It’s Been 6 1/2 Years Obama – Where’s The FEMA Camps, Sharia Law, Suspension of the Constitution?
"...here are three,,,allegations, myths, lies regarding the Obama agenda that have failed to come true in spite of the 6+ years Obama has been in office.
FEMA Camps
The rumor of the wide-spread detention of gun-toting, God-loving Americans being placed, by the millions, into FEMA camps has been around for years now. Late last year, Morgan Brittany, actress and host of conservative online show PolitiChicks, won a gold star for her assertion that “the Obama administration has ‘orchestrated’ Ebola and other crises in order to declare ‘martial law’ and seize everyone’s guns,”
Islamic/Sharia Law
Our favorite rumor regarding Obama’s plans to impose Islamic/Sharia law on the United States comes from an interview last year with Jim Garrow. As Right-Wing Watch reported last February, in an interview with “The Rundown," right-wing huckster Jim Garrow cited the completely bogus conspiracy theory that Obamacare is paving the way for legal decapitation by guillotine, which he claims is part of President Obama’s plan to impose Islamic law on America.”
Martial Law
We have heard for years about the imminent suspension of the Constitution and the imposition of martial law. In spite of the obvious absurdity of such claims, there are those who go much further than that. One such example can be found, yet again, with insane Jim Garrow. The story begins with a Facebook post from January 2013 in which he claimed that Obama is purging military leadership of anyone unwilling to fire on U.S. citizens.
I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new “litmus test” in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. “The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not”. Those who will not are being removed. – Dr. Jim Garrow – January 21, 2013
Needless to remind everyone, but I will, that the people who eat up these conspiracy theories are the same people who support Donald Trump.
Also the woman, Kim Davis, who tried to impose her brand of Christianity on gay couples seeking marriage licenses in Kentucky apparently doesn't understand that disobeying the law carries consequences. If her deeply held religious beliefs prevent her from carrying out the duties under the law that she swore to uphold, then she should resign and find other work.
We are a secular nation under secular laws. Those who support Davis would never accept, say, a devout Muslim woman in the same position who refused to issue a marriage license to a couple if the woman was not wearing a hijab, would they? They would never accept a devout, anti-gun religionist refusing to sell a firearm to someone. Would they not tell that person to find other work because Second Amendment!
Marriage equality is the law of the land, Davis and her fellow religionists don't understand that the United States is a secular nation that protects all religions, and not just her brand of Christianity. Her, and especially Mike Huckabee's, argument is invalid.

A lot of people in the Tea Party can be fooled all of the time. Trump has proved that for the past three months. Wasn't there a study done that showed the lower your intelligence the more likely you are to support Trump? Sounds logical to me.
The continued willingness of these rabble-rousers' rabble to be roused by predictions of an Islamo-FEMA-gay dictatorship now signals nothing but their own gullibility.
But gullible they are. This bullshit has been good for six and a half years of audience share and revenue for the rabble-rousers, and they're going to keep milking it as long as they can. When Obama finally steps down on January 20, 2017, with still not a sign of guillotines or mass gun confiscations on the horizon, they'll claim he was just lulling everybody into a false sense of security so Hillary could swoop in and finally do it all.
There has actually been a recent Muslim case somewhat analogous to Kim Davis, and no, Huckabee for one is not supporting her.
Fear and anger make people react irrationally. Add in stupidity and you have Trump supporters.
Don't worry it's all coming after the autocoup.
There obviously are individuals with higher intelligence supporting Trump. Washington is a joke, has been for some time and many people are just plain sick and tired of business as usual. Trump is everything some people see as the solution; Anti Washington Establishment. And they view Clinton as both an insider as well as dishonest. Trump may get the nomination and if he does he may have a shot at taking the general. Egads, what a revolting possibility!.
After the last presidential election Bobby Jindal said that the GOP had to stop being the Stupid Party. The GOP ignored him, and now they have a bloviating ignoramus leading the GOP polls. If the Democrats prayed for a preening charlatan to make the GOP look foolish, they couldn't have come up with a more loud-mouthed jerk than Trump. He's a godsend to the Democratic Party. Keep going Donald! We love that the GOP is backing you!
"Wasn't there a study done that showed the lower your intelligence the more likely you are to support Trump? Sounds logical to me."
Titan, I read that somewhere, too, but as RN pointed out not all Trump supporters are irrational dweebs, some can actually walk and chew gum at the same time. What attracts them to a father who lusts after his daughter? Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of desperate men. Yeah. People are angry and fed up with Washington pols. That's nothing new. At every presidential election we hear about how some big shot pol is going to change Washington. It's a tired old meme to get folks up off their duffs and vote. You can't change Washington unless you know how to work it politically and unless you know how to use power effectively. Trump brags he can make deals. His fans say he's a great businessman. Well a country isn't a business. We the people are NOT the president's employees, the president works for us. Trump doesn't understand this basic part of our political system. He's been bragging about all he's going to do, without explaining how he'll get Congress and the SCOTUS working with him. A president is not a CEO.
Infidel753, the natives in the TGOP are restless and fired up over this guy, Trump is basically is another Herman Cain except with $$$$ to finance this debacle and instead of having a train load of women he boinked, Trump talks about how he'd like to date his daughter if only he wasn't her dad. (throwing up a little in my mouth.)
Jerry,
Fear, anger, and stupidity. Didn't Bobby Jindal say something about that and the TGOP?
Kevin,
Yes, the TGOP has been predicting the autocoup for 6 1/2 years, even an auto de fe because Barack HUSSEIN Obama is the anti-Christ. He lives at 666 Pennsylvania Avenue, don't you know.
RN, Richard Nixon was definitely an insider, and lots of people didn't trust him either. Remember "Tricky Dicky?" And "would you buy a used car from this man?" He got elected to the presidency. People being fed up with politics is as old as the Jefferson/Adams campaign. Now talk about insiders!
Anonymous, Trump is always good for a belly laugh. He's riding high on his ego and the adoration of people who apparently have been sitting on their brains for too long.
Who doesn't love to see Republicans eating their own?
"Louisiana's governor, an underdog in the race for the GOP nomination, didn't pull any punches, and his attacks on Trump, a billionaire New York real estate mogul and reality television star, went beyond the ideological.
Jindal called Trump "egomaniacal," "unserious," "full of bluster" and lacking the "intellectual curiosity to even learn."
Jindal, who is 13th in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings, kept the attacks going after his speech concluded.
"He's a dangerous man. Any candidate, any individual out there enabling Donald Trump is making a serious mistake," Jindal said, responding to questions. "We need to stand up to the D.C. establishment; we also need to stand up to this narcissist."
I guess Bobby doesn't believe in Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment! Hahahahahahaha!
Years from now, when we remind far-right fanatics that none of these catastrophes came to pass, they'll just deny that they ever brought them up. That's usually how it works.
True Shaw,, but that aside Jefferson and Adams had more intellect and reason than any politcian alive today. IMNHO.
Regarding Trump and his belligerence: Rudeness is a weak person's imitation of strength.
All the feckless people on far right blogs who champion Trump are in fact supporting him because for the most part they're powerless eunuchs. They think they will gain power through a billionaire clown, he gives them hope that their brand of juvenile name-calling and preening stupidity will make them important again.Trump appeals to the worst in our country and the worst in the GOP.
These are the same people who get all their info from Fox "News" and shout radio and Breitbart, so naturally they will believe literally anything.
well, I do like the Death Panels.....I think I only need four sheets of the stuff to re-do the den walls.
Silly Shaw. You know he canned the FEMA camp idea in favor of an ebola plague.
Or maybe the crafty devil planned on using the FEMA camps for a mass quarantine.
It's so hard to keep up.
Anonymous: "...so naturally they will believe literally anything."
Yes. They believe Donald Trump would be a great president.
okjimm, Death Panels for a den wall? I thought you'd go for the beer panels.
Ducky, I've also read that many of them believe Mr. Obama will cancel the 2016 elections and then grab for an illegal 3rd term.
Cancel the 2016 election? No. He will nullify the election if a republican win only. :)
It's not just Tea Partiers. A lot of people believe this stuff because of a corrupt government. They don't blame Obama, they just believe in the inevitability of martial law because of the Illuminati or whatever other secret organizations that they claim rule the world.
I have a friend (we're both black) who is constantly afraid of FEMA camps, guillotines, coffins, etc. I ask him simple questions like....If they're going to kill us all, why would they bother with guillotines when bullets are so much cheaper? If they're going to kill us all, do you really think we're going to get proper burials in coffins, wouldn't mass graves be more expedient?
I try to explain to him that there's no need to roundup a population who can be jailed over a parking ticket. We've already surrendered. But then he counters that it's all about the battle over world resources and population elimination.
At any rate, just know that there are whole segments who don't believe this stuff "because Obama." They believe it "because fear" and a government that allows police to assault and kill black people at will.
