Marty!

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh

Good for you Mayor Walsh!

By Eric Levenson @ejleven Boston.com Staff | 07.15.15

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh will “absolutely not” apologize to Donald Trump for criticizing the presidential candidate’s controversial comments on immigration, a Walsh spokesperson told Boston.com.

The feud began when Walsh called Trump’s inflammatory comments on Mexican immigrants “inappropriate” in an interview with the Boston Herald. “And if he wanted to build a hotel here, he’d have to make some apologies to people in this country,” said Walsh, who is the son of immigrants from Ireland.

Trump made headlines when he claimed in his presidential announcement speech that Mexican immigrants are “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people.”

In true Trump fashion, the bombastic real estate scion declined to apologize “because everyone’s saying I’m right,” he told radio host Howie Carr. He then demanded an apology from Walsh while referring to himself in the third person.

“I think Walsh, whoever he may be, should absolutely apologize to Mr. Trump,” Trump said. “I expect him to apologize to me, and if he doesn’t, the voters should vote him the hell out of office.”

Expect this to be the end of Walsh’s foray into Trumpian politics. Walsh’s spokesperson said he does not have plans to discuss Trump’s comments on immigration again.

A history of Donald Trump thinking he knows better than Boston

Mr. Trump says Boston voters should vote Marty Walsh out of office because he will not apologize to a bloviating ignoramus!

And Trumpy refers to himself in the third person?

We are very much amused!

The Baggers love Trump. They believe he's what this country needs as a leader.

Trump is an enormous pompous ass. That's all you need to know about thenm and him.

"This is the reality of the Republican Party. They may want Trump to shut up, but this is what they sound like, and for whatever reason, they are horrified. No Democrat alive, not Barack Obama, not even Bernie Sanders, could have stirred up this ant’s nest of hate."

The Tea Partyers LOVE Donald. He sounds just like them: Loud, dumb, and racist.

Re: Trump's remarks to Walsh: Arrogant, bombastic, narcissistic, thin-skinned naïveté is not a good public persona for one seeking the presidency. Or even a dog catcher, for that matter.
