Nietzsche famously expressed that he would only believe in a god who could dance, highlighting his preference for a god who embraces life, joy, and exuberance. Dance is expression. It can manifest many emotions and feelings. I wonder if Trump ever dances, or if he ever did. When he was younger. I mean really dance.
Some of my most joyous years were when the misses and I were dancing regularly and doing amateur comps in ballroom and Latin Dance.
The FOTUS eschews the annual Correspondents' dinner because he is uniquely unable to poke fun at himself or to tolerate anyone else making him the butt of any joke. Trump has zero sense of humor and wouldn't know what "self-deprecation" means, never mind the ability to engage in it.
This is typical of narcissists. And Trump is a malignant one.
Every Democratic president that I can remember participated in the Correspondents' dinner and had a good time laughing at himself.
Trump is too insecure to be able to handle even friendly jokes about himself.
And Trump certainly has a LOT to be insecure about.
You only see what you want to see, -FJ. There are lots of videos of Obama being self-deprecating and lots of videos of Trump making fun of people over whom he has status and power. Trump always belittles journalists, calling them stupid and fake. But you pretend examples like that don't exist because you are blind to what's actually in front of your nose.
The relationship between government and the press is supposed to be adversarial. It's only not when a black man or senile grandpa with a (D) after his name is president
One can be adversarial and a decent human being. Trump isn't capable of acting decently to anyone. He's a short-fingered vulgarian. And if you don't think Trump is losing his marbles, I have a big, beautiful, cheaper health care bill I'd like to sell you. LOL!
PS The majority of the country is fed up with his lies, tariffs, and stupidity. And his inability to act like a decent human being at a pope's funeral. He has the lowest approval numbers for a new presidency in 70 years. He's even topped himself in low numbers for a new presidency. Give him props for doing that!
