QUITTER, SARAH PALIN, HAS ANOTHER WRETCHED BOOK GHOST WRITTEN FOR HER

UPDATE BELOW.

And she's whining about the leaked excerpts, asking "is that legal?'

Ms. Palin, we know you don't write your own books, so we're not surprised you know nothing about Fair Use, so, no, it's not illegal.

Perhaps you could hire a ghost-googler?

But the passage from her newest ghost-written fluff that was especially revealing, so excruciatingly non-self-aware, was the one about American Idol where Palin describes the talentless competitors as deluded victims of  the cult of self-esteem (does this remind us of anything?).  Palin goes on to say these self-esteem enhanced, but talent-deprived people eventually learn the truth after they've embarrassed themselves (and their families, eh, Sarah?); and in the wider world, these instances of hard truths are increasingly rare. (Oh, yes, we know.)

Sarah, perhaps you need to remove your myopic glasses and look in your own Mama Grizzly backyard for elucidation on this theme?

Later in the book, Mama Grizzly goes after Michelle Obama, who has never said an unkind word about Palin.

"...when the First Lady was asked about Palin, she did not take the bait, but instead, had only nice things to say about the former Governor of Alaska. It seems that Palin did not feel like returning the gesture of civility."
The Pitbull with Lipstick apparently believes Mrs. Obama is a threat to her plan for being the next president of the United States, so she dredges up a half-quote that the FLOTUS said during the 2008 campaign, takes it out of context, and inexplicably attacks Mrs. Obama over it.  If I weren't such a nice person, I'd call that low-class, bitchiness in the extreme and unbecoming of a decent human being, but I won't.

This is the actual quote spoken by Michelle Obama:

"What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something–for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction, and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I’ve seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it’s made me proud."

And this is how Palin distorts and takes the quote out of contents, suggesting that Mrs. Obama, who has more class in her gorgeously toned arms than Palin has in her entire body, including her hair extensions, does not love her country:

"Certainly his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections. In retrospect, I guess this shouldn’t surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church listening to his rants against America and white people."

Palin's the first to cry foul and stamp her foot when anyone criticizes her or her family, but is not shy about attacking and calling into question the patriotism of a woman she's never met, never spoken to, and who has never attacked her.

Palin's idiotic and childish label "lamestream media" applies to the media only when they speak critically of her or members of her family, whom she encourages and supports in their pursuit of meaningless trophies for their talentless performances in teevee dance contests.  In that instance, she has no problem with media coverage of her family so long as it brings her publicity and money.

Her complaints about media intrusion in her life are absurd when she willingly invites that intrusion by way of starring in a reality teevee program about Alaska and her family.

Spare us your indignation, lady.  We're on to you and your misguided ambitions.

UPDATE:  The long knives are out for you, Palin.  In addition to the former First Lady, Barbara Bush, and prominent conservative pundits (Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, David Frum, etc.), Mona Charen has stated her opinion that you're too stupid to be president.  Oh, my!

"A conservative columnist whose bonafides include a stint at the National Review and a speechwriting gig for former first lady Nancy Reagan has slammed Sarah Palin, calling the former half-term governor "consumed and obsessed by the media."

Writing on the self-described "conservative" Townhall.com, columnist Mona Charen blasted Palin for her lack of experience:

Palin was advised by those who admire her natural gifts to bone up on policy and devote herself to governing Alaska successfully. Instead, she quit her job as governor after two and a half years, published a book (another is due next week), and seemed to chase money and empty celebrity.

Charen questioned the would-be candidate's eagerness to engage in even the smallest of spats:

She should be presiding over meetings on oil and gas leases in the North Slope, or devising alternatives to Obamacare. Every public spat with Dave Letterman or Politico, or the "lamestream media," or God help us, Levi Johnston, diminishes her.

Charen's doubts about Palin include her judgment and possibly her parenting:

Perhaps the former governor should not be blamed for the decisions of her adult daughter. Yet there in the audience we see Sarah and Todd Palin, mugging for the camera and cheering on their unwed-mother daughter as she bumps and grinds to the tune of "Mamma Told Me (Not to Come)." Her parents had advised her, the 20-year-old Bristol told an interviewer, that she had to stay "in character" if she expected to win. Being "in character" apparently meant descending to the vulgarity that "DWTS" peddles on a weekly basis. The momma grizzly was apparently unfazed by -- or, equally disturbing, unaware of -- the indignity. And this is supposed to be a conservative culture warrior?"

Hello, Mona?  You're just waking up to this blatantly evident truth about Sarah?  Oh, we get it.  Now that Sarah has come within an inch of declaring her run for the presidency, you pundits on the Right are going all wobbly over the cataclysmic embarrassment this absurdity will bring to the GOP.  And you've figured this out about Palin just now?

I can send you a copy of the email if youu like.....

I wouldn't waste a moment reading or watching or listening to anything Mrs. Palin has to say. She is an attention whore without any concept of civility.

UGH!!!! i can't believe that woman criticizes anyone, she truly needs to take her glasses off and look in the mirror! What a bunch of crap this book is....

okjimm,

Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass. There's nothing in the book that I've read in the excerpts that remotely interests me--except to get a good belly laugh.

BTW, welcome. Hope you drop by again.

Charlene,

Her attack on the FLOTUS was crass and beneath contempt. She has yet to demonstrate any aptitude for grasping complex issues or even a willingness to sit down and discuss in concrete terms what the pressing issues of the day are.

She has never done and never will because she lacks the intellect to do so.

She's good at riling up the base and giving them red meat. But not much else.

Sue,

She's like a mosquito, annoying, but easily swatted away.

Wow, I am truly amazed by her ability to not look at herself and her own family in their attempt to fleece the public of their Time and indeed their money. I feel sorry for those who follow her, it's like the blind sheep being led by the Dumb and Blind Sarah.

Leslie Parsley said...

Hope you put this on FB so it can be shared. She's a tramp. She's a dumb tramp. Shallow and classless. Thank you insane McCane. Don't these people have to go through some kind of psychological testing before being selected for a high office?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Hi Teeluck,

Sadly, those who admire her are blind to her extreme lack of qualifications to be anything more than a reality teevee hostess.

tnlib,

I just posted The Magic Flute link, and I don't want to pollute it just now with anything Palin. LOL!

But I will, at some point, put it on fb.

Lets just pretend she doesn't exist....

Out of sight out of mind...

Shaw Kenawe said...

TAO,

She exists, is worshipped by people who have the ability to make her a player in serious political gamesmanship, and by her own words is considering a run for the US presidency.

Pretending she doesn't exist won't make her go away.

The more we expose the fraud for what she is, the less chance she has of gaining any political office.

I don't believe she has any hope of winning the presidency, but she could be a third party candidate and draw votes away from the serious GOP candidate in 2012.

Everyone with an intellect sees her for the fraud that she is and the fake Mama Grizzly she imagines herself to be.

Allowing her unfortunate unwed daughter to bump and grind and make a fool of herself on DWTS is appalling, and in such hideous taste as to make one wonder what the hell Todd and Sarah were thinking in suggesting that would be a grand idea for Bristol.

The both of them are without any sense or sensibility.

Ugh!

Well, even GW Bush thinks Palin is unqualified to be president (hello, Pot? This is Kettle...)

dmarks said...

Bush was a two-term governor of one of the largest states in the nation. Sure, he wasn't qualified if you happen to be one of those who based qualifications on whether or not someone has an R or D after their name.

If Bush wasn't qualified, then former Gov. Clinton was much less so.

Leslie Parsley said...

Back to Palin. You can't ignore her because even the MSM reports every thing she does, down to her inane twits. She's just stupid enough to run as a third party candidate and I think it would be wonderful. Not only would she take votes away from the GOP but after her loss her house of cards will collapse. And maybe, just maybe, we won't have to hear about her.

I thought the way she put her kids on display during the campaign was tacky at best and bad parenting at worst. Her ego is obviously more important to her than the well-being of her children.

TAO said...

Oh, lets put Palin in perspective...

She got a few house members elected to office. But when it came to senate candidates, people who had to appeal to a broader base of voters not one of her candidates got elected.

Even with her support in Alaska Joe Miller could not win. Besides Sarah Palin has a bigger problem than the noise we make and that is that Karl Rove is out to get her...

She has her base and not much else...

After all that she has done she has only been able to turn it into 12 million dollars....

That really isn't a whole lot considering that Fox News is pitching in and her PAC's are buying up her books and speeches to repackage like crazy...

She has alot of fans but they really aren't supporters....they don't want to put their money where their mouth is.

One of Sarah Palin's problems is that she wants to be a pop culture figure and at the same time be taken seriously as a political player. Everyone except for the Palinbots can see that she needs to educate herself on things like foreign policy before she can even think about running for POTUS. Instead of laying out specifics in regards to policy, what Palin normally does is rely on substance-free phrases/slogans ("common sense solutions" and "The Mama Grizzlies") or cutesy one-liners ("the lamestream media"). Of course, her clueless base eats this up.

Sarah would do well to forget any political aspirations and just concentrate on making money. Fortunately for the Democrats, I don't think her ego will allow her to fade off into the political sunset.

we liberals MUST keep talking about that woman BECAUSE she doesn't have plans to vanish anytime soon! It's our duty to keep the country informed that the moron section of our electorate actually believes Palin could be president.

Clinton as well as Obama are highly intelligent men and both highly qualified to be president. See, this is what the righties don't get. Just because a person was governor does not mean they are smart, it just means morons voted them into office!

Excellent piece by Frank Rich in the NY Times today.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/21/opinion/21rich.html?_r=1&ref=opinion

Rich writes:

"It’s anti-elitism that most defines angry populism in this moment, and, as David Frum, another Bush alumnus (and Palin critic), has pointed out, populist rage on the right is aimed at the educated, not the wealthy. The Bushies and Noonans and dwindling retro-moderate Republicans are no less loathed by Palinistas and their Tea Party fellow travelers than is Obama’s Ivy League White House. When Palin mocks her G.O.P. establishment critics as tortured, paranoid, sleazy and a “good-old-boys club,” she pays no penalty for doing so. The more condescending the attacks on her, the more she thrives. This same dynamic is also working for her daughter Bristol, who week after week has received low scores and patronizing dismissals from the professional judges on “Dancing with the Stars” only to be rescued by populist masses voting at home."

Palin isn't going away anytime soon. And unless Americans get off their complacent a**es she might well be elected President in 2012.

Her crowd is committed.

How about ours?

Jolly Roger said...

Mama Grifter is doing what she intended to do; dog-whisling her "base" of racist off-products of siblings. That way the cash will continue to roll in.

Shaw Kenawe said...

@Arthurstone and Frank Rich's column:

The same phenomenon of cheering on and being proud of the inept is at work vis-a-vis Bristol Palin on DWTS as it has been on mother Sarah.

The crowd that supports the two of them has no regard for the fact that neither of them are qualified--Bristol is a graceless plodder--at least the video clip attests to that (I've never seen the show), and mother Sarah has no more qualifications to be president than does a empty-headed talk show host.

It doesn't matter to their fans. In voting for and polling for both women, the base is voting for itself and its own inadequacies as a way of showing America, and the world, that appearance and fame are what counts--talent and knowledge be damned.

It's wildly dishonest and irresponsible, but in this narcissistic era, who cares?

From Josh Marshall's Talking Points Memo blog:

The new Quinnipiac poll shows Sarah Palin holding a narrow plurality among Republicans across the country for the party's presidential nomination in 2012. And at the same time, the poll makes clear that while President Obama is vulnerable in a closely-divided country, Palin would be the GOP's worst possible nominee for the general election race.

Among Republicans and GOP-leaners: Palin 19%, Romney 18%, Huckabee 17%, Gingrich 15%. Bringing up the rear are Tim Pawlenty at 6%, Haley Barbour 2%, Mitch Daniels 2%, and John Thune 2%. The Republican primary poll has a ±3.1% margin of error.

And for the national match-ups against Obama:

• Obama leads Palin by 48%-40%

• Romney edges Obama by 45%-44%.

• Obama edges Huckabee by 46%-44%.

• Obama leads the lesser-known Daniels by 45%-36%.

Let's see.

Obama: tending to the global economy, national priorities, two wars, etc.

Palin: tending to reality TV, self-promotion, making money, etc.

Clearly Sarah believes holding the most powerful job in the world is just a matter of being really, really popular.
