"I am proud to shut down the government for border security ... I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down. I’m not going to blame you for it." –Donald Trump

Trump's cultists have nothing to say about their idol inciting murder. And why would they? One far right blogger allowed a commenter to incite murder against a sitting president, President Obama.
They and Trump are one and the same: Unhinged, anti-American, and irredeemable.
From Daily Kos:
The FBI announced they’ve arrested a 68-year-old California man for threatening to kill employees at The Boston Globe.
Robert Chain placed numerous threatening calls to the newspaper. Here’s a transcript of one call, via Tom Winter at NBC News:
"You’re the enemy of the people, and we’re going to kill every fucking one of you. Hey, why don’t you call the F, why don’t you call Mueller, maybe he can help you out buddy. Still there faggot? Alright, why, are you going to trace my call? What are you going to do motherfucker? You ain’t gonna do shit. I’m going to shoot you in the fucking head later today, at 4 o’clock. Goodbye. “You’re the enemy of the people.”
Now, where did he hear that from? Donald Trump shamefully spews that line at rallies and on Twitter, even sending it the very same day the FBI announced this arrest.
Here is the POTUS, using language to incite weak-minded people to murder. What other message is he sending when he calls the free press "Enemy of the People?" Just like tyrants and murderers did in totalitarian governments around the world, Trump is doing what they've done when the press or the media report what he says and does. And that is what his idol, V. Putin, has done to journalists in his country.

" I just cannot state strongly enough how totally dishonest much of the Media is. Truth doesn’t matter to them, they only have their hatred & agenda. This includes fake books, which come out about me all the time, always anonymous sources, and are pure fiction. Enemy of the People! 7:11 AM - Aug 30, 2018 77.5K 50K people are talking about this."

via Daily Kos:
Trump spent both Sunday and most of Monday very much not talking about John McCain. After issuing a brief condolence to the senator’s family on Saturday evening, one that included not a word about McCain himself, Trump visibly sneered when reporters tried to get a comment from Trump on Monday.
Trump’s dodging of questions (perhaps he developed a sudden and previously unknown bone spur) stood in stark contrast to both Republican and Democratic lawmakers who appeared both in the Senate chamber and television studios to praise their former colleagues.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump thought that McCain was getting too much attention. And to underline that he couldn’t stand to see anyone else being the focus of the nation,
Trump described the attention being paid to McCain as “over-the-top and more befitting a president.”
But on Monday evening, Trump was finally forced to utter one whole sentence worth of kind words, saying “We very much appreciate everything that Senator McCain has done for our country.” And that was it. Trump’s serving of crow was ultimately small, but gall makes for bitter seasoning, even on a snack.

National Park Service employee tells me they got an email around 10am ordering flags at half staff. Around 2:30pm, email went out cancelling it and saying flag should go back to regular order. And around 5:30, another one went out saying to lower again.

So President Petulant put the flags back at half staff after a firestorm of condemnation came from Democrats, Republicans, and veterans' groups. Trump needed to be spanked by the American people in order to behave like a grown-up. This doesn't change anything, especially the fact that when Donald J. Trump chooses to act alone on his spiteful emotions, he always chooses to do the indecent thing, because he is an indecent human being.
Putting the flags at half staff after having them put up at full staff out of spite doesn't change the fact that DJT is a vindictive worm.
RIP John McCain
Senator John McCain requested that President Barack Obama and President George W. Bush give eulogies at his funeral service. Senator McCain also requested that DJT not be invited to his funeral. When Barbara Bush died, the Bush family did not want trump at her service either.
What does it say about an American president when two important Americans who belonged to his own political party don't want him at their final services?
It says that the current president is a petulant, nasty, spiteful little man who isn't wanted by members of his own party.
What Donald J. Trump and his malignant presidency has sowed, he is now reaping.
I didn't agree with Senator McCain politically, but no one, except a cowardly little worm, can deny that McCain suffered for his country, and for that sacrifice, trump should have acknowledge Senator McCain's service, courage, and patriotism. That DJT didn't only adds to what normal Americans already know about this morally diseased charlatan.
John McCain will be remembered as a national hero.
Donald J. Trump willl be remembered as a national disgrace.
I didn't read Rick Wilson's Tweet before typing the above two sentences. I'm not alone in predicting ignominy for the execrable DJT.
This is how a jealous punk behaves when he knows someone outshone him as a human being. Trump's shitery knows no limit.
This is the definition of a weak, insecure jerk.
When people in the WH leak to *me* about how bad the McCain statement/flag shitshow has become with President Man-Baby, you know it's bad.

In his praise for Manafort, now convicted of multiple felonies but refusing to spill the beans, to his ire with Cohen for a willingness to cooperate, to his absurd claim that turning state’s evidence should be outlawed, Trump acts more like a mob boss than a president.

after a tumultuous and what will be historic week in #45's administration, we should think about this passage from Shakespeare's Macbeth (via Eliot A. Cohen, The Atlantic):
Those he commands move only in command,
Nothing in love. Now does he feel his title
Hang loose about him, like a giant’s robe
Upon a dwarfish thief."
Read the rest of this magnificent piece on the inevitable and ignominious end to Trump and his presidency.
Cohen's lawyer says he's completely flipped and will give information of Trump-linked conspiracy with Russia
Do Trump's cultists still believe this "Russia thing" is a hoax and a big nothingburger?
Asking for a friend.
After 242 years, this is what the world's oldest democracy has come to, thanks to Donald J. Trump:

For US Democrats/Liberals and other patriots keeping track of the Trump Crime Syndicate, here's who's been indicted -- so far:

So many witches, eh?
America should "cleanse" the office of the president by throwing the moral pig who now sits in the Oval Office OUT!
I agree with Senator Graham:
Graham: “So the point I’m trying to make is that you don’t have to be convicted of a crime to lose your job in this Constitutional republic,” Graham said. “If this body determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds … because impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.”

Trump's cultist believe all of these felons and law breakers were exposed by "Deep State." -- not by their own felonious actions. Evidence proves otherwise, yet the Trumpistas do not abandon the Crook in the White House. And one can understand why. Who likes to admit to him or herself that they made an horrendous mistake in backing the known liar and con man, Trump? And who likes to see what is truly in front of his or her nose? Happily, they're only 30% of the voting population -- a distinct minority who will go down in history as the biggest believers of nincompoopery by the biggest liar and charlatan that ever sullied the American presidency.
NOTE: Mr. Mueller hasn't revealed what he knows about Trump the Crook -- yet.
“ 'Lock her up!' Roared at the Republican National Convention and every Donald Trump rally up to the present day, that ferocious chant now has a distinctly ironic ring. Several presidential henchmen who encouraged that ugly smear of Hillary Clinton — still innocent and still free — are on their way to prison. And there is a reason to believe that they will not be the last of the president’s associates, possibly including his kin, to end up behind bars." Joe Conason
"He [Michael Cohen] made the extraordinary admission that he paid a pornographic actress 'at the direction of the candidate,' referring to Mr. Trump, to secure her silence about an affair she said she had with Mr. Trump. Mr. Cohen told a judge in United States District Court in Manhattan that the payment was 'for the principal purpose of influencing the election' for president in 2016. " --Charlie Pierce, Esquire
