While no one was paying attention, the House Republicans
"...quietly secured a recent change in President Barack Obama’s health law to expand coverage choices, a striking, one-of-a-kind departure from dozens of high-decibel attempts to repeal or dismember it.
Democrats describe the change involving small-business coverage options as a straightforward improvement of the type they are eager to make, and Obama signed it into law.
Republicans are loath to agree, given the strong sentiment among the rank and file that the only fix the law deserves is a burial. ….
No member of the House GOP leadership has publicly hailed the fix, which was tucked, at Republicans’ request, into legislation preventing a cut in payments to doctors who treat Medicare patients.
Reps. John Boehner (R-OH) and Eric Cantor (R-VA) did such a good job of hiding the fix in the bill that many House Republicans might have had no idea that they were voting on this Obamacare fix. Last month, House Republican leaders introduced three fixes to the ACA while their party was distracted by CPAC." --PoliticusUSA
"Democrats now have a chance to shift the healthcare debate from whether the law should be repealed to how to improve it. Recent polls have found that between 53% and 71% of respondents (depending on how the question is worded) favor keeping the law and fixing it."--Doyle McManus, LATimes
I wonder when Speaker Boehner will hold another vote to repeal the A.C.A.? It's been a while, and the sheeple in his party need to know that the House Republicans are doing their jobs as good little Kabuki players.
Definition of idiocy: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. (See above.)
LOL!

I don't expect everything to turn out peachy in the world, but when it hits the fan I expect the truth over it and not lies from the Koch suckers.
And that's the bottom line.
Re: The TeaPublicans going nuts over the success of Obamacare?
Is it wrong that I'm smiling?
"WASHINGTON — At the prodding of business organizations, House Republicans quietly secured a recent change in President Obama’s health law to expand coverage choices, a striking, one-of-a-kind departure from dozens of high-decibel attempts to repeal or dismember it.
Democrats describe the change involving small-business coverage options as a straightforward improvement of the type they are eager to make, and Obama signed it into law. ‘‘Maybe you say it helps [the Obama law], but it really helps the small businessman,’’ said Representative Phil Roe, Republican of Tennessee, one of several physician-lawmakers among Republicans and an advocate of repeal.
No member of the House GOP leadership has publicly hailed the fix,"
Hypocrites!
Re: Sarah Palin and her Death Panel lies about Obamacare: In addition to her age problem and she is NOT at all aging well....in fact ..she ..is NOT fit to be in any position of the United Stated Government or even opening her mouth on anything except to tell the world that she can see Putin's house from her front porch, and his curtains are ugly.
So they make what is apparently a useful modification but can't publicize the change because they've let the Baggers back them into a corner that demands, Repeal or Die Trying.
That's your contemporary Republican party. You need little additional proof that the crazies are driving the bus.
Yeah, it's lucky they did that while no one was paying attention. The base would crucify them if it caught them doing anything sane or constructive.
In that case Infidel753, we need to let their base know.
Bernie Sanders: "The Republicans have opposed the Affordable Care Act from day one. It is their nightmare that it succeeds. These are the same guys that want to end Medicare as we know it. Convert it into a voucher program, who want to make massive cuts into Medicaid. Who had eight years under Bush to do something, even a little thing, about healthcare, and they did nothing.
So these guys have nothing at all to say, and their nightmare is that as millions of people begin to get affordable health insurance, as the Medicaid program expands and people who have never had health insurance in their lives finally are able to go into a doctor. For the Republicans, this is a nightmare. Imagine, if the United States government does something for ordinary people and not just billionaires. What kind of nightmare is that. That is what their biggest fear is."
Who expects the House Republicans to do anything to help the American people when its easier to attack President Obama?
A wise person expects neither party to do help the American people or to preserve their liberties and proceeds cautiously from there.
Be ever vigilant in safeguarding liberty and free thought. The nation's continued existance as a democratic republic depends on it.
"A wise person expects neither party to do help the American people..."
Because we live in a representative democracy, we are dependent on representatives of both political party to help us since, as an individual, I cannot pass laws or determine if those laws are Constitutional.
We have to be careful about WHOM we send to Washington to represent us.
And no matter how vigilant we are as individuals, we cannot control how those individuals are influenced by money and power.
We are a republic, and what we get for a government is what we vote for.
Helping the American people is part of their job. You know, the whole promote the general welfare thing. Part of the problem now is that they are not helping all American people, only a few of the American people.
What this shows is that the Repubs know the right thing to do is work with the Dems to make the ACA better but know their ignorant base won't accept it.
I also agree that helping the American people is part of the job of Congress. Those who pull the strings of the Right (as well as those who have fallen for their propaganda) believe we should expect nothing. That is only "wise", IMO, if you're a selfish plutocrat whose only concern is protecting your wealth (at the expense of the rest of the country).
