42% of the American people want President Spanky impeached.

39% of the American people approve of the job he’s doing.

More Americans want President Spanky impeached than like the job he’s doing!

It's Friday...

I'll be in the great state of Maine for the weekend, but I'll leave you with this thought from Charlie Pierce, because he always speaks truth to power; and, in these times, it is depraved power headed by a degenerate, morally diseased POTUS:

The president* is gleefully indulging in inhumane practices that would shame a cockroach.. His idea of a “compromise” is a bill that keeps families together in detention camps and funds his stupid boondoggle of a wall. He’s going out of his way to snipe at political opponents who already are dead. He is a fool and a coward, and he’s sounding like he’s half-mad.

Pierce, June 22, 2018
"The country’s head is clearing. The country’s vision is coming back into focus and it can see for the first time the length and breadth of the damage it has done to itself. The country is hearing the voices that the cacophony of fear and anger had drowned out for almost three years. The spell, such as it was, and in most places, may be wearing off at last. The hallucinatory effect of a reality-show presidency* is dispersing like a foul, smoky mist over a muddy battlefield.

The migrant crisis is going to go down through history as one of the most destructive series of own-goals in the history of American politics. The establishment of the “zero-tolerance” policy made the child-nabbing inevitable. The president*’s own rhetoric—indeed, the raison d’etre of his entire campaign—trapped him into at first defending the indefensible and then abandoning what was perhaps the only consistent policy idea he ever had—outside of enriching himself and his family, that is. Then the cameras began to roll, and the nation’s gorge began to rise, and the president* couldn’t stand the pressure that was mounting around him.

Of course, because he knows nothing about anything, including how to actually be president*, he bungled even his own abject surrender. He’s spent the days since signing his executive order railing against what he felt compelled to do and arguing against himself and losing anyway. "

Getting away from the horror of the Trump presidency:

I checked several sites, including Snopes, to find out if this is true. It is! WTF???

My friend Vicki wrote this:  · Look—you don’t wear a jacket like this if you don’t intend to send a subliminal, or blatantly overt (for that matter), message. Of all the clothing she has and with all the money she has, she could have worn ANYTHING other than this jacket. This is a big “fuck you” to people who actually care about the issue.

No automatic alt text available.

President Porn Star Shagger said the message on Melania's tasteless jacket is for the "fake" media. FLOTUS wore it on her way to see children held in detention camps. The jacket had no reference to media. FLOTUS appears to be as callous and stupid as her monstrously stupid husband.

How many jackets does the wife of a billionaire own? And why did she wear this one on her way to visit children in her husband's detention camps?

"FACTS ARE STUBBORN THINGS" -- President John Adams

Don't be fooled by what the Porn-Star Shagger-in-Chief did yesterday. Children may not be separated from their families, now, but there's nothing in the E.O. that Trump signed yesterday that makes it permanent. Trump now has made it possible to incarcerate whole familes.

A typical bully, Trump retreated as soon as loud, determined, and strong resistance to his inhumane policy manifested itself and threatened the GOP's chances in the fall elections. I don't believe for one minute that the Porn-Star Shagger-in-Chief cares about the chaos and misery he caused thousands of families. One needs human decency to feel for the families who suffer. We all know that #45 hasn't a drop of human decency in him.

"On Wednesday, Donald Trump signed an executive order to do what he, and every Trump surrogate who appeared on every form of media, spent the previous week insisting that he absolutely could not do—stop separating kids from their parents at the border. But after claiming that breaking up families was ordained of God, beating his chest over the need to enforce The Law, making careful distinctions between his child-stealing and that carried out by the Nazis, and mostly just blaming everything on the Democrats … Trump found that he could change the policy with a stroke of a pen after all."

"But just because Trump signing that executive order was a defeat for Trump—and it was a defeat for Trump—doesn’t make it a victory for immigrant families. Trump still maintains his zero-tolerance policy, and the document decorated with his latest magic-marker contains not even a hint of a limit on executive power. Not even when that power is being used to … separate parents from their kids. The order leaves open the idea that families can still be separated over “concerns,” and unlike the bill that was signed by every Democratic senator, those concerns don’t have to rise to the level of actions that would, in other legal circumstances, lead to the severance of parental rights. In truth, Trump’s executive order declares and preserves his authority to separate families for any reason at all. Or to detain them as a group. What it doesn’t offer is any limit on his power, or hint of judicial or congressional review."

Trump is a lying bastard, a disgrace to America and all her ideals. Never let the American people forget what the Monster Trump did and is doing to thousands of families seeking refuge from muderous regimes in their countries. Never allow the American people to forget the sounds of children crying for their mothers and fathers. Those sobs will haunt every American's conscience and every American will associate children crying out in fear and agony with the Trump administration.

#45's supporters bear responsibility for terrorizing children.

"Stories of children being taken from their parents and images of teenagers in cage-like detention facilities have exploded into a full-blown political crisis for Mr. Trump and Republican lawmakers, who are desperate for a response to critics who have called the practice “inhumane” and “evil.”

Trump acknowledges his policy is wrong!

He lied to the American people when he said it was "the law" and Democrats needed to come to the table to change it. He lied, as he usually does. All that was need to change HIS policy was an executive order.

America and the world looked in horror at what Trump's policy -- not a law -- was doing to babies and children, and forced the monster to end it!

Trump Retreats on Separating Families, Signing Order to Detain Them Together

Migrant Children Drugged Without Consent At Government Centers

Court Documents Show The allegations center on a mental health facility in Texas that has had problems in the past.

Staff working on the behalf of the Office of Refugee Resettlement are routinely drugging detained child migrants with psychotropics without their parents’ consent, according to legal filings.

Trump:   An ill-prepared, incompetent lunatic.

Trump's America: "...the kids — who have no idea where their parents are — were hysterical, crying and acting out."

If this doesn't make your blood turn to ice; if this doesn't make you sick to your stomach, then you're not worthy of being called an American -- you're not even worthy of being called a human being.

What have we become under the monster Trump?

City leaders in Houston, Texas -- HOUSTON! Denounce this inhumane cruelty:

Trump administration officials have been sending babies and other young children forcibly separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border to at least three “tender age” shelters in South Texas, The Associated Press has learned.

Lawyers and medical providers who have visited the Rio Grande Valley shelters described play rooms of crying preschool-age children in crisis. The government also plans to open a fourth shelter to house hundreds of young migrant children in Houston, where city leaders denounced the move Tuesday.

Since the White House announced its zero tolerance policy in early May, more than 2,300 children have been taken from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, resulting in a new influx of young children requiring government care. The government has faced withering critiques over images of some of the children in cages inside U.S. Border Patrol processing stations.

By law, child migrants traveling alone must be sent to facilities run by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services within three days of being detained. The agency then is responsible for placing the children in shelters or foster homes until they are united with a relative or sponsor in the community as they await immigration court hearings.

But U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ announcement last month that the government would criminally prosecute everyone who crosses the U.S.-Mexico border illegally has led to the breakup of hundreds of migrant families and sent a new group of hundreds of young children into the government’s care. The United Nations, some Democratic and Republican lawmakers and religious groups have sharply criticized the policy, calling it inhumane.

Miserable coward! The people supporting Trump and Sessions are worse than miserable cowards. They are traitors to America's ideals. Damn them all!

Damn the inhumane law!

The law, in this case, is a ass! It is immoral! Those who support this immorality are complicit in abusing families and children.

From Daily Kos:

Trump and Republicans are losing on this immigration and child abuse issue. There’s video, audio, pictures. There are five First Ladies. You can’t fight that. Sure, you can dig in. No point in a compassion appeal to someone who lacks the gene, but that’s separate from losing the public, and Trump is losing the public.

Republicans, your cowardly inhumanity will haunt you to your graves.

Quinnipiac: Stop Taking The Kids, 66 Percent Of U.S. Voters Say,

Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Support For Dreamers Is 79 Percent

Tuesday, June 19, 2018

Only 28% of the voting public support Trump's inhuman incarceration of children who've been taken from their parents..

Trump is a monster. Who are the cultists who support this evil?

Michael Moore:

Ah, America! We've gone from separating Indian babies from their parents (and then exterminating them), to stealing babies from their slave parents (and then re-selling them into slavery), to building a country on child labor (working in factories as young as 8-yrs. old), to incarcerating Japanese-American toddlers in internment camps, to allowing priests to sexually abuse children for decades, to forcing buckets of high-fructose corn syrup down kids’ throats until half of them are part of a childhood obesity epidemic, to turning our schools into killing fields because we love our guns more than we love our kids -- who the hell are we kidding?

Stop being shocked and surprised that Trump is kidnapping Hispanic children from their parents as if "this isn't who we are!" Yes, it is. It has ALWAYS been who we are. Don't say Trump is violating "our American values." Abusing children IS an historic American value. Be proud, America -- Trump is us.

Heartless, hellish Goopers have called former First Lady, Laura Bush, "self-righteous" for standing up for children being stuffed in cages and kept from their parents. Imagine that! And those same Goopers pretend to be Christians every Sunday. Damn them for their cruelty in supporting this.

The Gutless Child Abuser: Donald J. Trump

New York Times editorial:

"Watching President Trump blame Democrats for his administration’s inhumane practice of snatching immigrant children from their parents at the border evokes nothing so much as an abusive husband blaming his wife for the beatings he delivers:

Why do you make me do this? I hate doing this! If you’d only be reasonable and listen to me, things wouldn’t have to be this way.

As anyone paying even minimal attention to politics knows, this immoral policy is not “the Democrats fault for being weak and ineffective with Boarder Security and Crime,” to quote one randomly spelled and capitalized tweet out of three to that effect in a little over 12 hours. It’s not really Republicans’ fault, either — at least not yet.

Both the Obama and George W. Bush administrations began efforts to curtail the flow of people across the southern border, but neither went so far as to pursue a “zero tolerance” approach that tore apart families en masse.

Congress has not passed any bills requiring the practice since then. This bit of nastiness belongs entirely to Mr. Trump — he has made a choice to torment undocumented families — and his attempt to pass the buck is dishonest and gutless.

In other words, it’s what we’ve come to expect when Mr. Trump finds himself in an uncomfortable spot."

This is what #45 and his cultists enablers defend:

This little child is #47 in Trump's America. He will be warehoused with other children who've been taken away from their parents.

Trump's Border Patrol Agents Caught Laughting at Children Sobbing for Their Parents

This is Trump's America:

Taking babies and children away from their parents and putting them in cages. Never forget that his supporters are okay with this and justify it with lies.

Charlie Pierce, Esquire Magazine:

"The government* of the United States—the thuggish, dishonest and unfathomably cruel administration* that we elected to run the country—has chosen the history of which it will be a part. It is the history of the auction block, of the state-sponsored kidnapper, of the God-alibi-ed prison, of the rattling cattle cars, headed east. That is the history of which the government, and all the people in it, have chosen to be a part. This includes the people who dreamed up this policy, the people who are enforcing this policy, and anyone who isn’t doing anything to stop it. They will be the defendants in the future proceedings, the villains in the future novels, and the monsters in a thousand future nightmares. We choose the history of which we are a part.

Children Separated From Parents At The Border Heard In Heartbreaking New Audio

An eight-minute audio clip released by ProPublica features a U.S. Border Patrol agent making jokes about an “orchestra” of wailing children.

"ProPublica has obtained audio from inside a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility, audio that demonstrates what a monstrous regime we are now living under.

The desperate sobbing of 10 Central American children, separated from their parents one day last week by immigration authorities at the border, makes for excruciating listening. Many of them sound like they’re crying so hard, they can barely breathe.

They scream “Mami” and “Papá” over and over again, as if those are the only words they know. The baritone voice of a Border Patrol agent booms above the crying.

“Well, we have an orchestra here,” he jokes. “What’s missing is a conductor.”

The audio was recorded by an anonymous source who gave it to civil rights attorney Jennifer Harbury, who works on the Texas border, then shared with ProPublica. Standing out for reporters was a six-year-old girl from El Salvador who has memorized her aunt's phone number, and pleads with everyone she sees.

"My mommy says that I’ll go with my aunt and that she’ll come to pick me up there as quickly as possible." That call finally happens, and the aunt recounts it to ProPublica."

Trump's America: Abusing and Traumatizing Babies and Children

Detaining Migrant Children Has Lifelong Psychological Effects, Experts Say

Where are the Christians who support #45? Do they not see the damage his policies are doing to babies, children, and teens? Do those Christians actually believe this is something their Savior would have taught in his Sermon on the Mount:

"Blessed are the governments who punish babies and children for what their parents do, for those governments are doing God's work?"

None of the so-called "Christian" blogs are talking about this atrocious crime against humanity. They continue to support a so-called president who heaps praise upon a vicious killer while at the same time allows his administration to terrorize families and traumatize children.

I don't believe in a Hell, but if there were one, I would wish that the hideous Trump spend eternity roasting his onions there.

Trump and the Goopers who remain silent while this travesty is in place deserve to be kicked out of the human race.

President Spanky praised a murdering butcher of a dictator, Kim Jong Un, and told the world that our American newspapers and other media are the enemy of the American people.

Happily, a majority of Americans trust the media more than they trust Trump. And the American people, unlike #45, know who the real enemy is.

Pic of the Moment

Trump's Immoral Child Detention Centers

This is Trump's idea of MAGA? Putting babies, toddlers, and children in detention camps after being forceably ripped away from their mothers and fathers?

What kind of monster does this sort of thing?

What is wrong with Trump supporters? They are silent on this atrocity.

Their silence means complicity.

"It may be hard to believe that this is happening in the United States in 2018, that hundreds of children are being snatched from their parents, frequently under false pretenses, often screaming, and placed in vast warehouselike centers like the former Walmart in Brownsville, Tex., where nearly 1,500 boys now spend their days. The parents often don’t know where their children are, or when they will see them again.

In 2014 the Obama administration detained hundreds of families and unaccompanied minors crossing the border, a practice that the federal courts quickly curtailed. But separating families as a matter of unofficial policy is something new and malicious, a function of President Trump’s obsession with undocumented immigrants. This spring, the administration ordered that everyone caught crossing illegally into the United States be prosecuted. And since children cannot accompany grown-ups to jail, people who had crossed illegally with children had their children taken away. Hundreds upon hundreds of children, of all ages, creating a new industry in mass shelters.

The United Nations human rights office called this new practice a serious violation of the rights of children and demanded an immediate halt. Catholic bishops denounced it as immoral. The American Psychological Association warned that the separations threatened the mental and physical health of the children. All to no avail.

The administration has come back with a mix of just-following-orders and falsehoods. The Department of Homeland Security said it had no policy for separating families; it was just catching criminals. President Trump feigned sympathy for the separations but claimed he was the victim of “bad legislation passed by the Democrats,” which nobody could find. Only John Kelly, the White House chief of staff, offered what appeared to be a plausible, if shocking, explanation: that separating parents from their children could be a 'tough deterrent.' ”

Here's what the GOP has sunk to:

Putting children in camps, separated from their families...

this is what Trumpistas call #45's "refreshing" approach to governing:

Journalists have gone in the Children's Shelter.....Say its hell, Full of Trump Murals.

 Jacob Soboroff ✔ @jacobsoboroff

"I’m a part of the first group of journalists to go into the shelter for detained child migrants in Brownsville Texas since the zero tolerance separation policy was announced. 1000+ boys here."

"...finished tour, don’t even know where to start. One of the first things you notice when you walk into the shelter — no joke — a mural of Trump with the quote “sometimes losing a battle you find a new way to win the war.”

Presidential murals everywhere. But that one is 1st. ...............

Moments after we walked in a shelter employee asked us to smile at hundreds of detained migrant kids in line for a meal because “they feel like animals in a cage being looked at.” .....................

This shelter, Casa Padre, is the largest licensed childcare facility of its kind in the country. Nearly 1,500 boys 10-17 in here now. They’re supposed to sleep four to room. Nearly every room has 5. They’ve received a variance from the state because of overcrowding. /......................

Kids here get only two hours a day to be outside in fresh air. One hour of structured time. One hour of free time. The rest of the day is spent inside a former Wal Mart. ..............................

Instructions to employees in the lobby of the shelter if you encounter media:

 1) “Immediatelt notify PD,” or the police department.
 2) Call the shelter communications director. In that order. For the record, nobody called cops on us. We were invited by HHS and the shelter. ......................

This mega-shelter is run by trained staff — a nonprofit. I believe the worker looking after these kids who said she’d like to see a day when they don’t have to do this. But things are moving in the wrong direction — capacity is 1497 and tonight 1469 boys will sleep here. .....................

I have been inside a federal prison and county jails. This place is called a shelter but these kids are incarcerated.

No cells and no cages, and they get to go to classes about American history and watch Moana, but they’re in custody. Coming up on @allinwithchris next. ..................

They have Trump Murals everywhere......he does think he is Kim Jong Un......

This is a concentration camp...or reeducation centre.

#45 salutes a general in Kim Jong Un's murderous regime.

But, hey! At least President Spanky didn't BOW, so for #45's fans, it's all good.

via Daily Kos:

"’d think it would be a no-brainer not to salute a general from a foreign military, one that has been threatening nuclear war with the United States for decades. But, not Trump. And now North Korean state-run television is running this video on repeat. Donald Trump saluting their general, giving him the ultimate legitimacy. What kind of message does that send to the North Koreans who’ve been living under the threat of starvation and firing squads at the hands of this very same general?"

President Trump's unique approach to our American government:

1)  He trashes and humiliates our loyal allies, like Canada;

2)  He praises a murderous butcher of a Communist country;

3)  He takes foreign policy advice from the ex-Communist head of the KGB: (WSJ) Putin Advised Trump To Drop Military Exercises With South Korea;

4)  Trump trashes America's 1st Amendment by demonizing all media that doesn't suck up to him;

5)  He trashes his own DoJ and Attorney General for not sucking up to him like sycophants do in totalitarian countries;

6) Trump's goons have rounded up babies and children, taken them away from their parents, and kept them in holding cages. CAGES!!

 7)  Trump is vulgar, petulant, whiney, a chronic liar, and appallingly ignorant of American history and her Constitution.

His unfortunate supporters find all of this obscene and indecent anti-American behavior "refreshing." Those supporters are not worthy of being called Americans.

A Conservative's Analysis on Kim -- Con's Excellent Adventure

Noah Rothman, co-editor of the conservative leaning Commentary magazine, calls the summit “a disgrace”:

What happened on Monday in Singapore was a disgrace. What was billed as a summit designed to secure a negotiated end to the crisis on the Korean Peninsula—a crisis that the North Korean regime alone inaugurated and aggravates—became Kim Jong-un’s coming-out party.

Kim arrived in Singapore to great fanfare; paparazzi snapped his picture and onlookers called his name like he was a boyband heartthrob. The man who murdered his half-brother, uncle, and ex-girlfriend, among scores more, took selfies with democratic figures and toured the town before the main event: a meeting with the leader of the free world.

Donald Trump, the legitimately elected president of the world’s most powerful free republic, beamed as he pressed the flesh with the warden of the world’s largest prison—a country with an annual GDP comparable to that of Eugene, Oregon. They dined together on short rib confit and soy-braised codfish—a Korean favorite, in deference to Kim.

Trump said it was “my honor” to greet Kim, who is a “very talented man.” “We have a terrific relationship,” he added. They took photographs before a backdrop of American and North Korean flags.

It was a scene suggestive of a relationship between equals, which is something Americans with a cursory understanding of history and a functioning moral compass have previously denied the Kim dynasty.

 Read the full piece here.

Go read Infidel753's excellent analysis on the Singapore Summit.

ex-US Ambassador to North Korea Chris Hill on summit outcome: “Forgettable. joint statement weaker than any previous one since 1992. There is no way forward, no roadmap, no diplomatic strategy.”

Make no mistake about it, the fact is this was a huge propaganda victory for North Korea and Kim Jong Un. And the same folks who are celebrating this degradation of the American flag are the ones who beat up on Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during anthem. Sad.

The Singapore summit statement is essentially aspirational: no definitions of denuclearization, no timelines, no details as to verification. What is most troubling about all this is that the US gave up something tangible, namely, US-RoK military exercises, in exchange.

Claims of achievements from this summit are nonsensical. Trump got nothing except empty promises. Kim Jong Un achieved global standing for his evil regime and got military exercises cancelled. The sycophantic panting and exultations across the GOP and Trump media are delusional
