General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

"There are over 18,000 ranchers who lease western BLM lands.

The permits and rates were set by presidential executive order (R. Reagan)-

'The Federal grazing fee, which applies to Federal lands in 16 Western states on public lands managed by the BLM and the U.S. Forest Service, is adjusted annually and is calculated by using a formula originally set by Congress in the Public Rangelands Improvement Act of 1978.

Under this formula, as modified and extended by a presidential Executive Order issued in 1986, the grazing fee cannot fall below $1.35 per animal unit month (AUM); also, any fee increase or decrease cannot exceed 25 percent of the previous year’s level. (An AUM is the amount of forage needed to sustain one cow and her calf, one horse, or five sheep or goats for a month.) The grazing fee for 2014 is $1.35 per AUM, the same level as it was in 2013'

For the most part, the arrangement has been mutually successful, most ranchers love the land as much as anyone, the rates are low, the land is shared with fishermen, hunters and campers and the 'rent' goes to its upkeep."    --BB-Idaho, P.E. commenter

______________~

To use government property for your own private purposes is allowed but require the user to meet certain conditions. One of these conditions is to pay fees/taxes for the use of the property. Mr Bundy has not paid the fees making his actions in violation of laws/regulations/rules!

Mr Bundy is under a valid USA court-order not to graze his cattle on federal land as a result of Mr Bundy’s failure to obey laws/regulations/rules. Mr Bundy is the law breaker.

It is reasonable for one to expect that USA will destroy Mr Bundy just like any other petty common criminal; through the courts. Mr Bundy will be taken in front of a judge/court, arrested for violating the law, his property confiscated, and finally placed behind bars for a very long time.

Can you link to something that verifies President Reagan said the misquote.

I may want to do a poster with President Obama saying "if you like your plan you can keep your plan" with the actual number of people who lost theirs.

You know, because we're talking about facts and all.

Ronald Reagan did say that at the 1988 Republican convention, and then he corrected himself.

Remember how nice the righties were about the "You didn't build that" quote by Mr. Obama when they conveniently left out the antecendent that explained what he was talking about?

As for the "you can keep your plan," in many cases that was true, but he should have qualified that statement.

"What does an actor know about politics?" -criticizing Ed Asner for opposing American foreign policy

"How can a president not be an actor?" -when asked "How could an actor become president?'

WHY
Are Progressives Such Pigs?

April 18, 2014 at 7:53 AM"

Here's the dirt on pigs:

They are perhaps the smartest, cleanest domestic animals known - more so than cats and dogs, according to some experts.

But pigs don't have sweat glands, so they roll around in the mud to stay cool. A sign of their cleverness came from experiments in the 1990s.

Pigs were trained to move a cursor on a video screen with their snouts and used the cursor to distinguish between scribbles they knew and those they were seeing for the first time. They learned the task as quickly as chimpanzees."

Seems that to be compared to a pig is actually a compliment.

I wonder if that wingnut knows how to use a cursor, he/she certainly doesn't know how to use his/her brain.

Conservative Nooz pundits are likely disappointed that the encounter didn't turn violent. They were obviously aching for this standoff to become another Wacko.

BTW, President Obama told the truth when he said, "If you like your health insurance plan, you can keep it". The ACA allows insurers and employers to "grandfather" plans offered before the bill became law.

According to USA Today... Grandfathered health plans do not have to meet all of the law's new coverage requirements. But in order to be grandfathered, health plans must have existed on March 23, 2010. Those with individual grandfathered plans had to have them before the law took effect. And to maintain their grandfathered status, the plans must not be changed to cut benefits or significantly raise prices for consumers through deductibles or copays.

The insurers changed the plans making them ineligible to be grandfathered, thus it is the insurers who are responsible for taking plans away from people. The ACA is NOT single-payer and private insurers will do things the government can't control.
