The Stupidest Man on the Internet, Jim Hoft...

...gets it WRONG AGAIN!  And his thousands of little conservabots continue to pass along his bullpuckey.

From Jim Hoft, the Gateway Idiot Pundit

"Just in case you want more Obama in your life… AT&T is loading iPhones with emergency alerts from Barack Obama… That you can’t switch off.

Engadget reported: AT&T has begun rolling out Wireless Emergency Alerts updates for iPhone 4S and 5, so you won’t be the last folks to know if the entire northern hemisphere is about to be covered in ice à la Day After Tomorrow. You’ll receive a notification from the carrier when your update is ready, but only if you’re using iOS 6.1 or higher.

Once installed, AMBER and Emergency alerts are automatically sent to your phone unless you switch them off via Settings. However, should you be tired of Obama, just know that there’s no way to switch off Presidential alerts. So now Barack can track your calls and send you messages, too."

"Seems old Dim Jim forgets that the WARN Act (passed in 2006) is what allows AT&T and the other wireless providers to send region-specific notifications for AMBER alerts, Sever Weather alerts, and other alerts that maybe you might want to know about to protect yourself.

Dim Jim also fails to realize that all recent weather radios also support SAME notifications."

It's not for nothing that Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit is known as the Stupidest Man on the Internet!

The wingnuts loved it when it passed. Jim DeMint was a big supporter. This article from Media Matters gives the background.

Stupid it seems is becoming the descriptive adjective of choice these days. Even when describing one with intelligence. Hm, wonder why that is?

Thank you for the link, Jerry.

The conservative knee-jerk reaction to anything President Obama does during his presidency is to wet their pants with fear and loathing.

Jim Hoft is a embarrassing idiot who has a following of even more idiots who never bother to find out if what he posts is correct.

The WARN system is no different from the old Emergency Broadcast System. But because President Obama is continuing what was started by his predecessor, it MUST BE EVUL!

The conservative sickness of "All FEAR AND ALL HATE ALL THE TIME" over this presidency has caused them to lose their hold on reality.

RN, there is no other term to describe these nonsensical actions and reactions by people who ought to know better.

Thank yoi Jerry for confirming my suspicions.

If you don't like it, whether or not it exists, you can always Jailbreak your phone and fix it.

Speaking the truth is a "suspicion?" Facts speak for themselves, if that shines light on Republican stupidity, great.

RN USA responds... Great, no poblemo!!!

Also RN USA says... If speaking the truth shines a light on the progressives stupidity GREAT as well!

Agreed John?

I'm with RN in suspecting that Jerry tells the truth, although my suspicions were confirmed a long time ago.

As for the article, I'd never heard of Jim Hoft before. Why does he call himself the "gateway" pundit? Clearly he is the gateway to idiocy, but I doubt that is why he chose the name. Personally I prefer the Rude Pundit.

wd/SA... as your glaring partisanship once again shine brightly through the very haze of your extreme progressive positions.

Bravo, keep up the slavish work to your total ideologically driven motivation.

As bad as Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit. His gateway to reason is as clouded as your own.

This is a post about Republican stupidity. I await your post on Democratic stupidity.
Who do you think has been dumber in the last 2 years? The last 20 years?

Jerry Critter said...

Idiology
A system of ideas and ideals, esp. one that forms the basis of economic or political policy....

Aren't most people driven by some ideology, even you, RN?

Dear John,

There are a gazillion conservative blogs out there that talk about Democrats' stupidity. I'm sure you'll be able to find them. They're full of rancor and hate and a lot of misinformation that they get from people like "The Stupidest Man on the Internet."

I leave that job to them. Nowhere on my blog do I state I am neutral. Afterall, it is titled, PROGRESSIVE Eruptions.

The GOP leads all others in their slavish devotion to stupidity.

Where are the equivalent liberal positions on women's reproductive rights? Who are the liberals who shoot their mouths off on "legitimate rape?" Where are the Democrats who want to force unnecessary medical procedures on girls and women before allowing a legal medical procedure? Where?

Where on the left are the people as nuts as a Michele Bachmann--people who hold positions on sensitive House committees? People who, on national teevee while running for the PRESIDENCY fagawdsake! who say inane and stupid things like HPV vaccine makes girls retarded? Or that they suspect members of Congress to be "anti-American" and that Congress should "look into that?"

Rick "Ooops" Perry? Herman "999" Cain? Ron "Uncle Liberty" Paul?

You want to talk about the liberals? I have a suggestion: try blogging. It's fun!

Responding to RN

Sorry.

Hard to tell who is speaking to whom on these comments. I often get criticized by people all the time, telling me what I should blog about.

Dear DS and RN,

Both of your are welcome here, as you know.

I do hope your comments to each other will not turn into a flame-throwing war.

Les Carpenter said...

It might with wd/DS. I have simply hit the ignore switch.

Jerry: Aren't most people driven by some ideology, even you, RN?

But his ideology (Objectivism) is better than everyone else's! That's the difference, don't you see?

Shaw: I do hope your comments to each other will not turn into a flame-throwing war.

I was only engaging in a little good-natured tweaking of RN. In any case, I'm the wronged party (in that RN banned me from his blog for no good reason) and I'm not angry. Is RN angry? I'd say there is no "flame war" if neither of us is angry.

Good. thanks.
