Four Marines, gunman dead in Tenn. attack

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A gunman unleashed a barrage of fire at a recruiting center and another US military site a few miles apart in Chattanooga on Thursday, killing at least four Marines, officials said. The attacker was also killed. US Attorney Bill Killian said officials were investigating the possibility it was ‘‘domestic terrorism.’’ FBI agent Ed Reinhold said authorities were still trying to establish a motive.

Springfield native was among four U.S. Marines killed in Tennessee

Thomas Sullivan had served two tours in Iraq and earned a Purple Heart.

We have family members who are serving in the military.  Our hearts go out to the families of the Marines who lost their lives today in this horrible attack.
