HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE TEA BAGGERS WHEN THEIR HERO VOTES AS AN INDEPENDENT

Whew!

Apparently Scott Brown (R.Mass.) has incurred the wrath of the purist tea baggers.  Brown was one of five Republican Senators to vote for a procedural motion on the jobs bill in the Senate yesterday. The motion ended up passing 62-30 which ends debate on the bill allowing it to go forward for a simple majority vote.

How quickly and viciously they turned on their hero:

Scott Brown is heading for Senator Patty Murray status...
"ASOTIN, Wash. -- They say it's all about traditional values and pushing back against the government.
And there were some strong words spoken on Saturday at the Take Back America Rally hosted by the Lewis and Clark Tea Party Patriots.

"How many of you have watched the movie 'Lonesome Dove?'" asked one speaker from the podium. "What happened to Jake when he ran with the wrong crowd? He got hung. And that's what I want to do with (Sen.) Patty Murray."
..the woman speaking got a lot of loud cheers. Teabaggers = lynch mob, huh?

Well said BB-Idaho. You've exposed the tea bagger mentality and I thank you.

I hope not.

Is it really an either or situation?

If it is, we're effed.

Now's the time to prove he's got cojones, and stand up to this vilification he's receiving.

These people are completely bananas.

Ah yes.

Asotin.

In Washington State part of the great chunk of the state blissfully untouched by civilization.

I'm amused by the Teaparty types who freely admit they haven't paid much attention to politics at any level until, lord a'mighty, the nation found itself on its deathbed thanks to the election of the socialist Obama and his far-left minions in congress. If such non-thinking weren't so chuckleheaded and bassackwards it might be comic.

But it's really only pathetic. And, of course, frightening. The no-nothings have awakened from their slumber just in time to tune in Sean, Rush, Bill, Glenn and Pammy Geller and are running with the first lunatic ravings they happened to hear.

And don't get me started on the entitlement issues this crowd needs to work on.

Is this a great country or what?

Cool! Looks like the teabaggers are simmering nicely. Time to add cream.

So now the tea baggers HATE Scott Brown?

Why? Because he did exactly what he said he would do?

Proves my ex-baggers are insane.

Reporting from Washington - For Scott Brown, it appears the "tea party" is over.

Literally overnight, the fledgling Republican senator who ended Democrats' filibuster-proof majority by winning a special election in Massachusetts, has gone from being the darling of America's conservative activists to being their goat.

Monday night, Brown announced that he would join four other Republicans in voting to block a GOP filibuster and move forward with a $15-billion jobs bill designed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). Almost immediately, the political blogosphere exploded.

Criesof "letdown," "betrayal," "sellout," and "RINO" -- "Republican in name only" -- flew around Twitter. By late Tuesday afternoon, more than 4,200 people had left comments on Brown's Facebook page, most harshly negative. (And liberals engaged in some cyber-schadenfreude at the same time.)

Just five days earlier, Brown was cheered loudly by conservative activists at a gathering in Washington. He was so warmly received that some in the crowd began suggesting that he could be another Ronald Reagan and help usher in a new era of conservatism.

Tea Party and other conservative activists felt particularly let down by Brown's Monday vote because many of them had poured money and manpower into his underdog bid to capture the Senate seat long occupied by liberal icon Edward M. Kennedy.

By Monday night, many of his Twitter followers had concluded that a White House run had become out of the question -- even as he entered day 19 of his Senate tenure.

The fracas served as a reminder of how online grass-roots movements can be a double-edged sword. Brown took advantage of the Internet's exponential power to get the word out and raise money as he campaigned. On Monday, he faced its wrath in real time.

For his part, Brown has maintained since winning the Kennedy seat that his votes would reflect his diverse, liberal-leaning constituency. Two other northeastern Republicans, Susan Collins and Olympia J. Snowe of Maine, also voted with the Democrats.

"I came to Washington to be an independent voice, to put politics aside, and to do everything in my power to help create jobs for Massachusetts families," Brown said in a statement after the vote. "This Senate jobs bill is not perfect. I wish the tax cuts were deeper and broader, but I voted for it because it contains measures that will help put people back to work."

It is incredible how silent the tea baggers are now that their hero and Kennedy slayer Scott Brown has joined with the Dems and the Independents.

Was it just a little over a month ago that they were crowing over how he took Teddy's seat away from the Dems and that he'd be the next Republican president?

Only a month ago?

Excuse me while I LMFAO!!!

What's amazing is that they would rather just say no at all costs rather than provide solutions, in this case, create jobs. They are all about getting back in power and nothing else. They're disgusting.

Where are all the trollz shaw that came here right after Brown won in Massachusetts to crow about the upset?

Hm. Kind of what I expected of Scott Brown. No real shock or fury there.

If they had figured out that then were electing a Republican, not a conservative Republican (it IS Massachusetts), then it wouldn't have been a shock. But when you look at the letter behind the name and not the person on the ticket, you're bound to prove yourself a mindless dolt

Thankfully, I have my own senator (Voinovitch) to despise over this vote. :)

Will people still support Brown for president?

Him and Ron Paul are independents aren't they?
