General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Sunday Science Blog
Neil deGrasse Tyson's Brief History of Everything:
I have to admit I don't understand the concept of the four basic forces originally being unified and then splitting apart -- nor most of the discussion in that early part of the video. (When it comes to science, I'm basically a biology guy.) But I'm very glad we have people who do understand those things.
As for those who wave away all this and insist that everything was created in some childishly simple way by a magic man in the sky, followed by even sillier drivel about a talking snake and a woman made from a rib, they're a disgrace to the hard work of generations of thinkers who brought us as far as we've come.
There are many intelligent folks that believe in a supreme being Jerry. Or put another way it isn't just Tea Party folks and stupids who belive in a this stuff.
For us it is, to the intelligent believer it is not. For many it is a help and comfort. I know this first hand as both my father and sister are educated and highly intelligent. Belief has in their case been a positive, even life saving support.

Hm, could god have formed from anti matter? :-)
Boy! That's a lot of stuff to happen in only 6000 years. (Neil got the time wrong. Just ask the fundies.)
Jerry, LOL!
RN, Humans have been forming gods from everything since we branched off from the great apes.
Don't know if any deities were formed of anti-matter, but Tea Baggers sure are.

Wow! That was amazing! Love Neil's work!
No, deities were not created from anti-matter. They were created from the Stupid.

RN: But the belief itself is still stupid.

Sometimes Infidel753 it simply is what it is.
Your right. RN. The intelligent and compassionate people have a god that is intelligent and compassionate. They use that God for good.
The stupid people have a god that is controlling and vengeful. They use that god to justify evil and control of others.
Thank you Jerry. You hit the nail on it's head.
