Cameron is against gay marriage and believes homosexuality is hurting the underpinnings of Western society.
He doesn’t hate anyone, he just believes differently than most of the Left and some churches and synagogues. So he MUST be censored and threatened?"
"He doesn't hate anyone..."
Right. Cameron's just telling his audience that "homosexuality is hurting the underpinnings of Western society!"
That's a pretty damning and dangerous statement! And the blogger thinks that's just "believing differently?"
Weak-minded individuals reading that would immediately see it as a threat to their well-being and, who knows, maybe want to do something -- anything -- about saving Western civilization from the gays who are "hurting the underpinning of Western society!"
The blogger appears to have sympathy for Cameron's point of view, and apparently feels it is unfair for anyone to consider his opinion as hateful, which, of course, it actually is.
Cameron believes it is homosexuality that threatens Western society! Not greed, mendacity, wars of aggression, poverty, pandemics, climate change, etc. Nope. It's the gays! And Cameron's hateful opinion stigmatizes a group of human beings who have, over millennia, contributed some of the world's greatest literature, music, art, and science.
That's not publishing a "different opinion." What Cameron is doing is vilifying an entire group of human beings, our brothers and sisters, blaming them for hurting Western society. That is the very definition of "hateful" because it has no basis in fact. His statement is a reflection of his own despicable bigotry, and every person of good will should condemn it.
It wasn't that long ago in Germany when the Nazis made these sorts of statements about Jews, homosexuals, and other minorities, which made it easy for the state to dispose of these people and save Germany from perceived threats to its purity. Yet the blogger has empathy for poor Kirk Cameron (I've never heard of this guy), who singles out the gay community as a THREAT to Western society?
What in hell does that blogger think "THREAT" means? What kind of ideas will the weak-minded folks who listen to Fox News' lies get from this report?
Let me remind everyone: Fox New (FAUX NOOZ) has been exposed in the Dominion lawsuit as knowingly and deliberately broadcasting lies about the 2020 election. FAUX NOOZ LIED AND LIED AND LIED. FAUX NOOZ knew Trump lost, but for monetary reasons kept telling their viewers a dirty dangerous LIE!
It's amazing to understand that these facts about FAUX NOOZ are indisputable -- Murdoch himself admitted to Fox promoting Trump's Big Lie for money -- yet people like the blogger above, remain loyal consumers of Fox's lies, their disinformation, and propaganda -- anti-gay rubbish -- that they find on that deplorable pile of crap called Fox News.
The blogger who posted Cameron's anti-gay propaganda hasn't the ability to see that posting Cameron's opinion -- and that's what it is; it is his hateful opinion, not a fact, -- isolates and endangers the gay community as a threat to Western civilization.
My challenge to that blogger would be this: Substitute "Jews," for "homosexuality," in Cameron's statement, and test it to see if, as the blogger who posted it believes, it is "just believing differently than most of the Left and some churches and synagogues."
IMO, it is people like that blogger who give voice and legitimacy to bigotry and hate. Shame on all who do so.

Mostly folks never actually look at the true nature of their fear(s). If they did they would soon realize their fear(s) is actually unfounded and really presents an opportunity for growth and change.
But i suppose that is a discussion for another day and time.
If someone wants to believe the same things Kirk Cameron believes, that's his or her right. I'm not taking sides here. Celebrities have a big platform to say what they want, unlike the rest of us.
On a side note, tRumpturds have their thong panties in a bunch today. They're crying because their leader is supposedly going to prison today for the crimes he "allegedly" committed. Today is Tuesday March 21 2023, for the record.
Derv,
Trump isn't going to prison today, and I'm not sure he's even going to be fingerprinted.
Trump is innocent until proven guilty. Unlike him and his lackeys, (who called for Hilary Clinton to be locked up without even having had her indicted for anything), we're better than that.
I'll wait to see how all of this plays out.
As for this Cameron character, the point is not to question his right to be a homophobic. My post is about the Trumper (the woman who posted about and supported his homophobia) who considers hate speech nothing more than an opinion. Words have meaning, power, and consequences -- we saw that in real time on January 6, 2021.
I will always speak out against people who promote homophobia and hate speech. That's what Cameron's "opinions" are. They are NOT facts, they're his opinions about his bigotry.
Good point, Shaw. Maybe we should go after their accounts on all platforms and get them banned for life. You can report things on YouTube that are dangerous and take the account out completely, not just the post, but the whole account. Report all hate speech and disinformation on all accounts you see on YouTube. If a tRumper has a non political hunting channel, report it for even the slightest amount of violence or dangerous act as an example. If they like hotrodding, report it for dangerous acts and encouraging car theft and chop shop activities. These are just a few ideas to wipe them out and get them demonetized from YouTube.
So many questions...
Who determines when a book contains a "good message"? Is there any objective standard? I suspect in the case of the person you quoted, it means a book or message that person agrees with.
Shaw... to your point of trading the words Jews for Homosexuals, John Pavlovitz did something similar in a recent post...
This is literally the language many Christians use when talking to, or about gay people, just twisted a bit.
Dear Conservative Homophobic and Transphobic Christians,
I wanted to express my sincere regrets at how our recent exchanges have left you feeling.
It seems I’ve offended you in some way and I want to apologize for that.
I’m sorry you feel persecuted when I confront you,
that you feel unfairly judged by my pointed words,
or that it seems like I’m being purposefully cruel, as that isn’t my intention.
It’s just that sometimes my faith gets the best of me and in my sincere desire to help people I can come off a bit abrasive or rude or intolerant. Come to think of it, I guess I am intolerant: of sin. Your sin.
You see, that’s all this is. I know what God wants for you and for the world, and as someone aligned with God, I feel singularly burdened to make sure that you’re aligned with me.
I know you didn’t start out this way. I know you were influenced, persuaded, (groomed if you will) by the people who raised you and the media you’ve consumed and the culture you’ve grown up in—and you think this is what God wants. Actually, it’s a perversion. The teachings of Jesus are actually pretty clear on this, and if you could see what I see, you’d agree that what I’m seeking is the best for you.
I need you to understand that this isn’t an attack on you, it isn’t bullying, it isn’t oppression (as much as it may seem from where you’re standing), it’s love.
I love you, but as a Christian I simply can’t support the sin of your homophobic and transphobic lifestyle. I know that you weren’t born this way, and that for whatever reason you made the choice to reject God’s plan for you.
And so, in love—I can’t allow that.
Which is actually an act of kindness, a sacred gesture.
To not confront you with your blind hatred would be the most unloving act of all: to just leave you alone and let you live as you please and to allow you to continue in this blatant rebellion, well, I would feel like a really terrible Christian.
So, every time my words and manner seem in intrusive, every time you feel violated by my invasion of your privacy, every time it seems I’ve completely disregarded your humanity, forgive me. I only have your best interests at heart.
I’m hopeful that you will receive these words in the spirit in which they are offered and that they love you enough to change. I wouldn’t want to resort to actually passing legislation to force these things on you. (I mean, we can’t control people’s bodies with laws that reflect our religious beliefs. That would be theocracy, which of course, Jesus wanted no part of.
All of this to say, this is up to you.
You can fix all of this, with a little help.
You can change.
You can move away from the sins of your fears and phobias.
You can find freedom from the evil that has taken hold of you.
You just need to come to Jesus and repent.
Read his teachings and it will become clear.
If it isn’t clear, you just haven’t prayed enough.
You can leave your sin behind.
Again, please don’t be offended.
I’m just speaking the truth in love, which one day you’ll thank me for.
Homophobic and transphobic Christians—you can pray your hate away.
Let's add this from the same blogger...
"A comedian can’t tell a Knock Knock Joke anymore because people will say you must hate the homeless because they don’t have DOORS.
SO, HUMOR is going……..thanks to Leftwing nuts who’d cancel a comedian for telling that and other quite funny jokes…."
This, which is not happening BTW, is what some ppl are worked up about.
How does any sane person even respond? I mean if we could. Like if comments from dissenters were allowed. Like when you ask someone to give you an answer explaining something, but only listen to your like minded friends.
Enjoy...
Knock knock. Who's there? Says. Says who? Says me, that's who!
Knock knock. Who's there? I am. I am who? I am who is knocking. Who are you?
Knock knock. Who's there? Art. Art who? R2D2 is my favorite droid in Star Wars!
Knock knock. Who's there? Weekend. Weekend who? Weekend do anything we want!
Knock knock. Who's there? I. O. I. O. who? Me. When are you paying me back?
"Shame on all who do so."
Agree.
"people like the blogger above, remain loyal consumers of Fox's lies,"
You'll find many more stupid posts on that blog as a rsult of her loyalty to a known lie machine, Fox News. Evidently, Trumpers like her don't care that Fox has told them they consstantly lie. As long as their lies match her and her friends bigotry, they're fine with it.
This country is so effed.
Dave,
My grandchildren and I love knock knock jokes! Or corny Dad Jokes as we call them.
That blog is nothing more than an echo chamber where people get together and tell each other stories and lies that make them feel like victims and stories that make them angry about things that are not happening.
The idea of hearing different opinions on a subject is going the way of an honest politician. If you don't agree with me then you shouldn't be allowed to voice your opinion. This is most evident in left leaning collages where they demand a conservative speaker not be allowed to speak because they have a different opinion than the norm at that institution. I'm sure it happens in conservative universities when a leftist wants to speak but that just seldom happens.
Lets not hear other opinions because it might change our mind on a subject. And we wonder why public education is failing our kids.
And is there a problem with a person changing their mind? Of course not. But just try that in red conservative state. Where a large number consider democrats and liberalism or progressivism in the same light as they do communism. You just might be ostracized if you do. There is nothing like peer pressure to get people to keep their mouths shut.
On a side note, I just got good news about a tRumper on YouTube. There's a pastor getting his videos taken down every time he puts them up. Someone is filing "copyright" violations against him. Looks like a tRumper will be getting removed permanently very soon. It's time to go after these guys on the next platform they use: Facebook. This pastor is based in the south, FYI.
