Steve Dicus:

Oh, MAGA… turns out you DO have a Civil War on your hands. Charlie Kirk was most likely a casualty of MAGA on MAGA violence.

If you don’t know who Nick Fuentes is, congratulations on having a life. If you don’t know what a Groyper is—I almost envy you.

Nick Fuentes is a MAGA influencer and staunch antisemite. He has influence. He and Kanye West had dinner with Trump at Mar a Lago not so long ago. Nick’s most loyal followers are called Groypers. Groypers like to troll and threaten online and they frequently use phrases like “o Bella ciao” and “if you read this you are gay”… just like the ones etched onto the ammo used by the guy who shot Charlie Kirk.

Nick Fuentes and his Groypers have been having a heated feud with Charlie Kirk for some time now. This shooting MAY be a result of that feud. A case where the comment section got real.

I couldn’t prove this in a court of law right now. The evidence is circumstantial. But oh my god there’s a LOT of circumstantial evidence. I’d love to know what kind of statements the (alleged) shooter has made. And I’d love to see his internet history.

For his part, Nick Fuentes has gone silent and deep. He canceled his show yesterday and posted a picture preemptively disavowing any violence his followers may do. Or may have already done.

It’ll take the mainstream media a day or two to catch up to all of this. And Fox “News” probably won’t cover it at all, but be ready to hear the word Groyper

It's all the result of blind ignorance in pursuit of power and control.

It's always been about the desire for power and control. Authoritarian dictatorships, when aligned and allied with religious beliefs and church hierarchy is the MOST effective way to corner power and control over others. Trump and MAGA know this.

Who knew the right wing had a righter wing? Groyper? Hard to say. Even harder to spell.

Right now it looks like that was actually not the case. Which really shouldn't be surprising. Early news reports of sudden, dramatic events are often wrong or misleading. The narrative on the Kirk shooter's motive has already shifted a couple of times. It will probably be a while before we know the truth for sure. Until then, everyone needs to have the humility to acknowledge that they don't really know.

Truth be damned. ... Facts be damned. ... So now 'Charlie Kirk' is the new HORST WESSEL, right? History does not repeat itself, history does rhyme though. How long before 'they' publish a song about the sleazeball snake?

What we do know is that MAGA lost their minds over Kirk’s death. He never served in the military, was not an elected official of a state or federal office. He led a far right movement that, in many ways, was seen as radical, because he denigrated certain groups, including anti- LGBTQ rhetoric and demeaned the accomplishments of Black women. He wasn’t a national hero; he was a MAGA hero.

Kirk was MAGA’s Abbie Hoffman, who was the far left’s political activist.

He left his wife $12 million. Hate pays well?

What we know is Corporate media is jumping on the Kirk Martyrdom train and Democratic governors are having flags at half-staff in his honor.
'
Will they have the guts and decency to retract those honors? Or will they join MAGA in their demands for military honors for the criminal insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt?

They are utterly silent on his racist white nationalism.

Emily, just so we're clear, the Haitians that are in Huntsville that are raping your women and hunting you down at night — it's only gonna get worse if — unless Donald Trump wins. A new report from Fox News shows that across the border, 13,000 people convicted of murder, 15,000 people convicted of rape on the non-detained list — meaning they're currently roaming free around our country. So right now, roaming free on the interior of the United States are 13,000 convicted murderers, 15,000 convicted rapists. And they're just — they're having a field day, and they're coming for your daughter next… and pray Trump wins, or else things are gonna get really bad. They're gonna get even worse. There will be hundreds of thousands of Haitians brought into Alabama, and they will become your masters…and pray Trump wins, or else things are gonna get really bad. They're gonna get even worse. There will be hundreds of thousands of Haitians brought into Alabama, and they will become your masters.

A media, a government, and a nation that lionizes a white supremacist/racist, a misogynist, a activist working to divide, and a whack job Christian Nationalist is a sick nation indeed.

I will not be forced to canonize Kirk as a national hero and saint. He held some very controversial ideas and to be opposed to those ideas is NOT a crime. His death was a tragedy, as was the deaths of Melissa Hortman, and others who were killed by gun violence.

Greetings Shaw. Right now it's difficult to criticize Kirk without appearing to to approve of his murder. While on a Rhode Island vacation, met a woman who was in tears over Kirk's death, saying she couldn't grasp the hate and lunatics of the left. At the I chose to remain silent. I do believe Kirk's murder was wrong and have said as much. There is no question Kirk's words were caustic and represent America politics at its worst. I have read that Kirk urged his followers to create a list of college professors who were spreading "propaganda." There were death threats made as result of this. At the risk of appearing "both sides do it", this was incitement, much as Jan 6 was the result of incitement. I in no way support political inspired violence. Kirk's murder, I fear, will exacerbate more extremism and retaliatory violence. If that happens the great American experiment, the nation we all love could end. Thanks for listening. Marcus from CT

The exact date that political violence became normalized was February 13, 2021. That was when the 43 Republicans of the Senate failed to convict Trump for inciting the January 6th insurrection. Peaceful transfer of power as an American tradition was terminated.

Trump’s criminal charges were nullified on July 1, 2024, when the corrupt Republican Justices of the US Supreme Court ruled ex-presidents have immunity from prosecution for all official acts, substantially altering the 2020 election interference case against Donald Trump. “Equal justice under law” in the US was terminated.

Now the Criminal Dictator is the arbiter of justice and gatekeeper of the Congress and courts.

Done. USA RIP

I'm hearing this sentiment all over the webz "Right now it's difficult to criticize Kirk without appearing to to approve of his murder."

Oh really? Because I'm certain I can criticize the man's words while calling out the method of his removal from humanity - a method the man himself supported even if the target set in his mind did not include humans who resembled himself (specifically in this case as it turned out).

So, I am a member of many demographics but the two main are the LGBTQIA+ and disabled communities. Like all my fellow citizens I expect my Rights to end where my neighbors begin. I expect my neighbor to respect my Rights as I respect theirs. Those who violate my rights must face accountability just as I would face accountability for violating their Rights.

Kirk is on record saying people like me aren't worthy of Rights, that we deserve only death for the crime of existing. He's on record saying people like me (female) shouldn't have the right to vote, to have a job, to be a person. For the record, I heartily disagreed with just about everything Charlie Kirk ever said and yet (AND YET) I never called for his death. Why would I give my enemy the blessed relief I crave for every day as I exist in a pain filled cloud that makes living agony? Your logic fails in the face of my suffering.

I wanted Charlie Kirk alive to see a world where laws are updated to ensure the built in discrimination is eradicated. I wanted him to be forced to live in a world ruled by love, compassion, and empathy. There are worse things in life than death and for that piece o' crap? Yeah, he needed to live.

The thing about those who hate is they have to create others in their own image to justify their hatred. There will be many more following in Kirks footsteps. Thwarting his clones will just have to suffice.

Kevin Roberts of Project 2025 fame said the revolution will be bloodless "if the left allows it to be." Just because we choose not to use weapons to settle issues doesn't mean we don't know how to use them.

Ayup Dave, the American Republic that the Founding Fathers passed on to us us DEAD. Killed by a thousand little fascist cuts inflicted the fascist authoritarian tRump the Malevolent.

Les Carpenter said...

The seeds of the fascist revolution were laid on January 6, 2021. When the currect FOTUS incited a riot at the Capitol hoping his fascist sycophants would overturn the free abd fair 2020 election. And yes, they were violent. And people were injured and died. And it was THE FASCIST CONSERVATIVE tRumpers who were responsible.

So, when blood starts flowing in the streets of America it will most certainly be the authoritarian tRumpian fascists that will bear FULL responsibility for it.

Why is it the left has to lie about most things. Is it to feel better about themselves or just make up for their inept leadership. Jan 6 was not started by trump and kirk was not a racist but the truth doesn't matter to the bitter left. Did trump not act in a responsible time frame on Jan 6th, yes but he did not start it. Did kirk blame the minority community responsible for many of their issues, yes he did.
Something you fail to accept. The DNC, Presidential staff and the vast majority of the media covered up the fact that they don't care about the country only about keeping power even if they knew it was all a lie. It is coming out from multiple sources that biden was incapable of running the country even kamala's book says so.
I assume that is The Fascist Conservative's fault.
Ms. Shaw, I see the administration was listening to you. Now they are going to calm Memphis down.

skud: "Why is it the left has to lie about most things."

Skud, you have to preface your opinions with this: "IMO, ... why is it the left has to lie about most things."

What do you mean by that? Tell me what specific lies about MOST things do you refer to? Otherwise, you're just parroting rabid right-wing propaganda, which is meaningless b.s., IMO.

skud: "Is it to feel better about themselves or just make up for their inept leadership."

Here's what former President Biden's administration accomplished:

The Biden administration passed significant economic legislation, including the American Rescue Plan to aid COVID-19 recovery, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the CHIPS and Science Act to boost domestic semiconductor manufacturing.

In job growth, the economy experienced historic job creation, achieving the lowest average unemployment rate in over 50 years. Wages grew fastest for low-income workers, and new business applications surged.

The American Rescue Plan expanded ACA subsidies, and the Inflation Reduction Act allowed Medicare to negotiate some prescription drug prices, capping insulin costs for seniors.

In foreign policy, Biden restored alliances and strengthened NATO, leading the global response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and admitting Finland and Sweden to the alliance.

Also, Biden signed the most significant gun safety legislation in 30 years and passed the PACT Act to expand healthcare for veterans exposed to toxins.

"Jan 6 was not started by trump and kirk was not a racist but the truth doesn't matter to the bitter left."

Skud isn't even trying to minimize his MAGA racism. He's gone to full-on-fascist projection.

I have been telling you all what he is, and he keeps showing us he has no conscience, and no respect for any of us, except for his fascist ally -FJ.

Dave Dubya said...

Ema,
You called it. Kirk IS a MAGA Martyr and the new Horst Wessel.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud: "Jan 6 was not started by trump and kirk was not a racist but the truth doesn't matter to the bitter left. "

Trump's BIG LIE, that he won the 2020 election is what started J6. Law enforcement officers were beaten, and some died as a result of J6. In his first action after being elected, Trump pardoned the thugs that beat and bear-sprayed the Capitol police. Only a criminal would do such a thing. And Donald Trump IS A CONVICTED FELON, CRIMINAL, so who's surprised he'd pardon other convicted felons? Eh? So you are most definitely not correct in saying Trump did not start J6. "You can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own facts."

When I hear ANYONE, white or non-white, denigrate an entire group of people based on lies, that is my definition of racism. Here's the dictionary definition of racism: "prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized."

Here's what Kirk said about Black women: “If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us ... You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.”

So in Kirk's mind former Secy. of State, Condoleezza Rice, Katherine Johnson, Mae Jemison(astronaut), Jewel Plummer Cobb, and dozens more, did not/do not have the brain processing power to earn their degrees and their accomplishments?

That's the very definition of racism. Therefore, Kirk was a racist.

We understand why there are those who have an affinity for people like Trump, Kirk, and Miller. We also understand where that comes from.

Individuals who admire authoritarian figures are often driven by a combination of psychological, social, and economic factors. Research indicates that these individuals tend to prioritize security, conformity, and obedience to strong leaders, especially during times of heightened fear or uncertainty.

Psychological characteristics

Fearfulness and anxiety: Individuals with authoritarian tendencies often perceive the world as a dangerous and threatening place. This deep-seated fear leads them to seek out powerful figures who promise protection and stability.

Low openness to experience: Studies show that supporters of authoritarian leaders tend to score lower on the "openness to experience" trait from the Big Five personality model. This makes them less receptive to new or unconventional ideas and more comfortable with a rigid social order and traditional values.

High conscientiousness:

These individuals often display high conscientiousness, meaning they have a preference for order, structure, and adherence to social norms. Authoritarian leaders appeal to this desire by offering clear-cut rules and traditional structures.

Conventionalism and submission: Authoritarian followers show a strong adherence to traditional, conventional values and a submissive, uncritical attitude toward perceived moral authorities within their group.

Intolerance of dissent: A core trait is an aggressive hostility toward those who challenge or deviate from established norms. Authoritarian followers often seek to punish these non-conformists.

Rigid, simplistic thinking: They are more likely to engage in dichotomous or "black and white" thinking and are less likely to revise their beliefs even when presented with new information. This helps them idealize a leader and dehumanize out-groups.

skud, this is Charlie Kirk in his own words about MLK, Jr., and the Civil Rights Act:

“Clarence Thomas was a far better black role model to celebrate than Martin Luther King. Period. End of story. This guy is not worthy of a national holiday,” Kirk said.

At Turning Point USA’s America Fest in 2023, he went further: “MLK was awful. … We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s.”

Skud asks... "why is it the left has to lie about most things."

Perhaps I'm overly sensitive. I try to be pretty precise with my language yet on almost every issue or post, Skud finds a way to read into my words, words I've not said and then claim I said, or wrote them.

When confronted with the actual words on the page, the words I actually typed, Skud changes the subject, refuses to admit wrong doing and doubles down.

Skud calling out lies is literally the pot calling the kettle black.
