Those biggies: guns & abortion/personal rights. An example from my experience were
two local girls. The parents were big on guns for protection and like many of that ilk, very anti-abortion. One girl with a scholarship to Harvard become pregnant in her senior HS year, the other had just gotten her first job and became pregnant. In both cases, abortion was not an option. Both young women blew their brains out with
'home protection'. Two lives and two potential lives were terminated because of
'moral' beliefs. I posted that example on an anti-abortion blog some years back.
The blog owner shut down. What could she say? These people, a minority, want to
run the country and are more than willing to accept an emperor/dictator to impose their ideology on we, the majority. The US deserves better. Far better.
BB-Idaho, what a devastating story. The Moral Majority can no longer claim any moral superiority after their uncritical support of the moral wreckage of Trump and the current GOP.
