“The dumpster fire we are witnessing now has been smoldering for years, if not decades. It is what happens when people elect representatives who actively hate the idea of governance. It is what happens when people rack up victories with Fox News rants and not legislation. It is what happens when a quest for power means you’re willing to yield and appease everyone and everything that can help you secure it“

It happens when a party or nation has lost its vison. Its soul. Its common sense. Its sense of decency. Its sense of truth. Its sense of justice.

And that decribes the gop knuckle draggers pefectly.

Oh please, Democrats are the saviors of the world?

Religiosity and Conspiratorial Beliefs Linked in Baylor Religion Survey Findings

June 9, 2021

Americans who most strongly assert their personal religiosity are more likely to believe contemporary falsehoods, Baylor sociologists find

Democrats aren't the "saviors of the world," but they very well could be the saviors of American democracy, since the Loony GQPers are hellbent on destroying it.

So long as the lunatic GQPers support the corrupt and indecent Trump, and his lackeys, our American democracy will be in peril.

There is plenty of evidence that shows people who are fanatical religionists are more likely to believe in lies. ANd the evidence is that those particular folks have been primed to believe in fantastical things.

Hey Ms. Shaw!
You said; “

May I ask you why you are never criticizing Joe Biden who is the number one destroyer of the country?
Trump is long gone, and has exactly NOTHING o do with Biden’s STUPIDITY, and INEPTNESS. and you are certainly smart enough to know that!

Shaw Kenawe said...

To "Pierre,"

Joe Biden did NOT incite an insurrection against the United States of America, steal government top secret documents, or write off in his taxes, secret payments to his mistresses to keep their mouths shut after he shagged them while his 3rd wife was giving birth to his 5th child.

Also, Joe Biden did not encourage a mob to kill his V.P., like Trump did.

Whatever drugs you're taking, they've cooked what's left of your MAGA brain.

Truth shall forever allude those who work diligently to escape actual reality.

For truth to be real it must reflect actual reality in each given moment. Not the conditioned content of ones ego.

Ms. Shaw,
You are correct that joey b did not incite a riot or, to the best of our knowledge, hasn't had multiple affairs like trump, clinton, jfk, lbj. Trumps son did not sleep with his brothers wife or contested child support either.

It is the democrats policy to devote billions in aiding border crossers yet not provide for the homeless especially veterans and and do little to fix the VA system. To his credit trump tried to fix the VA system but like most things he was involved in he lost focus and it is still woefully inadequate in providing for our vets. Vets rely on charitable organizations to help where the federal government is lacking.

I saw where he went for a photo op close to the border. Hope something comes out of it other than a check mark that he has been close to the border following in the footsteps of his VP, Close but not quite there. Maybe he will go again in a couple of years and actually see the hoards of people crossing instead of a cleaned up process center with less than half the incoming people. Better yet why doesn't he take Marine one and see the mess they leave behind on ranchers land. I know the border is secure so it is just a right wing conspiracy promoted by fox news. If it were real the majors would cove it, right!

You know damn well that if there were even a sniff of an affair, the Goopers would have found out and exposed it by now -- unlike finding thatTrump tried to hide the fact that he was shagging numerous women while married and tried to pass off his payoffs to mistresses as a tax write-off. How very Christian of him. I say that because Trump's biggest and most ardent supporters are Evangelicals who've decided a villain like Trump is excusable as long as he hates the same people they hate.

clinton, jfk, lbj. Trumps son did not sleep with his brothers wife or contested child support either.

As for skud's comments on the border, he conveniently forgets this:

There was a bipartisan congressional deal in 2019 that Trump reneged on because of the Freedom Caucus. McConnell Schumer and Pelosi were willing to spend $20 billion on the wall and $5 billion on security in exchange for a pathway of citizenship for Dreamsers.

The Trumpublicans own the crisis.

And this is just pathetic:

Kevin McCarthy’s first order of business to slash the funding for the new 87,000 IRS
agents.

Andrew Wortman:

"1.) The funding has already been provided. It cannot be “repealed” nor rescinded.

2.) The IRS did not “hire 87,000 new agents.” The funding enables them to hire that many agents over the course of TEN YEARS; including agents who retire or leave in that time.

3.) The @GOP is useless.

I understand that the GOP knows their base doesn’t read, but I still am lost as to who they are even trying to pander to with this: the bloc of voters that doesn’t pay their taxes or something? Pretty sure most of those people are ultra-rich Republicans."

Ms. Shaw, The two year mark has passed where BHO blamed everything on W so joey b needs to step up his game and accept even some responsibility for his administration. Now that the elections is over the 1/06 trial can be concluded because it did what the democrats wanted, made trump the focus instead of the lack luster left.

Even MSDNC made joey b look less than a leader this morning for not visiting the border just a facility and didn't speak to one "migrant". I thought they would have his back but they actually presented the truth.

Don't get me wrong, I do not expect the republicans to accomplish anything over the next two years except fill hot air balloons. They couldn't even win massively against the disaster of joey b. I will give the democrats credit for using trump as the candidate in every race and their loss proves he is loosing his luster.

I am beyond curious as to how in skud’s brain the 1/6 insurrection and following investigation is the fault of a ‘lack luster left’.

What in the world? I bet skud believes it wasn’t MAGAT’s storming the Capitol it was “antifa”, amirite?

skud- you know that antifa means anti fascist, meaning they fight those who choose to kill those they don’t like (looking at you DeSantis and your death by a thousand paper cut ways). You know this right?

So - please explain how this whole mess is the fault of the Democratic Party (who turns out are more like moderate republicans since the adoption of fascism by the GQP)?
