General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Good news for who? It's the Republicans who have complained about decreasing oil production through restriction and regulation which they have fought for years. Seems we make their point with this news.
There's always another dictator to get oil from.
Sometimes a smart president deals with a not so perfect leader or country to the advantage of the USA.
As Nixon did with China, as we did for years with the Shah so we'd have decades of below market oil process. As did many other presidents, to the benefit of America.
Heck as we did with the USSR to defeat Germany in WWII.
I guess being energy independent has proven to not be true. You really can't totally blame the oil companies when it was stated the government will run them out of business. They did the same thing with coal. Now we need to face the music as we hear the complaints from the green groups lead by the brilliant Ocasio-Cortez who seems to keep the president on his toes.
We again turn to a forign source to bail us out of our governments horrible decisions.
It is, after all is said and done, all about self interest. Something the USA has been quite effective at. Usually by exploiting other nations or people.
I see the high gas prices on tv and I hear the whining from people and I just smile at my EV parked in the driveway. I don't drive anymore but my spouse drives it daily and loves it. Our country is 20 years behind the technology and, for some reason, is so smitten with continuing to suck dinosaur juice out of the Earth that they are hurting themselves and the planet. Please folks, get with it and dump those remnants of the filthy past.
Slightly off topic. Just a bit. The Former guy was on a podcast and was asked about Ukraine. Here's the question and his energy related answer...
It gives new meaning to the term Word Salad...
Interviewer Kyle Forgeard: "What do you see happening next then? 'Cause it seems like the tensions are high. How does this all end? Is this going to be like a long-term thing? How do you see it unfolding?
Trump: "Well, and I said this a long time ago, if this happens, we are playing right into their hands. Green energy. The windmills. They don't work. They're too expensive. They kill all the birds. They ruin your landscapes. And yet the environmentalists love the windmills. And I've been preaching this for years. The windmills. And I had them way down. But the windmills are the most expensive energy you can have. And they don't work. And by the way, they last a period of 10 years and by the time they start rusting and rotting all over the place, nobody ever takes them down. They just go on to the next piece of prairie or land and destroy that."
Mind you, this was on a podcast. We can listen to it with our own ears. So we can see that it's not a made up transcript.
This guy had his finger on the nuclear codes of the US.
And the GOP is worried about Biden...
Great blog
Self interest at work in the UAE. Profit and Revenues increase for them, world oil markets stabilizes, we continue to drink fossil fuel like water, and the planet's cry continues.
Plods on...
Blueballs, It is fortunate that you drive a battery car but the vast majority of Americans can't afford $60+K for a small vehicle that is good for going to the store down the block. Some of us have to drive to work or drive as work so we need the dinosaur juice to get around. I think in time there will be practical alternatives to transportation that most can afford but to shut down the oil industry now, as joe promised, is not good answer.
The high cost of dinosaur juice for you may not be a big deal but the working poor are suffering which is of little concern to the greenies of the world. You do know that to charge your toy car you have to rely on electricity that is produced by OIL, GAS or COAL. If it makes people feel good, go for it but I would rather fill up in ten minutes rather than wait hours for a recharge so I can drive another couple hundred miles and do it again.
BluebullAmerica,
My daughter lives in SoCal and drives a Tesla (pre-owned), and she's very grateful to be able to drive back and forth to work without having to take out a second mortgage!
Dave M.,
One would think that the so-called "Stable Genius" would know they're call "wind turbines," not "windmills." My 7 year old grandson knows that.
Trump's response to Forgeard's simple-minded questions made Forgeard sound like an Einstein.
It is still astonishing to me to understand that millions and millions of people think Trump is something other than a malignant narcissist who knows next to nothing about everything.
Skid, my EV will go 500 miles without a charge and charging is fast, easy and cheap or even free, in some places. You're clearly not familiar with the latest generation in electric vehicles. I'll put mine up against and dine juice junkie vehicle out there.
Blueballs, The only EV that gets that kind of miles is a MB EQS and that is a price tag, 102K, out of my range so I applaud you for providing your wife with a fine ride.
I prefer hybrid because they make the most sense for going long distance. The cost to charge a EV and provide fuel for a car is not that much different, of course that was before biden forced compliance program and jacking up oil.
If I drove 25 miles on a trip I would consider an EV but that just won't work for me. We should all go to diesel because they are the most fuel efficient and less polluting but the greenies attack them so that won't happen.
Competition will drive costs down skud. Isn't that the mantra of pro capitalists like yourself? Therefore doesn't it make sense to consider electric when you are again in the market for a new ride to consider a state of the art green vehicle? Why not buy your first as a business expense? Jump on board and show some love for Mother Earth and ALL she gives you?
