While not in the same league as the brutal beatings and tear gassing, as an animal lover I can't imagine the anguish people are going through when something like this happens: Elk River, Minnesota is a small town about 35 miles north of Minneapolis. An Elk River woman was walking her dogs when ICE drove up, grabbed her, separated her from her dogs and took her away. She was quickly flown out of Minnesota. She will be returning to Minnesota by the end of this week and her co-workers were frantically trying to locate her dogs. No one from ICE or DHS is responding to their calls. Now the entire Elk River community is trying to locate her dogs to return them to her. Like so many people, the dogs just "disappeared".
