The Germans and Italians found out the hard way. They've not forgotten. Apparently we have. A long train of people numbering in the high millions. Enough to put our democratic republic and rule of law at grave risk.
It is possible, do to national ignorance, that we will, in this counrty in this time, and out of necessity, go through a much darker and more sinister period before light again dawns.
2024 will be the test methinks whether our democratic republic stands or falls. I wouldn't bet on it standing. The tribalism we're seeing on a national scale reminds me of a book read in junior high school, Lord of the Flies. Near half of Americans, tRump and the MAGA's, act like the kids on that island.
