The outlet came to the conclusion by scanning public records and media reports, and determined that eight of the 11 participants in the chat appeared to range from 24 to 35. The ages of three other participants weren't publicly available.
In fact, the report noted, one chat member is a 27-year-old state senator in Vermont."
POLITICO:  "US Capitol police are reportedly investigating after a US flag bearing a swastika was discovered inside the office of Republican House member Dave Taylor of Ohio.
These are not "kids." These are grown men and women, and they represent today's Republican Party under the leadership of their corrupt leader, Donald J. Trump.
Disgusting.
The image, obtained by Politico, shows a modified flag featuring red and white stripes arranged in the form of a swastika – which is virtually synonymous with the Nazis’ genocidal regime.
The flag was displayed on what appears to be a cubicle wall behind Angelo Elia, one of Taylor’s staff members, during a virtual meeting."
When Republicans show you what they are, believe them.

Naw, ain't gonna happen. tRump the felon showed the people of red mental persuasion and light blue mental persuasion who he is. His thousands of lies, his insurrection attempt, his unethical and unlawful behaviors, his racist and misogynistic attitude, and the list goes on. Yet he was elected TWICE.
The vile destructive mentality of the un-American, authoritar
Ian, facis
Repuplican party in 2025, under their Fuhrer tRump
Ain't gonna.happen until their own idiotic dogmatic support for authoritarianism backfires on them and impacts them in very negative fashion as they realize they too are being screwed by the republican
authoritarianism they now support.
It will be interesting to see if our trolls show to comment and what their take on this post will be.
My mom still believes in the 'decent' Republican and I have to remind her that no, anyone who is decent left the party when they accepted full MAGA as their standard. It breaks her heart and I do confess to not correcting her some days. When you know, you know.
Add to this disgusting display (almost said unAmerican but nope, this is who we've been for centuries) is SCOTUS hearing arguments to dismantle the Voting Rights Act which has been law since the sixties. Apparently the fear of discrimination is reason enough justification to throw out one of the biggest steps WeThePeople took to live up to the ideals instilled in our Constitution.
When accustomed to privilege equality feels like oppression.
Your last sentence Grey One sums up the truth of Amerikan conservatism in 2025. As it reminds those of us who are watching of the McCarthy era of te late 40's early 50's on steriods. But back then at least the Greatest Generation was in charge and there were apparently a greater number of rational beings than exist in Amerika today.
I've been taking flack for years for comparing Republicans to Nazis.
I've been called an "America-hating leftist" and "communist" more times than I can remember. Then there's the Felonious Fuhrer who calls us the "enemy within". If that doesn't paint a swastika over their faces, nothing will
Of course none of the radical Right authoritarian con-servatives comprehended that their smears only validate my point.
So we have our litmus test for detecting and confirming who is a neo-Nazi.
Boston Globe: "According to the Politico report, Peter Giunta, an aide to a New York Assembly member, posted, “I Love Hitler” and wrote, “If your pilot is a she and she looks ten shades darker than someone from Sicily, just end it there. Scream the no no word.”
Young Republicans in Kansas exchanged racist and offensive comments about gays and Black people. And in Vermont, Samuel Douglass, a state senator, wrote in a derogatory manner about Indian women.
In a text message to The New York Times on Wednesday, Giunta said he took “complete responsibility” and apologized: “I am so sorry to those offended by the insensitive and inexcusable language found within the more than 28,000 messages of a private group chat.”
Actually, Giunta is sorry that he and his fellow Nazi-admiring Trumpublicans were exposed and found out for what they are.
There is a sickness in the current GOP. Their young Republicans/Trumpublicans are anti-democratic, anti-American Nazi-lovers!
You were attacked, Dave, because you told the truth.
This expose' of what young Republicans think doesn't surprise me. This has been festering in the GOP for years, and their embrace of a corrupt, criminal Trump made them feel comfortable in expressing their beliefs.
Veterans' Day is coming next month. Any sentiment from Trump and his party about veterans' sacrifices and and honor will be a lie, unless Trump comes out with a strong condemnation about these Nazi-loving creeps within his party.
These words, "...that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion" will mean nothing unless Trump insists this Nazi rot within his party is completely excised.
But we all know that Trump has no honor, no decency, no reverence for those who gave their "last full measure of devotion." Trump called those who did, "suckers and losers."
I expect silence from the Felon-in-Chief. Silence implies acceptance of those who've betrayed the soldiers who gave their all fighting AGAINST the fascists and Nazis.
Blast from the past - You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
If truth in advertising laws applied, Democrats would change their name to the Mrs. Grundy Party, The Shamer Party, or the We're Morally Superior Party.
I'd take any of those over Joe's "Racist White Supremacist Neo-Nazi Party".
So, Joe Conservative comes to this post and tries to shame Democrats for being against Nazis and being appalled at the current Trumpublican Party for harboring members of their party who support and admire America's WWII enemies within their ranks?
Am I surprised? Of course not.
JoeCon had the opportunity to say something about the excruciating stupidity of the Party of Trump exhibiting their pro-Nazi proclivities, but instead, as is his habit, he tries to shame Democrats (Mrs. Grundy? Really?) for being angry and appalled at Nazi-loving Conservatives.
Talk about weak sauce, JoeCon. It ain't gonna work here.
You're either for or against Republican Nazis. Period.
Your inability to address that only reinforces what we already know about you: You change the subject and deflect when you have no defense for the indefensible, so we'll put you down as approving of what the Young Pro-Nazi Conservatives of the GOP are about.
And you can put us down as YES! "Morally Superior" when it comes to shaming our World War II enemies.
19 years ago, the Voting Rights Act was reauthorized with a 98-0 vote in the Senate and a 390-33 vote in the House.
The neo-Nazis on the Supreme Court are striking it down, overturning 60 years of precedent.
This is what unaccountable authoritarian governing from the bench looks like.
Now every racist neo-Nazi like Joe is feeling tingles in their groin.
These young Republican racists are the GOP's future, which is why they aren't being challenged by their GOP elders, who would love to have racism become mainstream and acceptable. Republicans want to normalize racism, and SCOTUS is helping them by repealing critical parts of the Voting Rights Act. History shows clearly that racism harms everyone, but Republicans still insist it's America's best future.
Young Republican racists don't have to look any further than the Oval Office for their shining example of racism on steroids. Trump's posthumous Medal of Honor recipient, Charlie Kirk, preached that Black people were better off under Jim Crow in the pre-Civil Rights era. What Kirk never talked about were the thousands of Black men lynched by White men who were never prosecuted, or the millions of Black people who couldn't vote, get decent-paying jobs, or live equally in the country of their birth.
I don't think JoeCon actually cares about this latest scandal in the Conservative Trumpublican Party. I think what turns him on is our reactions to his deliberately provocative comments. In fact, I'm not sure JoeCon is passionate about anything, except his disrupting comments.
From a friend, T. Quinlan:
"Supreme" Court Chief Justice John Roberts claims we can drop important voting rights protections because, he says, race is no longer an issue in the United States.
Meanwhile, the party who gave him the majority, has rising young members like this:
William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n--ga” and “n--guh,” variations of a racial slur; Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic"; “Can we fix the showers? Gas chambers don’t fit the Hitler aesthetic,” Joe Maligno, who previously identified himself as the general counsel for the New York State Young Republicans; “I’m ready to watch people burn now."
It’s taken only 24 hours, but Trump’s Fairy tale of peace in the Middle East seems doomed. And I''m not even going to say I Told You So!
Once again, everyone is speaking in almost entirely contradictory terms about a present that doesn’t reflect reality and a magical future that, given the enormous issues that need to be (and haven’t been) addressed, seems impossible to reach.
And less than 24 hours after Donald announced this “everlasting peace”, Palestinians were still being killed in Gaza, aid trucks stopped from going into Gaza and a row broke out about the failure of Hamas to return the bodies of dead Israeli hostages.
It didn't take long for the "peace in the ME" dream to begin to unravel. Too bad it was too late for Nobel Peace Prize. trump pushed it and threatened everyone to get his peace "dream." Now the tidy red ribbon is beginning to untie. Remember the Camp David accords with Jimmy Carter. They were also hailed as peace in the Mid East. Sadat is assassinated and everything went up in smoke.
We learn once again that Peace at any cost is not a Peace that lasts. But the hostages are free and trump is happy....So, Hey, what the heck!!
Until we see the details and real concrete steps, as well as verification procedures on compliance it is all just talk and photo ops.
chief jUstice rOberts is a lackey now for the racist facists currently in power. The rEthuglican facist party is determined to remove voting right protection to INSURE the POC can legally be discriminated against to enrich white supremacists and racists.
5his nation is being taken back to Jim Crow and massive othering of all people of color. Not all republicans, just the facist racist supporters of tRump, Project 2025, and white supremacy.
This nation, as a ethical or moral country is very well finished for good.
This post isn't about Trump and the ME.
I haven't seen anything about what you've post ITYS. It would have been helpful if you had included links, so that I could use them in a post about your topic.
Y'all would be right at home on The View...
Please explain why you think we're being "prim & proper" because we are disgusted by the adult Conservatives (who belong to the current Republican Party) reveling in Nazi images and texts about people they dislike. They are the future of the Conservative Republican Party talking joyfully about gas chambers, n***ers, slavery, and loving Hitler.
We'd almost forgive them if they were 10-year-old children trying to out-gross their friends and knowing nothing about Hitler, the Holocaust, and what Black Americans suffered in our past. We'd assume those children were too ignorant to understand the implications of what they were saying.
But these were adults and the future leaders of the Conservative Republican Party.
And your reaction to our normal human revulsion is that we're being prissy over their abhorrent and wicked texts.
As I've said earlier, no one's surprised at your deflection and inappropriate defense of the indefensible.
-FJ/JC may well have offspring in that neo-Nazi mob. After all HE loves Hitler too.
And now we have a president who mishandled classified documents having one of his cabinet indicted for mishandling classified documents.
That is just nuts.
That is almost as nuts as a party who spent a billion and a half dollars to lose an election. Half the voters voting for a nitwit narcissist and half voting for a never did anything. Both parties should be embarrassed that they could not come up with a reasonable candidates.
Now you have one party incentivizing a way to have more babies while the other party is trying to get a law to exterminate more of them.
I agree with Les, This nation, as a ethical or moral country is very well finished for good
skud, your comment consists of stuff you've posted here many times in the past, including the absurd claim that Kamala Harris "never did anything."
She was an elected District Attorney of San Francisco, an elected Attorney General of California, an elected Senator from California, and then a vice president of the United States. Your claim is just plain partisan bias and hackery.
And no political party is trying to "get a law" to "exterminate babies." Did you post that while drinking?
The reason this country is a moral/ethical failure is because supposedly moral Americans voted to lead this country a convicted felon, adjudicated sexual assaulter, serial adulterer, liar, cheat, and fraudster who partied for decades with notorious child sex-traffickers and rapists, Epstein and Maxwell.
It would have been nice had you addressed the topic of this post: Conservative Republican men and women in their 20s and 30s extolling Hitler and Nazis, and denigrating African-Americans with slurs and racist talk.
Talk about moral and ethical failings! The Conservative Republican Party of Trump is literally crawling with them!
Once again Joe you fail to tell us why Nazis feel welcome in the GOP. Why is that amigo?
I'm old enough to remember when folks used to say the only good Nazis were dead Nazis. Now, not so much.
For some reason, people like you and the rest of the MAGA world seem unable to simply say anything critical of Nazis and their supporters, like the ones from these text chains.
It speaks volumes of your lack of character and respect for 1000s of Americans who gave their lives to defeat the Nazis in WWII.
And you guys call people like me scum and the source of all of America's problems.
Wow...
As expected, neither Skud not -FJ/JC condemned Republicanazis, but Skud DID say Democrats want to "exterminate babies".
Yeah, they embody the kind of moral/ethical failure that is the really poisoning the blood of America.
Here's one of Skud's and -FJ/JC's heroes protecting babies: (Just ignore the incinerated, bombed, and starved ones.)
On October 10, 1936, Heinrich Himmler created the Reich Central Office for Combating Homosexuality and Abortion, or Special Office (II S), a sub-department of Executive Department II of the Gestapo.
Skud's first two sentences are correct. Kudos for thinking before slipping iinto bobble head mode..
It's interesting to note that our friends, skud, -FJ/JoeCon, had nothing to say about the Nazi/Hitler/racism admirers featured in this post.
Are they too embarrassed to acknowledge the rot in the Party of Trump?
Shaw,
"Are they too embarrassed to acknowledge the rot in the Party of Trump?"
Not at all. Like all authoritarians, they have no shame. And like all authoritarians they share a kinship to one degree or another with Nazis.
Himmler's Reich Central Office for Combating Homosexuality and Abortion is just one area of agreement that I cited. We can add their racism and fondness for an unaccountable secret police force and military occupation of cities as well.
To be clear. Those Republicanazis are THEIR political allies. To disavow them is to disavow their party and ideology.
For they are "Very fine people".
By their silence they are simply acknowledging their approval of the facism rising in Amerika.
"I will be the first to admit that when you carefully consider the words spoken and the behavior exhibited by a very long list of black people, beginning with Justice Jackson, and including Brandon Johnson, Hank Johnson, and Stacy Abrams, and quite frankly, too many more, then you may begin to wonder if there is not something to the argument that blacks (or fill in any other skin color) are far too stupid to exist in America without some mechanism to level the playing field."
Since the author does not see white as a color, what does he think of all the non white people, not just in the states, but around the world. He is racist and of course, like the people in the texts Shaw highlighted, supports President Trump.
Why do such racist people feel so comfortable with Trump and the GOP. And why do they feel no remorse when sharing it?
Skud posted... "And now we have a president who mishandled classified documents having one of his cabinet indicted for mishandling classified documents."
You're slipping Skud. Did you forget that during all the kerfuffle about Trump and his classified documents, you never once admitted then, what you said today, steadfastly trying to excuse Trump's actions by attacking the Biden Admin.
Fascinating.
So, here we are, America. 'No kings" is "hating America", but neo-Nazis are "patriotic Republicans".
Why would we want to lend any credibility to your fascism fetish? It's simply a replacement for the "white supremacist" fetish that underlies the false purpose that sustains the Democratic Party. The DNC, saving the world from paranoid fantasies...
Will Sommer brought the chats and potential reverberations within the GOP to a head with this summation.
After the chats were exposed, the question was whether ithe GOP would say these 30 something men and women of the Young Republicans, people VP Vance called "Young boys" would face expulsion from or be denounced by the GOP on a national level.
Here's how Sommer put it together...
"...at first, that’s what GOP officials and entities tried to do [Expel or discipline the texters]. The Young Republicans national organization called for the chat’s participants to resign and the Kansas GOP suspended its Young Republicans wing, which had members in the chat. Even Roger Stone condemned the content."
"But in a sign of the times we’re in, there was an immediate backlash to the backlash. Both the Young Republicans’ and the Kansas GOP’s tweets were quickly inundated with replies calling them gay."
Then VP Vance excused them completely in his "young men" response.
You see, the GOP can't bring themselves to say even overt racist, Nazi lovers are too extreme for their movement.
I guess former GOP Party Chairman and presidential candidate Pat Buchanan was right when he was worried about losing racist southern voters during the 1968 Nixon campaign. Buchanan said the Nixon campaign was worried about Wallace and his insurgent campaign taking too many souther states because those "racists" as he called them, were "our voters".
Or to put it another way... Buchanan and the GOP were worried in 1968 about racists not voting for GOP candidates that year.
But apparently they needn't have worried. These texts and the responses to them, reveal the racist vote is squarely in the corner of the GOP, as it has been since the Civil Rights era realignment of politics, views of race and our two main political parties.
James Lindsey, a true believing MAGA commenter, seems to be sharing the truth about the recently revealed racist chatters. Here's what he said on X...
“This isn’t about a group chat... A ton of younger MAGA is actually like that.”
Parse what he's saying... because he's on the inside of the MAGA movement. Lindsey is saying the words you've all seen are a fair representation of the young MAGA movement.
Or to put it another way, the young MAGA movement is indeed racist.
"Are they too embarrassed to acknowledge the rot in the Party of Trump?"
Since I don't belong to the party of trump why would I be embarrassed.
Are you embarrassed over your party's blatant lying about senile joe. Are you embarrassed about hunter taking millions and passing it to his dad.
I am in fact embarrassed over our entire elected elites actions. They were elected to represent the American people and they are only interested in expanding the wealth and keeping their job.
David, I do think I pointed out that there is always a news slant protecting biden. Trump was accused rightfully of taking confidential documents and keeping them in his house. Biden was not accused of keeping documents in his garage because he was a senile old man.
Facism is an economic system absolutely loved by capitalists. Republican lawmakers are connected at the hips with capitalist oligarchs through the campaign contributions and perks they look to and willingly accept regularly. Republican fascists will not mess with the hands that feed them.
The Party of Trump just exposed itself as fascist wannabes, all 3,000 IMs attest to their longings to drag America into the sewer with them. Their racist IMs about African Americans prove the obvious— they’re White Supremacists. No amount of your denying it changes that fact. The Party of Trump outed itself with those messages. Own it.
JoeCon has no answer, because those “young” Republicans proved what we already suspected. Joe just can’t face it.
Joe Biden promptly returned the documents as soon as he was told he had them. Trump did not. The fact that you don’t understand the difference only cements the notion that you’re a cryptic MAGA. Trump was told to return the documents several times, he ignored the warnings. Joe returned them immediately. Your MAGA creds are obvious.
You got that right, Les.
As well as fascist.
Skud... I wasn't embarrassed about the Biden Admin hiding his failures, I was and remain angry about it. But, as I've pointed out many times, I called for him to announce after the 2022 midterms that he was pulling out in the interest of America. And in so doing he should have said America needs new leadership. No Biden, and no Trump.
But we now know the group protecting Biden was drawn pretty tight.
As for Biden and confidential documents you are either, as usual, unable to admit when you are wrong, or looking to argue.
All president and vice presidents take some documents with them. Some more than others. But when the archivists finds them missing, their return is requested and until Trump, they were always returned.
Because the US government has been run on the honor system and the idea that our presidents and veeps would honor the system.
Trump did not do that, so he was charged. He wanted the fight, he got the fight and drew the process out until he was reelected and he killed the prosecution.
Those my friend, are the facts. Sorry if they do not line up with your POV.
