Trump’s Bombings… legal or folly?
This is getting way less attention
than it should, especially among conservative US citizens.
The United States is summarily
executing citizens from other countries, without any presented evidence. It
started in the Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela and now has expanded to the
Pacific.
As someone who lives and breaths
Mexico, I am worried.
A strike in, out of or on the
coast of Mexico against Mexican citizens, regardless of guilt, will set off all
kinds of international alarms.
Not because the alarmed people
support rampant and illegal drug use, but because to date, the Administration
has provided zero evidence of their claims. The dead in the Caribbean and now
the Pacific were guilty the administration
claims in some Orwellian logic, or we would not have killed them.
President Trump, who claims we are
at war, has not invoked the War powers Act, has submitted no evidence of
wrongdoing and in a historic error, actually released two of the people who
somehow survived a US bombing back to their home countries.
And paid for their flights!
If the released were guilty, as
the White House claimed, and we had them in custody, which we did aboard US
ships, why not bring them here to stand trial instead of sending the home?
Why would the Trump Admin release
alleged terrorists? It defies logic.
The American people deserve
answers to these questions, the future of these operations, and the legal basis
for these attacks and potential attacks on one of closest allies, Mexico.

Here’s what John Yoo had to say
about these attacks. Yoo, no liberal squish, was the author of the famous Bush
era “torture memo”.
“The White House has yet to provide compelling evidence
in court or to Congress that drug cartels have become arms of the Venezuelan
government… To confuse them with wartime enemies is to misuse the tools of war,
erode constitutional limits, and endanger liberty at home.”
Here’s what Senator Rand Paul of
the GOP had to say about these attacks.
“We have dangerous people in a lot of American cities,
but we just don’t
just go in and shoot them… I mean, we have trials. They get legal
representation. And even on the high seas, it’s been that way for generations.”
“We can’t
just kill indiscriminately because we are not at war… It’s summary
execution! Everyone gets a trial because sometimes, the system gets it wrong.
Even the worst of the worst in our country get due process.”
“What a despicable and thoughtless sentiment it is to
glorify killing someone without a trial.”
How does the Trump White House,
the GOP and the MAGAverse justify these attacks?

By longstanding international law, piracy can be prosecuted by any country. I'm waiting for a Spanish judge to issue warrants for Trump and Hesgeth.
I continue to refuse the give the KSoA the respect of calling him President. He represents nobody but himself, his fascist agenda, his greed, and his souless existence.
Piracy may very well be an apt analogy to the action of an idiotic moron and his regime of ignorant followers.
Today new killings were announced, check that, celebrated by Sec Hegseth and President Trump. The United States of America has now summarily executed a total of 43 people in the current campaign against suspected Latin America drug smugglers.
Also, to our conservative friends here, I am well aware President Obama played fast and loose with the rules as it regards killing/bombing terrorists in the Middle East.
For the unaware, the Obama Admin decided anyone on property where a suspected terrorist lived or was located, was to be classified as an "enemy combatant" and was as such, guilty. This included many women and children who were ultimately killed in the rush to eliminate the actual terrorists.
When that happened and when it became apparent, I spoke out against the Obama Admin, as I did frequently when I believed the President was wrong, or doing horrible things.
So please save your both siderisms for someone else.
How many drone attacks did Obama and Dubya order on civilians during the War on Terror?
Like I said many times previously. Make Congress END the War on Terror and repeal the Patriot Act's MASS DOMESTIC SURVEILLANCE activities that render it possible. It's too tempting a tool of power to NOT be abused by ANY domestic politician or group.
Given the huge increase in the price of coffee, I'm guessing some of those little boats were loaded with coffee beans. Tattooed Hegseth must be proud of his ace pilots reduced to such nonsense. Meanwhile Trump is enraged with Canada over a commercial showing Reagan slamming tariff diplomacy. When will he hold his breath until he turns blue? Better than orange.
Slowly, inevitably the corrupt cookie crumbles

Here in Idaho, recall the teacher who was forced to take down her poster up front that read "All Are Welcome Here" featuring many colored hands with red hearts. She went public, quit and was hired on in a more humane school district AND those signs are showing up in several Idaho small towns.
Much friendlier than those 'Welcome to Idaho - Now go home' ones.
See Dave M.'s answer to this above your comment.
Trump is like a 5-year old who throws a tantrum when people show him he's wrong.
Trump is just showing the world he's now the dictator, and he's above the law.
The six traitors on the Supreme Court assured this would happen. "Presidential immunity" is NOT in the Constitution.
The next Democrat can order the execution of those justices by their own perverse interpretation of the rule of law by inventing "presidential immunity".
IF there were an uprising against Republicanazis, those corrupt anti-American justices would finally face true justice. But that won't happen. This republic is finished, and is likely doomed to one-party tyranny for its duration.
Since the "War on Terr" in the Mid East was largely the result of this nation's exploitation of the ME in pursuit of its own interest (cheap oil and influence) without regard to the effect on the region I can understand why many in the ME view us through eys clouded with suspicion and even hatred.
As to the Patriot Act, TSA, and the "War on Terror" I find myself in agreement with -FJ on that point.
GWB's reshaping and expanding of government power to procecute the "War on Terror," both domestic and foreign, ultimately has accomplished very little other than death. And the Zionist state took the same mentality to prosecute it's illegal ethnic cleansing/genocide of over 60,000 completely innocent civilians, over half who were children.
I don't agree with much of -FJ's positions, but on this issue there is, I think not much to argue with.
ALL politicians, tRumpublicsns, democrats, libertarian, democratic socialists, green, communist, whatever, when too power is invested in government any politician and party can be tempted and succumb to the lure of corruption. Exactly what we see unfolding in spades in the regime of KSoA Act II.
Ans now... tRump looking for and more like Putin and Netanyahu every day.
-FJ... I'm a two wrongs don't make anything right. What Obama does not give license to Trump or anyone in his admin to do this. Wrong is wrong no matter who does. Look, the GOP, including the MAGA crowd, have for a while been the morality police in politics. Don't have sex with this person, do this, don't do that, etc. For the life of me, I can't understand why they, including you, just can't say this is wrong.
I mean since you do with Obama.
All great powers, (empires if you will) eventually fade and become shells of their former shells. When the desire to be honest and forthright, to focus the nation on the welfare of its citizens, to develop and maintain relationships founded on honesty and mutual benefit with other nations, to treat all people's equitablably, and so forth, and personal and party gain becomes the overriding criteria and agenda a nation is most definitly in decline.
America is well into that zone under KSoA Act II. The malignant narcissist is acting like a power crazed phycotic with armor of invincibility and a great itch to conquer the world.
We have an unbalanced "man" sitting in the most powerful job in the world. A man with the nuclear cider whk is steadily grooming a totally loyal care of syncophants both in and out of the military to do his bidding.
Dave is right. Unless the people enjoying their power now wake up and correct this situation this country is finished.
There is no way these boats can travel from venezuelam to the US which is 1500-2300 miles. Are they drug boats, I don't know but they are not headed to the US.
