"2017"

"The voice from the telescreen was still pouring forth its tale of prisoners and booty and slaughter, but the shouting outside had died down a little. The waiters were turning back to their work. One of them approached with the gin bottle. Winston, sitting in a blissful dream, paid no attention as his glass was filled up. He was not running or cheering any longer. He was back in the Ministry of Love, with everything forgiven, his soul white as snow. He was in the public dock, confessing everything, implicating everybody. He was walking down the white-tiled corridor, with the feeling of walking in sunlight, and an armed guard at his back. The long hoped-for bullet was entering his brain.

"He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother."

--George Orwell, "1984"

Good Morning. Just Another Day in Trump World

This is Trump's gift to America

Vandals turned a Jewish family’s menorah into a swastika

When Naomi and Seth Ellis’s young sons said that they wanted lights on their house in Chandler, Ariz., like all their neighbors’ Christmas decorations, the parents knew what to tell their three Jewish boys: Yes. One trip to Lowe’s, $100 worth of PVC pipe, nine solar-powered lights and a coat of shiny gold paint later, the Ellises had a shining 7-foot-tall Hanukkah menorah on their lawn.

But on Friday morning, the Ellises had something new to tell their boys, and they weren’t sure how to say it. After the boys went to bed on the sixth night of Hanukkah, someone dismantled their special menorah and turned it into a giant swastika.

Happy New Year?

Where's the happiness in ringing in a Trump Year that emboldens neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and the KKK?

Where's the happiness in reading Tweets from a traitorous "President-elect" who praises a foreign leader of a country hostile to America over America's POTUS?

Trump did have the option of keeping his fingers to himself and not showing America and the rest of the world what a sick, narcissistic quisling he is.

Atrocious:

Lucky duckies. You could have bought tickets to the Grabber-elect's New Year's Eve party at Mar-a-Lago!

All those who wish to curry favor and fill the Trump Empire's coffers are being charged more than $500 a piece to help Trump ring in the New Year with as many sycophants as money can buy.

"The Trump transition team did not respond to HuffPost queries about the cost of the tickets and whether the president-elect is concerned about any conflicts of interest the party could generate."

Happy New Year?  Let the Trumpian greed and grifting begin!

Final note:

Here's the Tweet from our mentally immature Pussy-grabber-elect.  This is a taunt one would expect from a 7th grade school yard bully.  This is your future president, America.

Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. Love!

Trump Sides With A Foreign Hostile Power Against The United States of America

Dear sweet Jeebus.

I never thought I'd see the day when an incoming American president would take the side of a foreign leader's reaction to sanctions for interfering in our presidential election and at the same time denigrate our own American president.

In fact, that's what Trump did today. He praised the ex-head of the Communist KGB as "smart," and slandered the United States of America by doing so. Some people would call that madness. I call it treasonous.

The Russians must have gawd-knows what sort of intelligence on Trump to make him say such an unprecedented statement against the United States of America.

Think about that. The in-coming president-elect just slandered the United States of America in favor of a Russian thug and murderer.

President-elect Donald Trump made a stark departure from members of his own party Thursday by praising Russian President Vladimir Putin for his response to U.S. sanctions against the country.

Trump hailed Putin's decision not to respond to the Obama administration's measures -- meant to counter cyberattacks against the U.S. government and Democratic officials -- as a "great move," adding, "I always knew he was very smart!"

Trump 'pinned' the tweet to remain at the top of his Twitter feed and even received an approving retweet from the Russian Embassy in the United States' Twitter account.

The tweet follows a two-sentence statement Thursday night reacting to the sanctions, where Trump repeated his call for the country to "move on" while agreeing to meet with intelligence agencies next week for a full briefing.

GOP Operative Rick Wilson Slams Trump and His ‘Ball-Washers’: ‘Their Allegiance Is to Putin’

rick wilsonRepublican operative Rick Wilson went on an extended Twitter rant late Thursday in reaction to the news that Donald Trump was still defending Russia’s alleged hacking during the 2016 election, openly accusing the president-elect of being a pawn of Vladimir Putin.
1/ In the course of the 2016 campaign I don't know how many times I was called a traitor to America for not supporting Trump.
2/ Of course, these intellectual giants never bothered to understand the specific definition of treason. All opposition to Trump was treason
3/ What's closer to treason? Political opposition to a candidate, or siding with a hostile foreign power in the Intel war?
4/ Make no mistake; Trump and his lackeys, ball-washers and toadies today clearly demonstrated their allegiance is to Putin.
5/ This wasn't Obama playing a game. This was him responding to the IC's rising certainty and fury at the extent of Russia's meddling.
6/ Trump is getting sworn in. He's going to be President. If you are more concerned that his wittle feels are hurt that the truth of...
7/ RUS intel services and leadership wanted Trump, hacked to help Trump, and have deep ties to him and his team then you're the ones...
8/ flirting with disloyalty to the security of this country well beyond a political disagreement.
9/ You believe in absurd, baroque conspiracy horseshit like Pizzagate, but can't conceive RUS leaders could seek to disrupt an election?
10/ You buy into the wildest, darkest, lunatic theories ("Hillary is a pedophile cannibal!") but ignore the conclusions of the ENTIRE IC.
11/ You're accepting an ongoing, state-sponsored set of attacks on Americans, American institutions and American security because...
12/ ...you don't want Trump's presidency to have an asterisk next to it, like a ball player with a home run count fueled by steroids and HGH
13/ Tough. It's already there. So here's my question for Trump defenders; how much RUS intervention in our elections is ok with you?
