Black Lives Matter -- Part the Gazillion.

 Found on facebook:

"Ephraim Sturrup, the first black man admitted to the University of Oklahoma in 1948, was forced to sit in a corner far from his white classmates. But his name remains on the honor roll as one of the three best students of the university.

These are his words: 'Some colleagues would look at me like I was an animal, no one would give me a word, the teachers seemed like they were not even there for me, nor did they always take my questions when I asked. But I devoted myself so much that afterwards, they began to look for me to give them explanations and to clear their questions.'

Lesson: Forcing yourself to be accepted by people is a waste of time. Just focus and add value to yourself and people shall come seeking your help."

WRONG!

It is NOT a good idea to accept second class status because of other people's racism.

It may have worked for this good man then, but it should not happen now or ever again!

Here's an example of how racists describe our African-American citizens NOW -- they refer to them as "monkeys," "primates," and "vermin."

Ed, please … for your own sake, for your own health and peace of mind, try to avoid using logic when discussing any issue involving those poor oppressed black folk.
Although I do have one thought: if blacks (understandably) do not like being compared to monkeys, why do inner-city blacks act like monkeys?

Taking their cue from the magistrates, who have sanctified themselves into MAKING laws instead of interpreting those written by legislators, the Chauvin jury appointed themselves modern Solomons by offering a cop in sacrifice to the chimps and baboons as prophylaxis against the total razing of Minneapolis and other cities.

Poetic justice will be had when all whites are shipped off to Liberia leaving only the democrats to run a country with 100,000,000 Negroes, Gang Bangers and Illegals. The show will be worth the price of admission.

Waters should be put in stocks outside her vermin district somewhere with several paddles hung on the uprights to be used for teachable moments for mad max. But in truth I came to this conclusion many years ago.

Now watch with Waters inciting blacks … black on white assaults are going to increase, and they are going to be bloody. Bloody as in Mogadishu with primates running around with machetes. It’s already started in Ohio. It will only get worse.

Typical Trumpers pissing and moaning because the bad cop got what he deserved. The Captain of the Mother Ship is all in a lather because George Floyd had a criminal past and doesn't deserve martyrdom. What they don't get is that no matter what the victim's past was, no cop has the right to kill that person once he or she is down and under control.

Chauvin had a terrible record as a bad cop but the Mother Ship just ignores that and focuses on the black guy. Hmmmm wonder why?

Dave Miller said...

I'm never surprised when I see the language shared by that crowd as it related to people of color. What amazes me why they continue to think and believe that minorities and people of color would want to associate with folks like that.

Why would a black person want to have dinner with someone who calls people who look his or her daughter monkeys, vermin and primates?

When people wonder why African Americans won't vote for conservatives, the language and mockery from their supporters should be evidence enough.

That, and the fact that the "less dogmatic" followers, maybe folks like Silver and Skud, never call out their own tribe for these frequent characterizations.

People learn, even if they don't speak the language, when folks don't want them around. You feel it, you sense it, you see it in how they treat people.

Those posts are just the tip of the iceberg.

The racists are saying the quiet parts out loud and posting them on their blogs:

"I keep hoping cops and military get pissed off and finally say “ENOUGH! We are GOOD PEOPLE, A country NEEDS military and law enforcement (not sure those aren’t one and the same, by the way) and we aren’t giving up on America’s people who want us to keep them safe. We are also not giving up GETTING BAD GUYS,. whether liberals LIKE IT OR NOT. We are NOT racists, we are NOT homophobes or xenophobes…..we’re AMERICANS who remember America before minorities started making her WORSE. Argue with THAT, you POSs” (you know I love that expression for some reason it always makes me laugh…I think I’m a little simple minded sometimes!)" [Hey, you said it, lady, not us! LOL!]

So there it is! That person actually believe "MINORITIES STARTED MAKING [AMERICA] WORSE!"

That racist blog is quite open and proud of their bigotry.

But they also remind themselves that this country can't be racist because it elected Barack Obama twice!

Yes, they really are that dumb!

Dave The astonishing part of reading those racist slurs is that the people writing them would be insulted and indignant should anyone point out to them that, in fact, this is exactly how racists describe an entire group of people. What they've written is exactly the very definition of racism!

The captain of the Mother Ship always resentfully wonders why liberals think certain conservatives (Trumpers) are racist when the evidence is in black and white on her own blog written by her pals and nodded with agreement by her. Shameful!

The kind of language they use to slander Black people is tolerated by her because either she's afraid of what her pals will say or she agrees, or both. I can't think of another reason a truly good Christian woman (as she believes she is) would allow those kind of slurs against an entire group of people.

IMO, hatred, fear, and ignorance is at the root of all their racist postings.

I read that blog as a microcosm of how Trumplandia feels and thinks.

If our founding fathers and southern plantation owners could’ve only seen the results of bringing in slaves down the line! Blacks that would’ve migrated here later on would’ve had a completely different mindset and attitude. You see it when you visit other countries where Blacks were either native (Caribbean, Africa) or voluntarily migrated. Now they’re talking about restitution, like they’re really suffering today, or that there are any slave owners still living. Instead, they should be grateful their forefathers sacrificed so they could be enjoying living in our great country otherwise they’d still be chucking spears somewhere in Africa with starving babies with swollen bellies. We’ve all seen those films, haven’t we? Restitution? Are you kidding? They were enslaved, not killed like some other people via a genocide! They should see it as their forefathers paying the price so they can be enjoying what they have today. THEY should be paying US, not the other way around!

That “Mal” is the same guy who called for the assassination of Barack Obama. Only someone who knows nothing about the history of slavery in America would write something as ignorant and indecent as that. There’s a boatload of folks who think like he does on that blog.

And they pat themselves on the back for being good Christians, while saying the most vile things about an entire group of their fellow human beings, y’know their god’s children.

No one is surprised to know how much they admire Trump. Birds of a feather and all that.

And as for "condemning" blogs and such, let's remember that it was conservatives who after 9/11 called absence of condemnation of extremist Muslims showed that in fact, there were no moderates and that they agreed with the terrorists.

Or they would have spoken up.

And you can check the blog files of the Mothership all day long and see that is how they believed then. So why not now.

RR is another story altogether...

Rev, Your statement about conservatives is a very broad brush attack which is unlike you. Your attack was not well defined and a little ambiguous.

There is an absence of praise for the newest leader and his sidekick. Is it because he is suck a disaster or you are hiding under a rock. His handlers are in an attack mode against the middle class that makes his previous boss look competent

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud,

You obvious live in a bubble. President Biden's job approval rating at this point in his presidency is 57%. Many conservatives and independents LIKE his proposals for new energy and for new green jobs. Conservatives and independents give President Biden high approval numbers for his handling of the COVID-19 vaccinations.

Trump was at 41% approval at the same point where Pres. Biden is. Trump NEVER made it above 50% approval for his entire presidency. That should indicate that the American people DID NOT LIKE THE JOB HE WAS DOING.

However, when you live in a bubble and listen only to conservative news and talk shows, you don't get to see reality.

If Pres. Biden was such a disaster for the middle class, how can his approval rating for the job he's doing be so high?

Can you honestly answer that and explain why conservatives and independents like what he's doing?

And this should worry the doom and gloom Trumpublicans who only want to denigrate Pres. Biden:

Biden scores record high approval rating among young voters, according to new poll

Those same young voters dislike with intensity Donald Trump, but they are very happy with what Pres. Biden is doing as president.

And they vote.

skudrunner said...

Ms Shaw, Biden does have great approval or at least the polls tell us that. that's the same polls that told us -H- would win bu a landslide. The media is hands off his border crisis, his dealing with china, iran, giving millions to feel good organizations and his three trillion proposal most of which has nothing to do with infrastructure but social changes. We are good giving millions to illegal immigrants while ignoring our homeless. Pulling troops home is a good idea but to use 9/11 as a target date just shows how insensitive his handlers are.
Can't blame joey for he is in a fog most of the time. He reads a speech and leaves without questions and the press lets him get away with it. If you think his tax proposals are not going to hurt the middle class you need to take a economics course and look at them with an open mind.

BTW, I never mentioned trump but your obsession with a former president is way out there.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud"Ms Shaw, Biden does have great approval or at least the polls tell us that. that's the same polls that told us -H- would win bu a landslide."

Nope. You're wrong. Predicting an election outcome is not the same as polls that show how Americans approve of the job a president is doing. That you don't know or understand the difference tells me everything.

President Biden has HIGH approval ratings, even if you can't handle that truth!

LOL Bluebullamerica - nice call on skudrunner. And it is true - studies suggest a specific mindset is needed to fall in line with the Republican/Evangelical ideology. Critical or independent thoughts are not welcome on that side of life.

Shaw - skud is doing what they do so well - moving the goalposts all while claiming the high ground. Obvious to me that they never watched PBS children's shows - specifically the game/song "One of these things is not like the other". I suggest remedial classes. Stat!

skud - I'm still focused on the former guy because he and his cohorts have yet to pay for their seditionist acts. I won't stop being focused until justice is served. If We The People allow those responsible for 1/6 to escape accountability but punish those who followed the Voices of Authority pushing the Big Lie then We The People don't deserve our country or our democracy.

If only skud were as dedicated to discussing what happened on January 6, incited by a sitting president! But skud and his pals at those far right blogs skimmed over that little bit of rowdiness and continue to tell everyone who will listen that Joe Biden is bad for America!

We haven't heard the end of what happened on Jan. 6. There are ongoing investigations and court filings and dates for the criminals who tried to overthrow an election -- urged on by a POTUS!

Dave Miller said...

Skud said... "Rev, Your statement about conservatives is a very broad brush attack which is unlike you. Your attack was not well defined and a little ambiguous."

Should I have said reactionary, non thinking conservatives? Should I have just left it at everyone, yourself included, who contribute to the Geez blog and say nothing about the posts Shaw highlighted in her post? Or the ones who day celebrated and chortled at an over the top, even for them, racist caricature of President Obama?

You've commented there. Have you ever called them out for their racist BS?

No one else has either. Because once you do, you can never comment again. Ask Ducky why he doesn't comment there.

So I guess in the end, let me define it better.

Many ppl in the MAGA universe, including the Mothership, have no love for Muslims, period. Or most other ppl who don't believe exactly as they do. it's plain as day and evident daily on their blogs.

What I said in my comment was not an attack, it was a fact.

-To talk angrily or seriously to someone in order to criticize their behaviour...

Mr Trump ends his speech with the words: "We fight. We fight like hell and if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore. So let's walk down Pennsylvania Avenue."

Shortly afterwards a Capitol police officer calls for backup.

"They're throwing metal poles at us," he says. "Multiple law-enforcement injuries," he adds in a panicked voice.

Capitol police send an evacuation warning.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

'We will never give up. We will never concede. It doesn't happen'
This was Mr Trump saying in the clearest terms yet that he will never accept Mr Biden's win.

Referring to himself and his supporters collectively, Mr Trump said there would be no concession.

He went on: "You don't concede when there's theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore."

__________________________________________________________________________________________

'We will stop the steal'
Here Trump was echoing the slogan of the movement to fight Mr Biden's election victory, which was started a day after the result was declared.

It soon gathered pace on social media and led to rallies across the US. The largest one yet was the one Mr Trump addressed on 6 January.

On Jan. 6, D.C. police officer Michael Fanone was swarmed by a pro-Trump mob and dragged down the Capitol steps, suffering a mild heart attack and a concussion as he was shocked with a stun gun and beaten.

In the months since, Fanone said it has been “difficult” to listen to politicians like former president Donald Trump, who last month falsely claimed rioters were actually “hugging and kissing” police, downplay the severity of the insurrection.

“It’s been very difficult seeing elected officials and other individuals kind of whitewash the events of that day or downplay what happened,” Fanone told CNN’s Don Lemon on Tuesday night. “Some of the terminology that was used, like ‘hugs and kisses’ and ‘very fine people,’ is very different from what I experienced and what my co-workers experienced on the 6th.”

Trump falsely claims Jan. 6 rioters were ‘hugging and kissing’ police

In an emotional interview on “CNN Tonight,” Fanone described in vivid detail the terror he experienced defending the Capitol from a mob intent on stopping certification of the election, and called out elected officials who have tried to obscure that reality — a position that some GOP officials have embraced as they seek to defend Trump.

Skud can claim Trump didn't say the actual words "Attack the Capitol and overturn the election!" But he did incite his felonious and seditionist armed thugs to "Fight!" and to make sure Pence "does the right thing."

What "right thing" was Trump talking about? Not certifying the electoral votes? That would have been unlawful!

Trump is a slimy operator, like an old time crime boss, who never says the actual words, but gets his underlings to do the dirty work he wants.

Trump lost the election. There was no fraud. Americans OVERWHELMINGLY threw Trump's corrupt posterior out of office because he failed BIGLY at his job.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud: "I realize you have to focus on the former president because that will divert attention from the current puppet so go for it."

Skud, like the trolls who come here every day, must read the talking points memos distributed by the MAGAts that claim Biden is a "puppet" and not really in control:

"...the president’s political brand is so, well, avuncular that much of the public sees him as a nonradical, politically moderate kind of guy. This has some Republicans, especially Senate moderates, talking up their love of bipartisanship and compromise, lest they look like the unreasonable ones.

All of this is making it hard for his political opponents to vilify him — about which Republican lawmakers have expressed their dismay. Instead, more than three months in, they’re still trying to cast him as a puppet of “radicals”: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Squad, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the White House chief of staff, Ron Klain.

You know Republicans are having a rough time when Senator John Cornyn of Texas is reduced to grumping about Mr. Biden’s lack of Twitter tantrums and speculating that the president’s low profile means he’s not really in charge."

LOL! Skud, you are sooooooooooooo predictable!

Shaw Kenawe said...

Bluebullamerica,

Trump is responsible for the attack on the US Capitol, no matter what skud and his friends on the Mother Ship claim.

Trump was the POTUS when he was screaming at his armed thugs that the election was stolen and that he would never concede to Biden. Trump didn't say the exact words "Attack the Capitol, destroy property, and kill the Capitol police," but his armed thugs knew what was implied as he told them to "Fight" and that he'd "never concede."

Trump was the POTUS at the time of the insurrection against the US Capitol, but the Secret Service never whisked him away to a safe place while the US government was being attacked.

Do the Trumpers ever think about that and wonder why?

Dave Miller said...

Skud you asked... "Rev I do not control what is said or allowed on other blogs and if they block someone I can't control that. I read past the hate and don't participate. Didn't someone say turn the other cheek."

You are correct you do not, and cannot, control what others say. But that's the cowards way out on the Mothership.

Look back at "Old Geez" and their posts after terrorist acts. They decry all people of the Muslim faith, tarring the entire religion with the behavior of the extremists. They call all adherents liars under the doctrine of Taqiya.

They claim that if there were honorable Muslims, or in their lingo Moslems, then those people would step out of the shadows and publicly condemn the "terrorists within." Absent that action they claim, it is more than fair to paint the silent ppl within their religion as guilty.

When folks who comment here were still allowed to post there, we decried that broad brush painting of billions of people with the actions of the extreme adherents. And we were told to shut up, we were wrong, we hated America, we knew nothing and on and on and on.

While I may be tarring you too with a broad brush, those are the rules you and your friends established. If you don't like it, change your silent assents. When they error on the side of racism, as they did with their recent caricature of Presidents Obama and Biden in the White House, call them out.

You seem like a better person than many of those folks. Not yet as jaded and sometimes able to see and accept the other side of an argument. But your silence when they step over the line is noted...

As acceptance.

If it's not, prove us wrong.

Skud and obviously millions of others have failed Connect The Dots. The understanding tRump knew exactly what he was doing is overwhelming when the dots are connected.

Mitch McConnel and the obstructionist methodology he designed and effectively employed even before the 2008 election is the vehicle that resulted in tRump's disasterous win in 2016.

The McConnell/tRump team's dream was to halt social progress, gut the federal government, and essentialy reset American society back to "the good ole days when everyone knew their place". Especially folks of color.

McConnell, the party, and tRump can certainly be very proud of the success of their efforts. The country now stands as divided and hyper-partisan than at anytime since the mid 1800's.

Hope remains eternal, but, in America "enternity" may just be short lived. Unless Biden and others with a real vision forward succeed.
