Republicans Eating Their Own

The ever-disgusting, ever-cringe-worthy, EX-preznit, Donald J. Trump, proves once again what a childish little worm he is, as he attacks a fellow Republican.

It looks like the crybaby man-child will not hesitate to wallow in the gutter if fellow Republicans like Youngkin or DeSantis take the spotlight away from him and challenge him for the 2024 nomination. It'll break and destroy the current Republican Party; and as Lindsey Graham said himself, "we will deserve it."

"Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Friday morning in a racist post on his Truth Social platform.

Trump—who views Youngkin as part of the Republican establishment that wants to squeeze the former president out of the GOP—suggested Youngkin’s name 'sounds Chinese.' ”

[snip]

"This isn’t the first time Trump has gone on a racist screed against his political foes. Trump has repeatedly referred to Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao—who was a member of his cabinet—as 'Coco Chow.'

In August, the former president accused Chao, born in Taiwan, of attempting to 'get rich on China.' ”

I can't help thinking about the folks who hitched their wagons to this despicable cockwomble and thought that if he'd "just say the right things," he'd prove himself to be a likable, intelligent president.

Those who supported and continue to support Trump will never see him for what he is: A malignant narcissist, racist, and man-child idiot.

I think back when I thought Trump could never be elected president. Here we go again. Never say never. Republicans have been supporting Trump for years no matter how disgusting he got. Only Republicans can make sure his politics(?) are gone.

Those who gloried in the triumphs (as they saw it) of Trump's rise to power forgot that it sometimes takes time for the bill to come due. They dismissed early Trump doubters like Graham as nervous nellies. But Trump's narcissism and his lack of intelligence and self-control made it inevitable that he would turn into a serious problem for the party eventually. It just took a few years. What the Republicans are dealing with now is the hangover from their 2016-2020 Trumpism binge, and the headaches and nausea are just getting worse and worse.

That does seem a shared trait of both parties. The republicans blame trump, as they should, and the dems blame AOC because she is clueless. It is the same for whatever party is in power to blame the other party for their blunders. My fear is that trump will run and will not get the nomination so he will break off and run as an independent or head up the wacko party. His half a million followers will stay loyal to him and pass the victory to whatever liberal wins the democrat nod.

It does look like the republicans won the house, not by the margin they counted on but a win is a win and we get rid of botox nan and who knows the senate. A lot depends on the two clowns running in georgia and how much out of state money the can raise.

The list of names for Donny Doodoo that Colbert has used has to be getting very long.

Prerhaps the headaches and nausea hangover will lead to the gop finally going the way of the Whigs. Which, for many, would be very a satisfying and uplifting occurance.

“I think if Donald served any constructive purpose at all, it was that. That he held up a mirror, and he revealed the Republican Party to be what it is and has been for a very long time.” ~ Mary Trump

While it may be true that Trump still represents the center of mass of today’s Republican Party, there are increasingly fewer people around who think of themselves as Republicans. We have trump himself to thank for that. His brand of hatefulness, ignorance, and incompetence is a bridge too far for a big majority of Americans. While Trump has redefined what it means to be a Republican, he is most definitely not a Republican in the traditional sense, and he is not a conservative. He is only a self-serving, attention-seeking con man. More and more people are coming to understand that. His days are ending.

And another one bites, another one bites, another one bites the dust:

Mo Brooks: “It would be a bad mistake for the Republicans to have Donald Trump as their nominee in 2024. (He) has proven himself to be dishonest, disloyal, incompetent, crude and a lot of other things that alienate so many independents and Republicans.”

Rupert Murdoch has told Trump his media empire will not support another Trump run for the presidency. News Corp source: “We have been clear with Donald. There have been conversations. Rupert made it clear to Donald we cannot back another run for the White House.”

Scott and DeSantis are the piranhas to keep an eye on now.

Wait... A news organization, backed by conservatives who decry biased news, announced they won't support "another run for the White House?"

That's basically saying we did it once, but not again.

I'm sure the MSM haters will be all over FOXNews for this, won't they?
