GOP nominee Donald Trump.
It’s a stark turnaround from the previous invulnerability Trump seemed to enjoy from his fan base, regardless of the many stupid things he said or the many lies he was caught in.
The demographics of the poll show a trend that could spell doom for Trump’s campaign: Men had been the bedrock of Trump support. Last month, he was up by 14 percentage points among men; he’s now down 8. Clinton remains strong with women, as she’s up 20.
Trump collapsed almost everywhere that he’d built decent support. Even among white voters, which favored Republican White House candidates in recent elections, Trump was lagging, ahead of Clinton, but only just barely, 41-39."
From the New York Times:
"When Mr. Trump fans racist rage against the president, suggests that gun owners take up arms against Mrs. Clinton, or speaks darkly of a “rigged” election, he is not trying to woo Republican skeptics, independents or undecided voters. He is appealing to the mob. Right now Mr. Trump is losing, and this very likely terrifies him. Maybe he doesn’t know how to control himself, or comprehend why he should. Or he is simply satisfying his boundless need for attention. But his behavior this week raises a more disturbing scenario. Perhaps he has given up on winning through civil means and does not care about the consequences of his campaign of incitement."
Detroit Free Press
" So those GOP officials who’ve lined up behind Trump, citing their obligation to party or to protecting the Supreme Court for conservatives or their hatred of Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton? The ones hoping that Trump will eventually dial it down, hire good people and govern from a place of sanity? They’re out of line. Way out of line, and delusional. And their own fitness for office is cast in serious doubt by their inability to stand on principle rather than politics. Their unwillingness to take an admittedly tough stand against their party’s presidential nominee is a sign, perhaps, that they themselves don’t belong in elected office."

Hey! That's an insult to me!

More lamentations via PM Carpenter:
From "A Very Sad Little Trump:
"One "campaign" associate tells Politico that "many Trump campaign staffers share the party officials' frustrations with Trump’s penchant for self-sabotaging rhetoric." And yet without that rhetoric, what's left? Trump knows nothing about macroeconomics or healthcare or trade or foreign affairs or anything else outside of fleecing vendors and slapping his name on condo buildings (assuming they get built, post-deposits); the man can't even competently deliver prepared, teleprompted remarks on supply-sided ripoffs, for Christ's sake. Take away his self-sabotaging rhetoric and you are left with a stunningly ignorant human chasm.
Oh, you are left with one other thing as well: a pitiable pile of both creeping and creepy self-awareness. Did you listen to his remarks to ministering evangelical thumpers in Orlando yesterday? Good grief, man — man up, I thought as I watched his bereft importuning. He was begging for help, begging these Christian generals to turn out their soldiers on Election Day, because "We're having a problem," has Trump put it. Yes he's having a bit of a problem in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, New Hampshire, even Georgia, Utah, and South Carolina — which is to say, he's looking at a Clinton landslide, and he knows it. So he was begging for help. Not asking — begging, and his begging was a rather worrisome whimpering. He carried himself with such a despondent demeanor I was tempted to call a suicide hotline on the guy. It was pathetic.
Well, Donald, that's what happens when you conduct a presidential campaign without a campaign and substitute vile, self-sabotaging rhetoric for even a semblance of knowledge. The consequences can get you down."
Well, that accounts for all the horseshit the guy spews.
That first quote is rather interesting, and not just because of the "polite, civilized" wingnut twice calling people "fucks". I mean this:
We allow others freedom of choice until their actions repulse us as civilized humans so much that.....
First, there is a "we" that gets to generously "allow" others freedom of choice. I've seen a fair bit of this unthinking arrogance from them. More importantly, the criterion for when those others can no longer be allowed freedom of choice is not when they do harm or interfere with someone else's freedom, but when their actions repulse the privileged wingnut. My feeling uncomfortable with what you do gives me the right to stop you doing it. Very convenient.
More and more I think this election is going to be as epic as Johnson/Goldwater. We'd just absorbed the shock of Hillary being ahead in Georgia, when a poll came out showing her only two points behind in South Carolina. Trump is poised to lose states the Republicans thought they could never lose. And that's before he threatens to invade Antarctica or declares Obama a reptile alien in disguise or whatever he's going to come up with next. He drops at least one clanger a week and there's three months to go.
"We allow others freedom of choice until their actions repulse us as civilized humans so much that..."
That was written by a member of the tribe that insists our freedoms/rights come to us directly from God. They don't believe their own narratives, as is evident by what the "sad person" wrote. The sort of person who wrote that lament will blame the media, the "libtard f**ks," and "crooked Hillary" for Trump's self-inflicted loss. That's easier to do than to do the self-examination needed that would reveal how easily duped they are by charlatans.
Ya wanna hear a sad Story "?
Remember when Trump Said that the story about CNN saying That Secret Service Contacted Trump about What he said about the Second Amendment and Hillary??
Well it seems that he was right it. WAS a fabrication. No such meeting or conversation ever happened , NONE.
He's saying now that he doesn't care if he loses. He's going on a nice long vacation. Too bad for the chumps that supported him. They don't have their own planes.
Any candidate for POTUS with her health issues is concerning. What's up with people who aren't willing to even consider questioning whether she can to handle the rigors of the office? Are they so partisan, so determined to elect another dem president, that they don't care if Hillary dies from stress in office or is unable to do the job? It's creepy.
Kevin,
Wait. What? Trump's saying he doesn't care if he loses? What happened to his promise that he's gonna win? That he's gonna win so much that we'll be sick of winning? How will he face himself after he called Romney a choke for losing the election to Obama in 2012
Laura,
So the score for telling untruths is CNN - 1 tp Trump's -- 2,239.
Speaks the rumors,
When you have facts and evidence, we'll take you seriously. All you and the other trolls pushing this story have is hearsay, rumors, and gossip. IOW, you got nuthin'.
One thing is pretty evident, though, is that Hillary is way healthier in the head than is tRump.
Thanks for the link!
I have seen no actual evidence that Hillary has any significant health problems -- only insinuations.
Obviously, when a Presidential candidate is older, the running-mate choice assumes heightened significance. In Hillary's case, if the absolute worst were to happen, Tim Kaine would become President -- a person who clearly has the temperament and knowledge appropriate to the job. In Trump's case, if he won, we'd have the certainty of a grossly unsuited President from day one.
Also, Trump is older than Hillary and doesn't look especially healthy. If he were to die in office, we'd get Mike "God hates fags" Pence as President. The choice remains an easy one.
It's true that the Presidency is a very stressful job, but Hillary has seen those stresses up close during 1992-2000, and she is the best judge of whether she can handle them.
Are the Trumpeteers going to be sad, or are they going to be mad? I'm talking about rioting or possibly Right-wing terrorist attacks or assassination attempts on president Hillary Clinton (as Trump has called for).
Infidel753: More and more I think this election is going to be as epic as Johnson/Goldwater.
Stephanie Miller has been talking about this on her show. Her father being Goldwater's VP.

From what I've heard Pence is going to be the defacto president if Trump is "elected".
From what I've heard Pence is going to be the defacto president if Trump is "elected".
I kind of assumed that all along. But, will Pence still build the wall? Oh wait, Trump was being sarcastic when he said that, right? Sorry Trumpkins. No wall.
