Wednesday is Trump Hump Day!

I'm going to try to stick to posting about "Il Donald" on Wednesdays, otherwise known as "hump day."

Here are some of the Trumpet's latest endorsements on his candidacy for the presidency:

Ex-KKK leader David Duke backs Donald Trump: ‘He understands the real sentiment of America’

Trump's got the former leader of the American terrorist group, the Ku Klux Klan, endorsing him! And who's surprised? The same people who support Trump are the same people who insist that President Obama is a secret member of the Muslim Brotherhood. So now their guy gets the full support and admiration from our very own U.S. terrorist organization.  Will we hear the TGOPers' disgust and outrage?

I'm going to guess that the hypocrites who falsely accused President Obama of being part of the Muslim Brotherhood will say nothing. Ammirite?

Il Donald is on a roll!

Popular Neo-Nazi White Supremacy Group Endorses Trump for President

To no one’s surprise, America’s most popular neo-Nazi website, the Daily Stormer, has officially announced its support for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Predictably, the endorsement praised the numerous racist statements in Trump’s announcement video, especially his “willingness to call [Mexicans] out as criminal rapists, murderers, and drug dealers.”

So there it is. The darling of the TeaPublican Party has attracted the support and admiration of a former leader of America's very own terrorist organization, the KKK, and also of a white supremacist group.

What do you suppose it is about Il Donald  that has attracted these organizations to him?

The Trumpet continued with his misogynistic attacks on FAUX NOOZ pundit, Megan Kelly:

Donald Trump's new Twitter tirade against Megyn Kelly

The Trumpet continued in his quest to alienate the Hispanic vote, and he's doing a GREAT job:

Donald Trump Kicks Jorge Ramos Out Of Press Conference"Go back to Univision."

This is just the sort of temperament the TeaPublicans admire in a presidential candidate -- a loutish, insulting bully who'll promise them everything and deliver nothing, except "I'm gonna be great!"

And to round Trump Hump Day off, we present Il Donald's "classy" 3rd wife who, if Trump gets the TeaPublican nomination and wins the presidency, would be America's first T&A FLOTUS, showing off to America and the world her considerable assets!

The TeaGOP's ideal for a FLOTUS!  How tres, tres French!

But...but...Michelle Obama bared her arms in an official photo!!!!11!

Continuing with coverage of Trump on Trump Hump Day:

NEW YORK (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump repeated his claim Tuesday evening that he would stop eating Oreos, citing the cookie maker's decision to close a plant in Chicago and move it to Mexico. "I'm never eating Oreos again," Trump said, before adding that he would consider it if he could find some that were made in the U.S.

Il Donald, speaking like a a junior high school mean girl:

I can’t help but conclude this is Trumpian planned chaos by right wingers who enjoy tribalism for the opportunities for power, money and control it brings them.

What other explanation is there for an idiot like Trump to have captured the soul of the Republican Party?

His plan to send the 11 million undocumented people back to Mexico (they're not all from Mexico, btw) would cost the country have a trillion dollars, not to mention that the plan would be the largest displacement of human beings in the history of the planet. But Trump's followers aren't interested in details of his plan, just let them hear "I'm gonna be great, I'll let the good ones back in." And they're happy with that simple-minded plan and that's because they're simpled minded themselves.

A couple of things that went down the memory hole:

"Senate Republicans didn’t stand in the way of passing a comprehensive immigration reform bill in 2013. In fact, more than a dozen Republican senators voted for the bill, giving it a good deal of bipartisan support. House Republicans, however, wanted nothing to do with the bill and let it die.

Among the candidates for president who supported immigration reform, including chiefly Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush, they now believe that it’s a total political loser for them and that Trump’s position is too strong to really challenge.

And Trump is going beyond self-deportation to actually talking about forcible deportation. And tonight he had Jorge Ramos (the Walter Cronkite of Spanish-language news) forcibly deported from his press conference in Iowa.

While Trump did invite Ramos back and attempted to answer his questions, the damage was done."

In fairness, I too thought Ramos was out of line. You cannot just start shouting questions in the middle of a presser... maybe at the end, ala Sam Donaldson, but not in the middle.

He got what he deserved for being rude. It is what would have happened anywhere, with anyone in that type of situation.

Ramos, while a good journalist, let his passion for an issue get in the way this time.

As for Trump and Hump Wednesday's, isn't it hard to cram all of the weekly material into one blog post?

Dave,

I didn't watch the presser, so I didn't know why Ramos was thrown out. But couldn't Trump have handled it in a more presidential way? Like this?

"As for Trump and Hump Wednesday's, isn't it hard to cram all of the weekly material into one blog post?"

If I blogged about Trump's outrageous behavior and statements as they present themselves, I'd be blogging about him every day all day, and I'd have to change the name of my blog to "Progressive Trump Eruptions."

‘When people treat me unfairly, I don’t let them forget’

Just the kind of disposition you'd want in a world leader whose finger is on the nuclear button, and the sort of president that would want to crush like a bug anyone who disagrees or crosses him. Read the far right blogs and see how that mentality rules their vindictive hearts.

"Progressive Trump Eruptions."

Hm, sounds a bit risque to me. :-)

Ramos was not asking a question he was making a speech. In Trump's defense he asked very nicely several times to for Ramos to wait his turn whereby Ramos kept at it.

You admit you didn't see it yet you compare what Trump did to what obama did, nice move.

This looks interesting

"Jared Taylor, the editor of American Renaissance, a white-nationalist magazine and Web site based in Oakton, Virginia, told me, in regard to Trump, “I’m sure he would repudiate any association with people like me, but his support comes from people who are more like me than he might like to admit.”"

It's operating under the guise of a populist movement.
I am quite certain that La Trump does not really care to be president. Too restrictive for a "wheeler dealer" like La Trump. But he certainly sees a chance to be the king maker and use this undercurrent of immigrant hatred to his advantage.

I didn't compare the two incidents. What I said was that if Trump had any class, he would have handled it the way Mr. Obama did, when a rude heckler interrupted him.

Ducky,

That New Yorker piece was fantastic. How much longer will Il Donald ride the wave of discontent, half-truths, and outright lies? Who knows? But it appears that a certain segment of our population is quite open to the idea of having a short-fingered vulgarian as their president.

I'm listening to hannity and levin tonight talking about trump and Ramos among other things. They're both nuts (especially levin) and clearly speak for the wacky of the wacky.

Why is Trump leading the GOP candidates? Some analysts believe it's because his constituency, older, less educated whites, are fearful of the changes they see happening in this country and don't like the idea of the browning of the American population. Trump taps into their fears and ignorance. These people feel tired of being ignored, lectured and talked down to. What that really means is that Trump's followers are in competition with other Americans who don't look like them, they believe when people point out facts, that's being "lectured and talked down to." No one can "talk down" to you unless you already feel inadequate, and Trump's fans have a lot to feel inadequate about. Trump picks up on that to his advantage and to the GOP's disadvantage. Trump's ideas for repealing the 14th amendment and his 11 million deportation plans are clearly nutty, but those ideas make the minority of GOPers who support him feel powerful again.
