In their eagerness to answer President Obama's challenge to come up with an alternative budget, the Republican leadership unveiled their budget yesterday to a skeptical public. John Boehner tried to explain how giving more tax cuts to the top 1 percent wealthiest Americans would increase revenues, but was unable to complete his explanation due to the ear-splitting derisive laughter coming from reporters--mainstream, liberal, and conservative.
